“It’s a book-I read it!” 😂 I love ash oak and thorn - and the follow up of rowan and yew! I like the whole of the tea dragons but not individually so much. Though the artwork and representation is great in all of them!
I just read The Tea Dragon Society for the first time and it was lovely. Really liked the deaf representation with the sign language illustrations. You’re doing so well with all the shorties! After my good start I’ve gone off the rails but at least I read some. 😂
After hearing you talk about it, I acquired a copy of The Weekend from work and gave another to one of our volunteers. So pleased that you've picked up Frockodile and hope you like it.
Well done Ros!! So satisfying to get it completed 🏆Finished the zine today as used a Moomins book for the Shorty shorts prompt. I had planned another one but got bored of it 😉
I have Drop Bear saved on my scribd! Thanks for reviewing it so that I know it’s worth the read 😜 I’m doing so badly with shorty September 😂😂 I’ve read 2 and a half 🤦♀️ I missed the Gothtober announcement!! I’ll have to check that out next!
You have had a LOT on your plate so two is still brilliant ❤️ I am completely free balling Gothtober but it I am still excited for it as I am craving the SPOOKY books!!
I read the tea dragon society earlier this year and it was such a lovely graphic novel, I agree. It made me want to continue on with the rest of the series at some point. Ah I read the deep blue between a few years ago when I was doing a 30 books in 30 days challenge. Yay happy to have you on board for gothtober and of course perfectly okay to be very flexible with the prompts! Yay for more death note I love that series x
As a reader with very little idea of the writing process, the Trent Dalton book is super interesting. Im also trying to figure out how to do victober and gothtober at the same time. A fun problem to have.
The Trent Dalton is less about the writing process and more about him listening and telling us the things that the strangers told him. Still a great listen though. Gonna to try and read by whim as much as possible. I think depending on your taste there are a few Victober books you can use for Gothtober too. I am going to try and re-read Dracula and that would work for both.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. You are doing so well with all the short books! I am very happy now it's autumn 😊🍂
Thank you Jennifer 😘❤️

I finished my twelth shorty and finished filling in my zine yesterday. I was ridiculously delighted. Death Note 1 was one of them!

@@CharlieBrookReads writing in the twelth title deserves a little cheer. Love the Moomintrolls 😃
I think I’ll pick up Little Women for Victober! what a treat 💖
Not sure it counts as a Victober book but you can read whichever books you like whenever 😉❤️Plus Little Women is an amazing book!!

I really wanna read Tales of the City! Might get it on audio 😮
The audiobook is really good. 😊

The Natural Way of Things is very different from The Weekend, kind of dystopian.
Well that’s good to know Janet. Thank you. I still love her writing enough to give it a go though ☺️Have you read it?
Yes and I thought it was good, a bit unsettling.
I saw the weekend in Bas books and wondered about it. You liking it makes me hope it’s not sold when I next work 🫰🏻📚🥰
You can borrow my copy if not. 😘❤️
