    My neighbor work for the church's correlation department. I swear he has the scriptures memorized and is the most amazing human I have ever met. He definitely knows his stuff. I can attest that the correlation committee is very inspired, but they are also very careful in what they allow out for mass consumption. There are many truths that do not make it through, simply because the general population of the church is not ready to receive them. Personal revelation is so important!!!

    Thanks, Jared. I think people generally forget that the lands of the earth used to be one land mass. It was after the flood in Noah's time that the land mass started to break up and move. I too have "Daily Joy" by Russell M Nelson and it contains beautiful doctrine, Scripture and counsel, from the prophet of the Lord, for everyday. We must watch and be ready. @@kheoriexactly. Old Jerusalem will be the religious capital for Christ's church. But with temples worldwide the process of teaching and attracting new members will also be worldwide. Christ's doctrine will come from Jerusalem, and the Government of Christ will be implemented and overseen in the 24 'Temple ' office buildings built for just this. Just like we have a church organization and a government now, it will be the same then. The only difference is the government will be run by righteous leaders.

    * the New Jerusalem will be in Jackson County Missouri: scriptures do say that.
    Some things...
    * Zion includes the New Jerusalem, and every other Stake of Zion. New Jerusalem is the chief stone, but not the only gemstone.
    * The scriptures do not say that the New Jerusalem will be the first part of Zion that will be brought forth.
    * City of Enoch will come down from heaven in "the later time", and we know they were in the Supernatural Order of Zion.

      @lindamartinez7006 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s different then what other Christian think . Others think a rapture comes and for seven years while they are raptured up
      People will
      Stay on the earth and go through tribulations for seven years . We do not believe that . After seven years they come back with Jesus . This is not taught anywhere . Where did they go for those seven years while others stay in the earth with tribulations ? This is ridiculous . We believe we will be caught up while the others go to spirit prison . Then we come back for the millennium. We do not believe in a seven year tribulation or rapture that is a made up word . Though being caught up with the Lord is similar it is not the same belief of their kind of rapture .

    D&C 101
    Of additional significance is the statement about there not being room for them. Is all of north America Zion and will it be filled? Will this be just from gathering scattered Israel ? What about the city of Enoch, the people of Melchizedek and of course the lost ten tribes. How many people are we talking about? There are also the 144,000 and their families. • @ChristianHomesteader
      @ChristianHomesteader  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Graham Doxey, "Missouri Myths," Ensign, April, 1979.
      Myth #3: But won’t there be immense destructions in Missouri preceding the Second Coming, so extensive that “not a yellow dog will be left to wag his tail”? It’s true that destruction throughout the earth is one of the conditions prior to the Second Coming. Yet as far as destruction in Missouri is concerned there are two schools of thought among members. One believes that it has already taken place. Elder B. H. Roberts published a reported prophecy of Joseph Smith to Alexander Doniphan, his lawyer in Missouri. According to Doniphan’s brother-in-law, writing the incident over seventy years after it occurred, Joseph Smith warned Doniphan that “‘God’s wrath hangs over Jackson County … and you will live to see the day when it will be visited by fire and sword. The fields and farms and houses will be destroyed, and only the chimneys will be left to mark the desolation.’ “General Doniphan said to me,” his brother-in-law continued, “that the devastation of Jackson county [during the Civil War] forcibly reminded him of this remarkable prediction.” Elder Roberts cites additional descriptions of Jackson County’s role during the Civil War as fulfillment of this prophecy. (See Comprehensive History of the Church, 1:538-59; italics added.) The other school of thought on the so-called “yellow dog” prophecy is that some members feel it is yet to occur. However, a study of the supposed source of the prophecy is helpful. It seems to have originated in a conversation between Heber C. Kimball and Amanda H. Wilcox in Salt Lake City in May 1868. She reports him as saying, “The western boundries of the State of Missouri will be swept so clean of its inhabitants that, as President Young tells us, when we return to that place, ‘There will not be left so much as a yellow dog to wag his tail.’” (Prophetic Sayings of Heber C. Kimball to Sister Amanda H. Wilcox, n.p., n.d., p. 6.) There seem to be a number of questions about the authenticity of this account since Heber C. Kimball was apparently in Provo, not Salt Lake, during the month of May. Also, no other record exists of Brigham Young making a similar statement. However, it is sufficiently similar to Joseph Smith’s statements, except for the “yellow dog,” that someone may have remembered the original substance but in the retelling allowed embellishment to creep in.
      _____________________________________________________________
      Brigham Young
      President of the Church
      When Joseph first revealed the land where the Saints should gather, a woman in Canada asked if we thought that Jackson County would be large enough to gather all the people that would want to go to Zion. I will answer the question really as it is. Zion will extend, eventually, all over this earth. There will be no nook or corner upon the earth but what will be in Zion. It will all be Zion. I remember that the lady was answered by asking her whether she thought the ark was large enough to hold those that were to go into it in the days of Noah? “Yes,” was the reply. Then of course Zion will be just large enough to receive all that will be prepared to possess it, as the ark was.
      Brigham Young, in Journal of Discourses, 9:138a.

    I feel that by saying it's a ridiculous idea that there is one person as THE antichrist, you have violated your own caution of teaching as truth your opinion. Perhaps the Church hasn't had overt teachings of late but it is in the Bible Dictionary, "Antichrist - A word used by John to describe one who would assume the guise of Christ but in reality would be opposed to Christ (1 Jn. 2:18-22; 4:3-6; 2 Jn. 1:7). In a broader sense it is anyone or anything that counterfeits the true gospel or plan of salvation and that openly or secretly is set up in opposition to Christ. The great antichrist is Lucifer, but he has many assistants both as spirit beings and as mortals." We have scriptural precedents on individuals being antichrists. I will state as my opinion that there is one single man who will claim to be Christ, enter our temples to defile them & claim to be Christ/God as prophesied in Esdras. When speaking of the apocryphal writings, some used to be in the early saints Bible. They weren't removed until 1880. Under "Apocrypha" in the Bible Dictionary, it says that the 1st & 2nd Esdras are of value. In those books, it makes it explicitly clear that there is a single male person who will be in league with Satan as the final antichrist. I believe there is plenty of evidence, scripturally, to show this as truth.

    At 28:50 you mention the Church Correlation Committee. They generally do a good job keeping church publications doctrinally sound. However, I can see 2 big problems.
    1. The 2020 and 2024 Book of Mormon Come Follow Me manuals contain a lot of bogus artworks. About 1/3 of the artwork in both the 2020 and 2024 manuals promotes the Mesoamerican model of Book of Mormon Geography. However, the church claims to be neutral on geography. Unfortunately for the past 70+ years, the Mesoamerican model has dominated the narrative. Ther are over 250 models of geography, but the only one that makes sense with mountains of evidence is ancient America, not Mesoamerica. I don’t blame the artists. They were taught wrong.
    In 2012, Elder L. Tom Perry said, “The United States is the promised land foretold in the Book of Mormon.” Sadly these 2 manuals teach the false seer stone in a hat translation method. Joseph and Oliver were the most involved in the translation and they always said it was done using the Urim and Thummim. Prior to 2005 when Bushman published Rough Stone Rolling, all of the church lesson manuals and magazines taught and depicted the Urim and Thummim. After 2005, the church manuals and magazines switched to the false seer stone in a hat nonsense. Scholars and artists have been deceived by Satanic lies. As an example, look at the artwork of Anthony Sweat’s seer stone in a hat.
    2. Saints Vol 1, The Standard of Truth was published in 2018. Unfortunately, the 700-page book covering a period from 1815-1846 contains numerous deceptions which proves that scholars are hijacking church history. I believe it was deliberately done to promote the Mesoamerican model. The 4th volume will be published later this year. Here is a short list of some of the most egregious deceptions in Vol 1. I have pages and pages of details.
    • The word Cumorah is not found except for a few references that the censors missed. Cumorah is found on a map prior to page 3 and some stray references in Notes and Sources Cited which few people read.
    • Oliver Cowdery’s Mission to the Lamanites (D&C 28, 30, and 32) is incorrectly called a mission to the west. These 4 missionaries taught Lamanites in New York, Ohio, and the Delaware Tribe west of Missouri. Did God know where the Lamanites were living in 1830? Absolutely! The Gospel didn’t go to Guatemala until 1947!
    • Brother Nephi shows plates to Mary Whitmer, not Moroni.
    • Cement and stone box (per JSH) was the repository of the plates. Saints just calls it a stone box because scholars think cement was not used by the savages of ancient America.
    • Urim and Thummim not a seer stone was used for the translation.
    • The June 4, 1834, letter from Joseph Smith to Emma about the plains of the Nephites is amazing. Since this letter was cited 3 times in Saints Vol 1 (p 200), why was Joseph Smith's most powerful testimony of the Book of Mormon censored? The scholars know their pet theory about Mesoamerica would be destroyed because the plains of the Nephites were located in Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois. In the letter to Emma, Joseph said,
    "…wandering over the plains of the Nephites [Ohio, Indiana and Illinois], recounting occasionaly [sic] the history of the Book of Mormon, roving over the mounds of that once beloved people of the Lord, picking up their skulls & their bones, as a proof of its divine authenticity.” For a church that believes so strongly in the Book of Mormon, why would anyone want to censor Joseph's testimony of the Book of Mormon and the account of Zelph?
    • The most prized document in our church history is the Wentworth Letter. It contains our 13 Articles of Faith. It was published in 1842 and a perfect fit for Vol 1 (1814-1846). The scheming scholars extract quotes from the letter as found in the subtitles of the 4 volumes and in an epigraph at the beginning of each volume, but they never say Wentworth Letter. Why censor the 13 Articles of Faith that are found in the letter?

      Excellent. The MesoAmerica myth is entirely impossible and obviously deceptive.i cherish the Book of Mormon, but I will not associate with TV watchers and lovers of movies, sports, rock and roll, who love the world and have no understanding of this world and its satanic culture.

    Other than the temple, Salt Lake City is one of the dirtiest and ugliest city’s I’ve ever been in. If it’s the new Jerusalem I’ll be disappointed. Why do some members seek to change the scriptures?

      😂😂😂 It's true. Without temple square, the city is kind of a dump. They are trying to make it better. Still a lot of old areas though.

      Anything that promotes covetousness and vengeful ideologies that speak to tear down in the name of promoting “antiracism” or racism in favor of minorities as diversity, forcing equity instead of personal accountability, and intolerance of God’s law in the name of inclusion, is Anti-Christ.

      THE antichrist is Satan. Other people can also be antichrist too, as shown in the Book of Mormon.
