Most comprehensive video on the history of Namma metro. Phenomenal effort and presentation. Quite amused that so many construction companies were involved in bits and pieces of the routes. 175km is the golden number to reach by 2027.
Excellent video with a lot of good information! I feel phase 3 includes a lot of good areas, and now the focus should be on the old airport road and inner ring road metros as opposed to random extensions. That's what will benefit the largest number of people, especially where congestion is already a big problem. Keep up the excellent work!
Its a wonderful and detailed video on Namma Metro. Please make a video on Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project , Bengaluru Circular Rail Link project when you get time. If you are aware of roadway projects, you can also make a video on Satellite Township Ring Road In Bengaluru & Bangalore Peripheral Ring Road projects.
I think the idea to build metro/rrts connecting rural Bengaluru and tumkur is so that people move out of the city further reducing the vehicles on road and decongesting the city.
Pink line should have been extended till Jigani instead of kalena agrahara. Because Jigani is an industrial area fast developing into important suburb.or Heba Gadi to Jigani strech where important tech industry like HCL BIOCON and other industries in Jigani.
Cannot appreciate enough! The amount of information, hard work and dedication that's gone into the making of these videos is incredible! So happy to see all this information being presented in such a easy and accessible manner :) Thank you!
I have simply given up,looks like everything is delayed, yellow line, pink line, blue line. Next six months till Yellow Line launches,we have to suffer with traffic
Yellow lines have been delayed as the metro coaches have not been delivered yet by titagarh rail and will be delivered only by end of July or August and hence operation will start by only December after inspection
@@prasadanand1252 Stop trying to justify your comment. If you were really interested you should have done your own research as to why the yellow line is delayed. They are mAny factors other than just this including the lack of workers after COVID. The tender for the metro coaches was done in 2020 and won by crrc of China as the lowest bidder for the yellow line but since we have had issues with China since 2020 the prototype coaches were supposed to reach by 2021 but came only last year and now the metro coaches can't come directly from China so they had to form a partnership with titagarh rail of India and they will be manufacturing it now and there has been a delay from them, so don't always think only the government is at fault as it's the objective of the contractors too complete projects on time
Superb video ❤ But you missed on the info on rolling stock and delays faced by yellow line. Also the Blue line station's position at CSB is not correct. Really appreciate your hardwork behind this👏👏
Bangalore proves that steady and consistent effort only can improve infrastructure. Contrast it with Hyderabad metro, which has been a mess in tendering, construction and operation all three.
Yes you are right, PPP may not really click ....because the private sector will lack patience and would want to go into profits immediately. But such massive projects will have long gestation periods which is bearing fruit in BMRCL today. In the next ten years the 8 metro lines along with 4 suburban lines will carry a population of atleast 5 million
@mrt_rails : Good coverage. You forgot to mention one critical thing. ELRTS Cess of INR 1.00 on each and every Litre of petrol was collected in Bengaluru city for decades. I have no clue what happened to all that money?
Old airport road to whitefield or varthur needs a metro line asap, the traffic there is quite alarming. Also there seems to be no plannings from the govt side to reduce the traffic as of now.
sir, a very good episode....but I feel you are dwelling more on the past which most of know is not very useful. You can instead steer or the current works and future scope of works too. Please also dwell a bit on suburban rail too......experts like you can suggest your ideas on social media, this will be supported by citizens
Yes, even I believe that an RRTS system like the one in Delhi can be more effective to connect Bengaluru to suburbs like Tumakuru, Devanahalli, Bidadi, Hosur etc.
Metro somewhat ease traffic a little. But the cargo and hawker small businessmen labourers transport through electric trains similar to Mumbai, Chennai is also very much needed
Pls stop ornage line planning....and dont spoil older areas such as hosakerahalli, kadrinehalli, kamakya areas...instead invest in rajakaluve ottuvari plans and good rain water harvesting plans and plant more trees and reduce cememt roads ....
Metro shouldn't be used to connect places outside the Bengaluru Metropolitan Area (Area controlled by BDA), Places in Bengaluru Metropolitan Region, Tumakuru and Hosur should be connected with Suburban Railways and RRTS.
Namma metro is the worst metro in terms of metro coaches, stations and access to stations. I have travelled in Delhi, Chennai and Kochi metroes and they are way better designed and implemented. For start just get down at kempagowda metro station and try to reach the railway station. Now do similar thing in Delhi and chennai and you know what I mean.

Agreed. I also work in HCL 12:30pm to 10:00pm shift.. I don't have bike also.. it's very hassle to go back to my room at Koramangala after 10pm😢
if possible reduce the background music volume to low so that senior citizens can also watch as the sound can be bit overwhelming , amazing content .
Great upload.. Cheers😊
Thank you!

Yes ur ryt govt shd take a call & implement more metro lines inside the sude rather outside the city

Isn't there a plan for extending the metro line purple line from Whitefield (kadugodi) to the Airport via Budigere or it was cancelled?

Update regarding orange Line
RRTS can be preferred to connect the suburbs of Bengaluru I would say.

What about the airport metro?
Extend Metro till Nelamangala it’s essential Junction worst traffic jam ever due to rapid increase in population and congestion urbanisation 🌇

Nothing along the NICE road?
48:43 Blue line of delhi metro is the first inter-state metro. And there are many routes of delhi metro which goes to Haryana and UP.
That’s the reason he said gonna be “south India’s” first if approved . He knows I’m north India Delhi has inter state metro!
