Nice. Brings back memories of when I owned an 88 New Yorker with the 318. When your ready to do the starter, find a 1990s V8 Dakota and pull the mini starter. You’ll have more room to do things down there.

I can sophisticatedly turn the steering wheel with my pinky finger now! Nyess, nyess. Up next for this rig is an overhaul of the front brakes!

Strongly advise you to replace those hoses. Especially the pressure hose. If it bursts, you will have a engine fire. I easily found the hoses two years ago. Rock Auto!

Mighta Coulda Shoulda....I have less strain on arm and system by raising steer tires off ground when bleeding

Babe, jack up front of the car & turn the wheel back n forth without running the engine- this will pushes fluid thru gear & back without getting air into the pump or gear

Remove the lean burn/spark control computer and ditch that power robbing carb..
Find a carb from a non smog usually truck/van from the 70's..Cars were tricky some used the smog carb and others didnt..Cant remember the carb as last time I did this was in 1999..since then I go 4bbl..would be safe to grab a cars 69 2bbl from a 318 most i've seen were good.
Vacuum advance distributor, mopar orange box ecu or since you like GM use a HEI those work good too...
But carburetor if you are running a 2bbl find a non smog 2bbl the smog 2bbl is a dud it kills power your car wont rev or even move when floored!!! It will seem you gained 100hp,no joke! Even with the 2.45 rear axle ratio!
