    This video will show how to disassemble and clean the front or back valve blocks on a range rover sport or LR3. The valve block solenoids can easily become stuck in the open or closed position as desiccant dust migrates through the compressed air system from the compressor. This fine powder coats and prevents sealing of the solenoids. Cleaning the dust off of the contact surfaces and O-rings can rejuvenate the valve block for use.

    Hey! All your RRS videos are super💪🏼 really helpfull! My RRS 2010 has a problem with the suspension won’t lower. When I try to lower it, it jumps up to offroad mode. The ride feel kinda “bumpy” and the ride height looks off. It does not sag over time. Any helpful advice? Thanks!

    I have a RRS 2005 which is now at the lowest suspension level - it does not rise up
    I discovered that the compressor relay is not working - the compressor works if I bridge the wiring
    Any thoughts on what i should do? Thanks Philip

      You can purchase new o-rings (in description) or use silicone spray and rub down the o-rings to make them appear like new. Or just buy new valve blocks altogether 🌚. I'll be sure to show all relevant steps in the next video.

    I am getting ready to replace the front and rear valve blocks vs refurbishing them on 2008 Range Rover HSE.
    Hazy - Do you know if front and rear valve blocks are the same when searching for the aftermarket $50ish replacements? Front and rear same on your vehicle?

    • @HazyJay
      @HazyJay  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mechanically they are identical, I would recommend not refurbishing the valve blocks since I've heard some people having problems after a refurbish that resolved with replacing the part, it's just too hard to know if the rubber is sealing on the solenoids.

    Hazy, when I park and shut off my 08 RRS, the auto level system always drops the rear driver wheel more than the rear passenger. I know the shock is not leaking because I literally watch the system actuate and let air out of it. My car also does not sag overnight. Do you think my rear valve block has a blockage? Or is it maybe a software problem? It also will often not pump the shock back up when driving again. Thanks

    • @HazyJay
      @HazyJay  ปีที่แล้ว

      Check the 4x4 info on the dash. If the wheel appears level on the screen but it's NOT in real life, your height sensor needs replacing or calibrating. If it's unlevel on the screen AND in real life, then you a new valve block on the rear sounds like a reasonable first step.

    • @HazyJay
      @HazyJay  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The solenoids might have different windings or voltages even though they look identical, try to purchase the correct one for the front or back because of this!

    My 2007 RR Sport goes all the way up when I start it and stays there. I can’t get it to come down. Is it a bad sensor or is it one of the blocks?

    • @HazyJay
      @HazyJay  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can check the 4x4 info screen in the dash, if it shows that all wheels are extended then the height sensors are working. If it shows that they are all normal height, but are extended in real life, then they are faulty. Inability to vent ALL wheels is likely due to a faulty exhaust valve on the compressor, if it's just the front or just the back then it could be the front or back valve block.

    can the electromagnet that pulls the solenoid go bad and cause them not to function?

    • @HazyJay
      @HazyJay  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The electromagnet itself will likely not go bad, but the seals can be clogged with desiccant making the solenoid non-functional

    • @HazyJay
      @HazyJay  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can try resetting the rear window by holding the switch up for about 3 minutes, then turning the car off and on again and see. Otherwise it may be a short circuit or frayed wire, these are harder to find.

    Hi, i have strange fault U0434-86. And "wehicle leans when cornering". I replaced fron right shock absorber. But it happened later. And it progressed. At first it was once a week, later once a day, now it comes after startin vehicle. Lr320. Its the only fault code in suspension. Steering angle sensor when steering wheel is in normal position shows 0. But after changing shock rear right one stays very high. What would you suggest?

    • @HazyJay
      @HazyJay  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You'll need a diagnostic that can pull which modules triggered the code (dealer probably) to diagnose exactly what is triggering this, since it can be multiple. It CAN be the suspension solenoid (front/rear), so if you want to try to replace these ($50 each) that can be an option.
