in my opinion, this song is about golden child syndrome. the necklace is figurative, too the child not getting enough attention (basically neglect) and the lyrics "screaming for more, your not enough" is figurative too the girl telling herself this because her parents dont love her, so she has too be better. this stuff is pretty common in real life. children dont get the attention they need too grow up healthy then get mental issues later in life.
@《Baka Berry》 it's where a child doesn't get enough attention from their parents so they need attention more than other kids but they don't usuallly get it

ok i know the meaning of the song but im gonna say what i think This child was ignored by her parents, and fell into a depressive state trying to be perfect. Behavior, school work, and more. referencing the line: “ I won’t lose to anyone in my class. “ The “ necklace “ is probably something that she’s holding onto. The line: “ This is happiness. “ is her ( trying to ) convince herself that she’s happy. thanks for reading, bye
i believe the necklace is metaphorical. her parents have her on a chokehold, their expectations keeping her on a leash throughout her life. so, maybe, the necklace represents her parents expectations.
@@mimichelly539 Me too, especially during the part where she says 'no matter how big your body grows the necklace still stays small' (paraphrasing), how when she grows no matter what her parents still control her in the form of expectation of perfection. The necklace is mentioned twice in the song but towards the end mention of it disappears, and instead you see two snakes in opposite directions wrapped around her neck tightly. I don't think the snakes are symbols of her parents, since that's the necklace. More like (this feels like a common cliché in songs of this genre) suicide(?) a noose maybe. She says sorry for the last chorus, maybe she was done feeling like a disappointment and just accepted her fate. Perhaps she did commit suicide which could explain 3:42 - 3:44 a flash of herself as a child (couldn't get a good look, but pretty sure the necklace wasn't present, showing a happier time in her life and that the necklace is indeed a metaphor.) like how your life supposedly flashes before your eyes when you die, another belief being the first and last memory or thought you have is the happiest memory and/or feeling you desired the most. She also says "Shiawase nano" "This is happiness" before screaming, shiawase being long term happiness, eternal peace (differing from ureshii which is more joy of the moment like OP described). In the end she lays there looking up, free from the necklace and the snakes and closes her eyes, for the last time(?). I know its long and almost definitely wrong but that's just my two cents on it. :P
Here’s a little info on the song: This song is *not* about a yandere, it’s about a girl with golden child syndrome. She basically wants to be loved by her own parents. This is the definition of golden child syndrome: The phenomenon suggests that true love should involve an agnosticism around a child's eventual level of worldly success. It should ideally not matter to the parent where a child ends up - or rather, it should matter only in so far as, and no further than, it matters to the child. Small edit: sorry if I may offended anyone in any way or something, please have a nice day everyone! Stay safe ^^
So, in conclusion, Golden Child Syndrome is something that the parents of the child have, not the child themself, but the syndrome in the parents negatively affects the child.
Analysis: Yes, this song is about golden child syndrome but it's not the only meaning behind it. By the lyrics you can tell that the girl was probably spoiled by its parents so it started believing that she's the best, the most important, and everyone thinks of her like her parents: perfect. At 2:25 it says "Behind the gymnasium, my confession to you. Doesn't it seem like a lie?" means that she probably started liking a kid from her class or school and she confessed her feelings. The "doesnt it seem like a lie?" part was probably her thinking that the kid thought that he's super lucky for the girl to confess to her due to her thinking that everyone adores and loves her just like her parents. So again, yes, this song is about the golden child syndrome and it focuses on the girls view where the "yandere" part comes in. Everyone can have their own view on a song but we don't know the true meaning behind this one. Everyone can have any feeling to a song and thats fine, but that doesn't mean that it's what the song is about. To the people who poop their pants talking about how people think it's a yandere song while it's actually a song about golden child synrome: It is about both, a girl being spoiled and thinking the world revolves around her, believing everyone loves her. Besides: The people "thinking that it's a yandere song" for their animations or something, they only used a part of the song that when is taken out of context it sounds like a yandere song. Just because they made it look like a yandere song doesn't mean they think that it is about one

Everyone talks about the starting bits but nobody points out the significance of the “gym confession” portion. The reason why it’s so important is that we’re seeing the golden child viewing her classmates as inferior due to this complex that she learned. She confessed to somebody, and through the learning of her parents that her top-of-class grades means she’s the best child of them all, and that she suffered to get there, her crush nor other peers deserve to say no to her, because SHE worked hard. SHE’S the good child. SHE’S pure. SHE wore the necklace and survived. Her peers did not, and she learned to hate them for it.
Why is no one talking about how talented Kikuo is? His tuning is impeccable, every instrumental he produces is layered and full of little details that you wouldn't notice on your first few listens, his lyrics flow so well and are catchy despite many viewers not knowing any Japanese. His tuning of Miku is so good that most people don't even know it's her, they just assume it's an actual singer. He is a god tier vocaloid producer and should be recognized as such. *Edit:* okay so this got a loooot of attention so I'm gonna clarify. When I said his tuning is so great, I didn't mean that it's very human-like or as realistic as other vocaloid producers. It's just really great in its own retrospect. Idk how to explain it properly but like if you're a vocaloid fan of course youre gonna know it's Miku, I never said it didn't sound like Miku, but a lot of people coming here from TikTok have never heard of vocaloid and so to them it sounds very realistic, and I think kikuo's tuning helps make that assumption. Honestly, I shouldn't have focused on that and just stayed focused on what I most love about kikuo's work which is his instrumentals and how well the music flows, but oh well I'm not rewriting the whole comment lol Also yes Kikuo is a guy. This is confirmed. Just letting people know cause some seemed to be confused when I referred to him as a guy.
If anybody is curious about the captions, here's a explanation: All the captions were made in a custom caption file first, and then loaded into youtube. The type of file used here is a .vtt file and its around 17,000 lines long. That's insane

“This song is about a girl who demands love and attention from other people as an effect of a cursed collar she wears. As she grows up, the collar's effect on her becomes stronger, making her end up feeling unsatisfied and continues to demand more love and attention from others, believing that the people whom she demands from are not enough. Another interpretation is that it is about a girl who wants love from her parents. Her parents want her to do well in school and do not give her the love she so desires. The collar she wears is a symbol of her parents' expectations. As she grows up and her body changes, the collar stays the same size just as what her parents want out of her doesn't change either.” Are you guys okay? This is a dark song, feel free to rant to me and I’ll try and reply to you. That’s the ACTUAL meaning to the song, and a pretty dark one. If you don’t want to rant that’s okay! The use of Aishite instead of Daisuki is perfect in my opinion. Aishite is rarely used in real life in japan. It is meant to show very intense love and usually used for things such as a proposal or wedding or if someone is about to die. Daisuki is a less serious (but still serious obviously because it means “I love you” which is a very serious thing to say I think) way to say I love you or I like you. Although it can also mean “I like you as a friend”. Aishite is more commonly used in media than in real life, but in the context of the song it also fits well I think. (If you don’t know what the song is about, it’s about golden child syndrome.) Thank you for coming to my TedTalk Edit: I was wrong. Some lovely people in the comments have explained my error. Please go read them. Have a nice day.
Actually, aishite in this context is "love me". It can't be interchanged with daisuki. You're thinking of "aishiteru" which is actually what is more commonly used between family members. My parents would never tell me daisuki but they will tell me they "aishite" me. Don't believe the articles you read about Japan :p it is a robotic society but not that stone cold.
@@pleaseturnonthelightimscar9629 it is the casual version, more translated to I really like you. Dai in this word means big or grand, and suki means "like"

When she said 'AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH' I felt that.
My take on this, as someone who relates: the first verse and chorus (0:00 - 1:40) is that this child was an 'excellent child' yes, we all know what that is and she gets praised for it. But also, her parents puts pressure on her to achieve more and more great achievements, maybe even by getting angry at her if she shows signs of 'failing'. Thus, growing up she became a people pleaser, getting good grades, behaving, and maintaining good looks. *"It Hurts, Hey!", "Undo the curse, okay?"* and the last line *"It can not be stopped, ahh!"* is her experiencing all the pressure and wanting to break free from it but as she grew much older she realizes being the 'excellent, perfect kid' is not just something you can abandon than easily. Now, the second part, (1:40 - 4:10) , is when she is now older, probably high school. *"It hurts now, it's not enough now. People aren't enough"* is that because once you grow older those praises people once give you start to lose meaning. You start to doubt them, think of them as lies or flattery in exchange of something or simply just empty words. But if that's so, if she don't care about the praises anymore, why does she still stay in her 'perfect' image? *"I won't lose to anyone in my class, aren't I a lovely good kid?"* By around this age, failure doesn't mean people hating you or your parents scolding you anymore (maybe still a bit of the parent scolding but...). It's about you hating yourself. When you were smaller they built you the ego as 'I am the best and perfect' that now when you fail, you hate yourself. *"More than that kid. More than any kid. Everyone come and look at me!"* Again, is the ego of being 'I am the best' . When you go to high school, you meet new people and new competition plus, not so many people knew of your past achievements so you go through that cycle of proving yourself again but this time your only motivation is shame and/or pride. The gym confession scene, shows the mindset of someone who grew as a gifted that is always wanting to be unique, exceptional and overall great. anything that seems common, simple or mediocre is not for them. I'm so happy to have something to relate to, but I also feel sad that I can relate to this.
I too relate to this theory on a certain extent. I was manipulated when I was younger, and I was such a people pleaser. I had the pressure on me to become better and better, so people could think of me as perfect.

As a sufferer of golden child syndrome, I cried listening to this song. I never really had the words to describe how lost and lonely and useless I felt until I found this song. It really sucks when you’re only liked for your skills/intelligence instead of who you are as a person. And as is kind of shown in the words, when you finally have someone that cares about you, it feels fake. You automatically assume they want something from you because everyone else did. So there is always this distance between the two of you, and even though they would “bear everything for (you)” you can’t really bring yourself to believe it until it’s too late.
I hope one day you will feel a lot better, and I may not know you, but I care for almost everyone, everyone deserves the right amount of love and attention and I'm sorry you go through that, I hope it all gets better.
For anybody who needs to hear this song, it’s not about a yandere. It’s about a young, traumatized girl who becomes selfish due to influences from her narcissistic, neglectful parents. When she can’t find the love and attention she craves from her parents, she begins to demand it from her peers. She herself, makes narcissistic claims about how superior she is, but she is just copying her parents behavior towards her and actually has little self esteem. At the end of the song she comes close to breaking through the denial that she isn’t being treated/treating others normally. But ultimately chooses to hold on to the that denial, even when everyone in her life that she loves/wants them to love her, begins to abandon her because of said behavior. That’s how I interpret it. (Edit: No, I don’t believe that it’s golden child syndrome since golden child syndrome is usually a result of unnecessary praise and gifting. It doesn’t imply in the song that she’s being spoiled or is actually given the attention that she claims that she wants. Furthermore, it sounds like she’s being neglected. Her need to put down her implied love interest to presumably make herself feel superior, tells me that she is insecure. That’s why I believe she does not actually have golden child syndrome and just has a false ego used as a defense mechanism for abuse.
@Levi Da blocker? No it's not like her, Ayano's parents loved her but this girl parents didn't the song basically about golden child something I forgot

and the lyrics "screaming for more, your not enough" is figurative too the girl telling herself this because her parents dont love her, so she has too be better. this stuff is pretty common in real life. children dont get the attention they need too grow up healthy then get mental issues later in life.

thank you for the lyrics, but why romanji and not just japanese characters?
ok i know the meaning of the song but im gonna say what i think
This child was ignored by her parents, and fell into a depressive state trying to be perfect. Behavior, school work, and more. referencing the line: “ I won’t lose to anyone in my class. “
The “ necklace “ is probably something that she’s holding onto.
@@P_Shii I- I didn't think of this thanks for sharing
Not really ignored, its more like golden child syndrome
Haha kinda like the situation with my family
I get emotional to this song for some reason ✌️😃
Here’s a little info on the song:
This song is *not* about a yandere,
it’s about a girl with golden child syndrome.
@@rinrxl yes, basically. It’s like “not giving attention” to their child

Analysis:
Yes, this song is about golden child syndrome but it's not the only meaning behind it.
Just because they made it look like a yandere song doesn't mean they think that it is about one
well said.

Honestly, I shouldn't have focused on that and just stayed focused on what I most love about kikuo's work which is his instrumentals and how well the music flows, but oh well I'm not rewriting the whole comment lol
Also yes Kikuo is a guy. This is confirmed. Just letting people know cause some seemed to be confused when I referred to him as a guy.

As she grows up and her body changes, the collar stays the same size just as what her parents want out of her doesn't change either.”

(If you don’t know what the song is about, it’s about golden child syndrome.)
Thank you for coming to my TedTalk
Edit: I was wrong. Some lovely people in the comments have explained my error. Please go read them. Have a nice day.
keda Thank you! Good luck.
Слава Україні thank you for this.

Far, far away in a time and a place
Lived a necklace winding astray
"It's people I need, oh people to feed,"
The choker accursed would frantically scream
Do not be angry, do not go away, be right here
And forever you'll stay
(Hey)
Wound tighter and tighter, threw up, nearly whiter
Nobody here, there's nobody at all
I'm doing so well, have you heard?
(You see, you see) I'm such a good girl
Cute as a button, you heard?
(You see, you see) So good, this girl
In pain, I scream you see?
Love me I say, love me I say, love me I say, more and more and
Love me I say, love me away
Until I'm not completely sane
Torturing me, torturing me
Let me be free, break from the curse hurting me
None of you can stop it now
Ahh…
Grow as you may, like a sweet summer day
Know this collar will stay just the same
"I'm hurting and bleed, I need more to feed,"
"Get people, more people," the choker would scream
I am the best in my class they attest
I'm a girl far above all the rest
(Yes)
Far better than those two, better than all you
People, oh people! Look only at me! Oh
Meeting alone in the yard
From me to you, confessing my heart
Was it a lie from the start?
To say I love you from afar
As filthy a creature you are!
Love me I say, love me I say, love me I say, take what you want of me
Taking from me, taking from me, all that I have and all that I keep
Screaming for more, you're not enough, screaming for more
I couldn't give you up ahh…
I am just so sorry
Love me I say, love me I say, love me I say, more and more and
Love me I say, love me away
Until I'm not completely sane
Torturing me, strangling me, torturing me
More and more, more and more, ahh!
Aren't I so happy today?
Ahh!
Aren't I so happy today?

In the far-off, distant past- there was once a coiling collar.
“I want people! I want people!” it cried, the cursed collar!
Don’t get angry, don’t abandon me, don’t go anywhere.
Hey.
It strangles me tightly, til I could throw up, whenever no one’s, no one’s around!

Love me!
So much that it’s maddening!
It’s painful, it hurts
Break, break this binding spell, it can’t be stopped
Ahhh!
No matter how big your body
Your body grows, this collar remains small...
It hurts now, it’s not enough now. People aren’t, people aren’t enough!
I won’t lose to anyone in my class
Aren’t I a lovely good kid?
Hey,
Not that kid, not any other kid; everyone,
come and look at me!
Doesnt my confession to you behind the gymnasium seem like a lie?
I like you, who are you so filthy?!
Love me, love me, love me,
I’ll give you everything...
I’ll have you, I’ll have you shoulder, everything for me.
It’s not enough, you’re not enough.
I won’t let go,
Aahhhhh!
I’m so sorry!
Love me, love me, love me

My take on this, as someone who relates:
the first verse and chorus (0:00 - 1:40) is that this child was an 'excellent child' yes, we all know what that is and she gets praised for it.

I thought some person sing it is it real?
You deserve a lot more than what you have suffered and one day god will give you the best out of everything
Thank you Al5vin and Raiyn Woods this is so kind and sweet of you guys. I really really appreciate it 😭🥰
🙏🏽💜✝️💜🙏🏽
🙏🏽💜✝️💜🙏🏽Godbless🙏🏽💜✝️💜🙏🏽
That is a really good explanation of whats going on. Thanks, because some people still dont seen to understand whats going on.
@Levi Da blocker? No it's not like her, Ayano's parents loved her but this girl parents didn't the song basically about golden child something I forgot
