1.) The singer of this cover is Miyashita Yuu, a man. He is not a woman; he just has a very broad range. And yes, he did this entire cover himself.
2.) This is a cover. The original was produced by kikuo and sung by Hatsune Miku. This is not "stealing" as vocaloid producers allow utaite like Yuu to cover their songs by providing off-vocals of their songs. So long as credit is given, as Yuu has done, they are allowed to cover the song.
3.) The subtitles can't be altered through TH-cam's subtitle system. They were created using the program Aegisub and YTSubConverter. Taringtajam is the one who made them and has their own channel where they even have a tutorial on the primary tags for Aegisub.
4.) This is not the seiyuu for Hanako.
5.) Utattemita is a term that is usually literally translated as "I tried to sing". The word itself got coined on NicoNicoDouga, a Japanese streaming service. Edit: Okay wow i came back after 6 months and I wanna clear this off. I think its most problem with Asian children where they were being pressured to be successful in their parents terms , and with their decisions disregarded they tend to fail a lot. Compared to the other covers I heard before like ado, this one feels like the singer is still trying to keep its composure unlike going all out. I dont know for everyone else but this one gives more chills and pity.
The other covers tells a story where the person speaks out to their parents, expressing anger, sorrow, and a suffocating feeling. Or perhaps the full story; a story where the person dealt with their parents bs and ending it all expressing everything out with the loudest screams and voice.
But this one omg. It seems to showcase the character's inner self still in the unreachable-expectations situation, drowning and inhaling water hoping they can breathe again. And it puts you, the listener to that feeling of suffocation.

This song is about a cursed necklace, it wants attention, and when it's not given to it, it tightens on the person's neck. It usually chooses people who has been abused, or has low self-esteem. A girl follows its orders, to put the necklace on. The necklace wants people, attention. So the girl start to get good qualifications on school, and the teachers like her. But that's not enough for the necklace. The necklace wants more. ( The part of the song where it says "no matter how big your body is, this necklace remains small." means that, no matter how much attention you have, it wants more.) So the girl searches for love. And she decides to "confess" to someone she didn't love. The boy accepts but it's still not enough. The girl doesn't know what to do anymore, she goes crazy and starts to like when the necklace tightens. At the end, she dies suffocated.

That’s the general plot line and I love how people can adapt it to their own person experiences. For example, I related it right away to my former depression. No matter how many people loved me, I didn’t feel the love. I wanted to feel it though, so I searched everywhere. I wanted it more and more. If I hadn’t felt it, my “need for love” could of had choked me
