Pond still just about holding 12°C though it dipped down to 11°C when we had that cold snap. The fish are active and hungry, always asking for food everytime I walk past the window 😄
Thanks, Lau, 🙂 There are one or two mutts in there, though 😄 The one and only ginrin chag I bought last year. Going to be the biggest in the pond the way she's going 👌
@@DavesKoiPond I need to watch your video again as I didn't see the chag Well I think we all have the odd one or two that is not up to the standard... And it's fine 😁 in my views anyway 🙂
@@DavesKoiPond yep, saw her now. Don't know how I missed it 🤣 it's strange because I am never a fan of hi utsuri but yours is just really standing out.
@@LauMagroTheFrenchKOInection Thanks, 🙂 She was first pick out of 20 odd hi utsuri's at the queni event last year..not the biggest, but I loved the clean lines... ...as some can look a bit jackson pollock with sumi speckles everywhere 😂
@DavesKoiPond I've not had covers on this year first time ever I've gone without them and the fish have been absolutely fine even when it went down to -1c
@@keepingitkoi though I prefer my pond to be around 10C+ over winter, I'm fine with ponds being left open in winter, but -1C for water temp would worry me mate 😮 hopefully your pond temp will pick up soon 👍
Cheers Marek, 👍 The Doitsu sanke is a very active fish, and I like the large amount of beni. the other sanke is my pond mutt lol 😄 he hasn't grown much, and lost all but a tiny little patch of beni...
What an amazing collection 😍🙏
Thanks,🙂
Beautiful collection Dave looking stunning and the water , looks mint!!
Cheers Mark, 👍
They seem to be doing better this winter.
The water has improved after going back to recycle R.O. After a stint doing mains water R.O.
Tremendous as always.
Thanks mate 👍
Winter is a long season here... as I imagine it is on your side of the pond too🙂
stunning fish mate
Thanks very much, 🙂
Absolutely beautiful Dave. Such a beautiful collection. They all complement each other.
Didn't you have a Chagoi before?
Thanks, Lau, 🙂

she's nearly always front and centre looking for first dibs on food...😄

I'm sure it will be when the weather improves 💪
I can't wait for the warmer weather too...get the covers off and see the fish properly...😎

@DavesKoiPond it's been creeping up about 1c a day and back up to 5c now let's hope that's the last cold snap we have 🤞🤞
@@keepingitkoi Yes mate,
peak daytime temp here is 9C, soon be warm enough to take the covers off for a few hours 🤞
Water and fish looking stunning Dave, not normally a Sanke fan, but that one looks amazing. 👍
