    The "butthole" on Whismur, Loudred, and Exploud isn't a butthole. It's a bass reflex, the hole on a speaker designed to let air out so the thing can work at low frequencies. Whismur, Loudred, and Exploud are all based on speakers. As for Bonsly, it's a potted plant. Clay pots will usually have a hole in the bottom so excess water doesn't build up and drown the plant.

    • @poyopotpie
      @poyopotpie ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Topdoggie7 I agree, but really...the more obvious point is that Poliwag's mouth looks...like a mouth, lol. He said he mistook it for a nose I guess when the mouth was closed, but why would his "nose" have a straight line through it? And several animations in game and in the anime made it clear it was its mouth.
      I would not have been surprised if he mentioned Poliwhirl/Poliwrath because the anime makes that confusing vs what you would expect to be the mouth given their designs do not have the mouth that Poliwag has.

    • @Topdoggie7
      @Topdoggie7 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@poyopotpie I believe the manga has Poliwhirl literally eat something by spitting out the spiral and then pulling it back in. Or it has saw like teeth in this world I don't remember. I know that the gut statement really doesn't work because of how thin it is so I always try to give it a little bit of leeway because it's quite weird.
      My main complaint is tadpoles are some of the most common things that children come in contact with and a lot of people grew up seeing tadpoles even in schools and on charts so it is extremely easy to see a tadpole and see it's a little mouth and realize oh that's a tadpole mouth.

    To me Sneasle and Sneaseler look like they have 2 ears, one is just more, let’s say “eccentric” than the other. It seems to me like it may have been a way to make these Pokémon look a little more stylish and less plain.

    • @TriforceChad
      @TriforceChad ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I think the inspiration may come from the idea of aggressive weasels losing an ear in a fight with other weasels. They replace the lost ear with a feather, evoking the image of a great planes Indian brave. It's a weird combo, but it works. Weavile is even wearing a war bonnet

      Sneasel* Sneasler*

    • @Topdoggie7
      @Topdoggie7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's because they're not actually weasels they're kamatachis and kametachis don't always have ears often they have a single blade coming off of where one ear is and an ear on the other side. Kamatachis also have blades on their feet and usually on their tail. Now if we're to break down this design Itachi always has four sickles at most. This Pokemon has three on its tail and one on its head that's four. This Pokemon is accomatachi it's just a simplified version of the design.

    • @TriforceChad
      @TriforceChad ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Topdoggie7 since the kamaitachi is depicted as a weasel, calling sneasel one is the most direct way to describe it without needing to explain the whole yokai angle.
      As to the one ear thing, I have never seen a one eared kamaitachi depicted in any media other than sneasel here. Googling it doesn't produce any description of one ear either. I don't doubt that interpretation could exist, but I wouldn't say they "often" have a missing ear

Most of these "facts" were either speculations or disagreements like with Mantine's pronunciation and none were weird at all really. People use certain animal poop for high class coffee and Bonsweet being very similar to a cherry makes it easy to consider the sweat fruit juice. Or you could look at it like cow milk. I'm sure that there are at least some other products that origin in something similar disgusting to Pokemon sweat that we consume regularly without knowing.
    Furries rejoice for Pokemon and Humans having kids together.
    Seriously though, I'd rather have kids with one (or a couple of) Digimon because they have a more human appearance than Pokemon but Game Freak and the Pokemon Company seem to have an unhealthy obsession with bipedal evolution's for Pokemon. Maybe there are more Furries amongst the developer team than we know.

  • @BreathingBlack
    @BreathingBlack ปีที่แล้ว +24

    I'd argue it would be almost impossible to have kids with pokemon. Maybe with the extremely human like ones possibly. However, just like in real life, I highly doubt humans and pokemon are compatible dna wise to be able to reproduce. That may also be another reason they didn't mention that part in the froslass quest, because it simply isn't possible. Humans and animals can't produce offspring so pokemon and humans shouldn't either. EDIT: I rescind my skepticism bc I forgot whales and cats can breed in this game. One ethically problematic thing that is not talked about is eating pokemon as food, be it Farfetch'd, Slowpoke, Basculin or Barraskewda that is cooked on a plate. Pokemons' intelligence and consciousness is almost at human level and they behave very anthropomorphically, which makes their use as a human food source a big question.

    No cause for Panic; It's just a tail-nub with a hole in it. Proof being that Exploud has a pair of holes at the rear
    --one for each tail, once the final stage of evolution is complete. That's just part of the gimmick as they need holes to channel the air and soundwaves in and out of them.

    During the segment about humans having babies with pokemon, I couldn't help but think back on the pokemon heroes movie with Latios and Latias, and how Latias straight up kissed Ash on the mouth at the end of the film, if i'm remembering correctly. Like to be honest, that and the idea of pokemon and humans getting married doesn't bother me despite kinda being beastiality. and this is for 3 reasons. One we're talking about a fictional world full of FICTIONAL creatures, and Two of the lore aspect of how humans used to be considered the same as pokemon, and vise versa. like thats the entire reason why we have the lore of humans marrying pokemon. And reason three is that if pokemon are intellegent enough to consent to fighting other pokemon, are intellegent enough to fully understand anything and everything their trainer says to them, etc. then they are intellegent enought to consent to a more romantic/intamite relationship with a human

    The Sneasel/Sneasler fact doesn't surprise me that much. Even though they're weasels, they're also partially based off of cats (their cries even sound cat-like) and cats often lose portions of their ears when they get in fights. I know this by experience due to having had an outdoor cat who lost the tip of her ear.

    Well, I'm actually glad for getting to know the ones I've never known before, except for one. There are so much weird information out there about the world of Pokémon that I get positively surprised to a great amount of them.
    Sneasels' and sneaslers' ears? I don't feel uncomfortable about them, let them have longer left ears. Boun-sweat juice? Sounds better to get a sip of it than to drink coffee made with pooped grains like in real life. Visible "pookéholes"? Great, like an average animal! "Man-T-ne"? AWESOME! IT SOUNDS LIKE HOW WE PRONOUNCE IT HERE IN BRAZIL! Poliwag's stomach? It reminds me of the _Hyalinobatrachium uranoscopum_ species, whose translucent skin makes its inner organs visible. Besides, your point of view about poliwags is, um... pretty distinct.
    The "poképhilia"/"835714L17Y" stuff is actually gross, but I do not regret for knowing it, because it's a problem our own world has. It's interesting how far some things in Pokémon go or went.

    I’ve read that the swirl pattern on the Poliwag line is supposed to represent the fact that tadpoles are transparent and the black swirl is their intestines.
    Similarly, I also read that the dot on Torchic’s butt is not its butthole but a mark that farmers would make on the butt of male chickens to tell them apart since you couldn’t tell until adulthood (which is why it doesn’t appear on the females)

    For Sneasle and Sneaseler, they have a bit of a fearl cat vibe going on and sometimes, when they get spayed or nurtured, they sometimes clip the right ear, to know they have been fixed. Or in other cases when cats attack each other for food, territory or whatever they do, they lose ears. So maybe the feather is a replacement. Or i'm thinking way to much about this lol
