    Good architectural drawing should create spaces not solely based on aesthetics but rather the drawing should represent a space that feels functionally comfortable, which includes tree shade so that the outside of the building isn't baking in scorching sunlight.
    We need to move beyond looking at buildings as they appear in aesthetic abstraction toward looking at them as absorbers of sunlight that heat up and emit convection currents into the air and act as greenhouses using the sunlight that does penetrate into the building.
    Trees are absorbers of sunlight that don't re-radiate the energy as heat, so trees and plants should have a cooling effect on the architectural drawing just as they do in actual built environments.

    I think the white light is the cause for making the drawing with pencil hard to see as the shine of light is reflected abit by the shade of grey of the pencil.

      It represents the relationship of building and nature in a drawing
      Secondly it dictates the scale of the building that tells how tall and huge the building is.
      Thirdly it adds the detail on how we see the plan in an actual existence...

    Thanks
