Many years ago, I worked for a company called Storacar and I’ve been fortunate enough to drive several F40’s and they are total monsters and they’ve nearly caught me out several times. I can’t imagine what the LM is like. Great content and can’t wait to see you build one of these amazing beasts. 👍🏼
You lucky bastard....my dream car, fell in love with the F40 when it first came out....love ur content congratulations on getting to experience supercar royalty.
Some cool facts on this car, the digital dash has been custom made and is a replica of the original, because the original doesn’t register speed. The tyres are even wider than the standard f40 which are already crazy wide. The car has been detained to 700bhp so it doesn’t overheat on the roads and that car was driven to that event and every event it attends.
That was incredible!!!! Thank you SO much for letting us all be a part of that experience 👍🏻 I’m a solid follower. Can’t wait to go through your other videos. Cheers!
just gotta love how authentic scotts excitement is. And yeah Scott , just build a replica, I have some leads that might be able to help you, at least you'll be calmer driving it around knowing it doesn't cost millions.... u just cant enjoy a car when its that expensive.
My brother and I had a little race with an F40 on the Autoroute in France around 1990 when we were riding his zzr1100 to the Bol D’or at Paul Ricard. I was fully loaded on the pillion with a rucksack on my back. We hit an indicated 160mph alongside him when he looked up at us, gave a thumbs up and we both backed off. That thing could shift.
Well done Scott - delighted you got that experience !! The closest I got to an F40 LM was in Ferrari land Porteaventura and it was a fibreglass mock up !! The noise that car made was just beautiful !! Had to watch that video twice !!
The best hypercar ever made!! F40LM just perfect! There is a old video i think from 1995 or 1996 from a race , two F40LM without the BOP that "tied up" the car in competitions, destroying two F1 GTRs, the speed difference is absurd, the F1 GTR with about 680hp and just over 1000kg and the F40 LM on the map stronger around 920hp and just under 1000kg! What an absurd car!
Absolutely fabulous recording of a bucket list item being checked off. The driving wasn't spectacular, the back ground music was fantastic, the audio was hard to hear, FANTASTIC!!!
This is my second favorite car of all time, topped only by the GTO/E! It’s kind of hard to get a ride in a car that they only made five of unfortunately…
@@Ratarossa David Lee sold his! He said it was because it was a car that he couldn’t really drive around in and I understand that. But still, to own one of those? It’s the biggest unicorn of a car I’ve ever heard
I got to putt one of those up and down the paddock at Road Atlanta on late night to put fuel in it. 5MPH but still... Giddy... I prefer the 288 for it's looks though.
A very lucky boy ! I remember seeing my first F40 at the NEC back in 88 and it was stunning, i next saw an F40 at croft circuit along with an F50, they were both late entry's so they both should of been placed at the back but the F50 was placed at the front due to it being so new, the F40 was placed at the back fortunately, sadly the F50 crashed on the first corner, but after a restart the F40 flew through the pack as everything else were stood still.
Amazing to hear that. The F40 is a very special car indeed. I thought I might be a little disappointed with the power as I'm fortunate to have owned many modern Ferarri's but buy was I wrong the acceleration was savage and I'm so happy it lived up to or .... actually exceeded its reputation. Its like a drug though I really want to experience that again, but with me behind the wheel LOL
Scott, in a business setting I usually use the following to break the ice, before negotiations begin. I’ll tell my peers the following, “ladies and gents, I’m untouchable, you can’t buy me, there’s virtually no price you can offer to buy me…. UNLESS, you hand me a title of a Ferrari F40 with said car parked in my driveway, now we can talk 😁! For me I’m a car guy, I love all car BUT, the F40 is it, the holy grail, my most favorite of all cars! Go get one and build it, that will be as epic as all other content you’re creating!

Awesome to see how you can see the man’s ‘normal’ face change to a concentrated one as soon as he goes full throttle….. Awesome experience which, one day, I can experience too….. I once tried to get into a 308GT/M (#003) when I knew the owner, but he thought it was too risky…. 😢
WOW, that F40LM sounded incredible ! A bucket list for me for sure.... Looks hard to drive, even more fun ! Crap... man why was I not born into a rich family !
OMG Scott! The look on your face! Congrats on the first ride. Epic car for sure. When are you building one? Because we all know, a standard F40 won't do for Ratarossa.
Don’t get me wrong, much respect for the F40. Especially in full out LM trim (to be honest, it would be the only way I would want it 🙂) However, the one that’s my unicorn was the one that was parked next to it when you were filming. 🙂. 100% twin turbo .... won't be an original engine as I think there is plenty of scope to improve what Ferrari did. But it will 10% be a Ferrari engine used
Hey Scott I just watched Dennis Collins’ video where he bought a race De Tomaso Pantera that’s supposed to be the fastest in the world and would apparently blow the Ferrari F40LM in to the weeds. What the hell would that be like because the LM looked super savage and got your attention as a seasoned Ferrari aficionado!
Amazing! What a car! And what a video too; it was wonderful to watch! Many, many congratulations on ticking off such a rare bucket list item. I'm green with envy, but also very happy for you :-)
