    This is how you show case something great. I appreciate the fact you repaired the part as opposed to just replacing it. Often many of these smaller items can just be fixed at a much lower cost and if you get your diagnosis wrong the repair was less than a non-returnable electric part.

    ps some times
    the spring loses
    compression
    give it a little stretch
    also a cleaning with brake cleaner is always a good thing
    use a qtip or old tooth brush

    Thanks my friend I did like yuo show in the video, and now the valve works perfect..
    Plus I blow air in the lines fron the charcoal canisters tu the engine and was a lot charcoal inside de pipes..
    Good job..
    Muchas gracias amigo hice lo que muestras en el video y funciono perfecto
    Tuve que ponerle aire a presión a las líneas de vacío desde el canester de carbón asta el motor o la válvula

    1:44. Question, is the things inside the sensor junk I need to clean out? Or is it normal?

    Purchased a new valve for $60 and took less than 10 minutes to replace. Only tool needed was a 10 mm socket. One less recurring issue in the future.

    Thank you !! Great informative video. But not worth my time, I’ll buy a new one since at the end of the day it was still not holding vacuum after you fixed it

      Maybe a different size O-ring and making sure that inside is thoroughly clean might help. I really find our throwaway society to be disturbing.

    do you know how i fix P0444 PURGE VOLUME CONTROL VALVE PU code?

  • @daviddowns7552
    @daviddowns7552 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    i fixed mine. i got code po446. i erased it a time or two. after i took a good look at my evap solenoid i seen a torn vacume line. i unplugged solenoid,,,replaced new hose around 2". and erased code. ( car runs back smoother and much less fuel now. )

  • @daviddowns7552

    question ? frame 4:40. i just slipped a 2' inch piece of rubber hose over nipple area on evap solenoid+ no spring or o ring on mine. and erased code. it fixed mine. it runs real good. the plastic thin brittle lines are easy to break,, espessially if car is older imo. does what i mentioned sound right.?

  • @SLiveForTheMoment
    @SLiveForTheMoment ปีที่แล้ว

    Can that cause a p0448?

    • @IshMotorparts
      @IshMotorparts  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes this can cause P0448 code if it stuck Close

    • @IshMotorparts
      @IshMotorparts  ปีที่แล้ว

      That means could be a broken wire or loose wire, hot wire or ground wire

      @@IshMotorparts oh
      Cause last year around this time I took it to a shop did smoke test etc and they change the vent control valve but the next day when I start up engine code appear again but the same time I had a airbag recall when I took it to Nissan and I guess they reset the computer after the airbag the code went away for a year and last week it appears back , so you think it can be the wire ? Or which part should I try next ? Thanks

      First test the purge valv first if it clicks on and off then that's good, now check the wires with a multimeter. Before you start or put the key in you shouldn't get nothing and then start the car now you should get 14.oo from the block and white. And .22 from the block and green, with the black lids on the negative side of the battery. Now at the pigtails now Red on black and white Black on black and green at this point you should be getting 13.5-14.00 volts. If that's good then now check the vacuum line from evap canister to the purge valv. At that point you should fixed the problem already. Hope that helps thanks for watching and subscribing

    Mines squeaks when I come to a stop and my idle drop and almost cuts off. I need to replace it.

    • @IshMotorparts
      @IshMotorparts  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, no need to change the Purge valv, because sounds like you got different problems

      @@IshMotorparts I later found out that the squeak noise was coming from my gas cap, but I also have a bad purge valve too. Thanks.
