    If you'd like to add struts to this case to have it stay open on it's own, check out my latest video! Only $30! th-cam.com/video/lcrNv-hG6jo/w-d-xo.html

    Nice install! Quick tip to try in the future. Slide your t bolts in on the rack wherever you want them first, put a dot of paint or nail polish on the tip of each bolt facing upwards and lightly set the cargo box on them. It’ll mark perfectly where you need to drill your four holes, a lot quicker than measuring everything.

    I ended up doing this as well! GREAT IDEA! Thanks so much. I used rivet gun; great way to do it.

    Nice vid sir. I installed 2 of these on my Rubicon. Couldn't be happier. I can't commit to drilling into my hardtop because I have a trailer with rtt , but more storage is always better. Have these mounted to cross bars. Looking forward to showing them off in Daytona next Sat at Jeep Beach. Stay tuned .... Again .. nice job on the install

    Probably should have put fender washers on top of the rubber washers additionally if the rubber washers were 3/16 holes that would naturally form a seal on the bolts when you tighten them up. Thanks for posting this video it’s given me some ideas for my next project. Best regards K.

    I really like this idea. I personally will use wing nuts or drill a hole in the top of the bolt and use anti-walk pins as a quick release. Just my preference

    I was going to get that Apache case but changed my mind due to it's weight of around 25 lbs. I opted to go with the pelican V700 even thought it's $170 it weighs less at around 17 lbs only.

      @javileeYT  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's also a bit smaller but it looks a lot better. I bet it's higher quality, I'd trust Pelican QC over harbor freight xD

    • @GoXplr
      @GoXplr ปีที่แล้ว

      @@javileeYT A lot smaller ... and quality is the same. Your paying for the Pelican name .... thats all

      @@GoXplrI have the V700 too I find the plastic soft compared to the Apache which is harder plastic. It rained yesterday and I looked inside there is water. The Apache is IP65 rated so it has better water resistance I might replace the V700 with it

    Can you share a link to your roof rack components? Super cool vid btw

    A tape measure would simplify your hole locations (and more accurate)!

    I have a roofrack on order. I want a roof top container that has the ratchet strap inside so nobody can steal it.

    Curious what locks you picked for these, and do you have a link for the bolts?

      I'm currently using some outdoor combo locks from a previous project but i need to find something better. These are the bolts I'm using :)

    Great video, thanks! What are the amber lights you have on the rack side rail?

    • @javileeYT
      @javileeYT  ปีที่แล้ว

      Those are some 12v Awning lights normally meant for RVs that I put on because they're angled and kinda aerodynamic.

    Great job on the install, Looks sick. What rack was that since it looks like a prinsu, but you said it only cost you a couple hundred? Can you send a link or name I can find that?

      It's actually custom made, I'll be making a video of it soon as an overview to give people some advice on how to make it.
