Well, I noticed that all the starters are based on animals that are hunted or captured for sports/entertainment, and there does seem to be some in environmental themes in the as well

Grass/Bug is the coolest type but just too many weaknesses. He needs a busted ability like "Honey Coat" - Moves usually affective against Grass are halved. So basically only has Bug weaknesses
The grass type bear you created is very unique among the other bear mon I’ve seen. Very eye-catching and complimentary colors. Love the paws
All of the designs are incredible but I love cervlase , it's incredibly cute and basing it around wildfires is pretty creative
Very loosely could be the bear for pestilence, deer for wrath or war, and whale for death and an electric starter could come in later to represent conquest
All great mons! I would say for the orca, it’s got a case of just becoming a bigger version of itself, so it’d be cool to see something else incorporated in its design that could tie back to WA or the west coast in general. I’m excited to see where the project goes!
One pattern I noticed is that the first two starters are combinations of things that are naturally opposed (bears + bees and deer + forest fires.) It doesn't work as well for Bakuji's line, but you could tie in something like whaling if you wanted to lean into it. For example, maybe Cefalen are aggressive towards each other and gain power by absorbing spirits from defeated rivals.

These are really cool! And as for the theme, I’d say the theme of each starter representing a state works on its own! It’s a more broad theme sure, but I think it makes perfect sense!

Choosing Infernelk! Don't think Pokémon starters shouldn't add bug secondary for grass because it's a worst type combination.

I love these starters, most fakemon starters always have one significantly better than the rest but all of your are really good with not a single bad one
when i saw the grass starter, i thought it looked like it was headed for Bug Typing, but figured that wasn't he case....then you made it a Bug Type, hooray, a bear can be a bee, or have a special ability like Steelworker, except for Bug Attacks
i imagine it could get a unique attack like Buzz Off, a Bug attack that after damage, sends the opponent off the field, or Golden Net, an attack that prevents a pokemon from being recalled, and prevents it from using items or eating /using berries, cause it glues the mouth close and makes the hands,etc sticky (so it can't use Fling either)
Amazing starters, I would choose Grumbee but because of the type id pick Bakuji. Anyways all the starters are designed well. Good job

I think Skeledugre is meant to represent the snake of the Zodiac because I used to watch a show called " Gator Boys" that delt with nuisance alligators in Florida and Mississippi and saw how alligators swin: they only use their tails like snakes.
I would definitely go with Bakuji. First time hearing about you so I don't know what the ongoing lore is for this region. My thought that ties the trio together was Tourism/historical disaster. Ghosts from the past, fire an ever present danger... A future of rebalance, iirc Cali is really aiming for better green energy and going through many struggles in the process.
for the fire deer, i can see a new move Stomping Ignition, a Fire move that creates the new "Fiery Terrain", a terrain move that boosts fire moves, destroys the other terrains and prevents them from being used until destroyed (Ice Spinner, Steel Roller or Rain Dance) or times out
for the water starter, a move called Fog Horn, (i wanted to call it Haunted Tide, but you beat me to it), a Water Attack that also creates "Foggy Terrain", a water terrain that boosts all sound attacks (sound travels better in water) and acts as a built in Mist or Haze
These are all fun designs! I like how our water staters are similar but so different. Love the bear for California!

They're based on mythical creatures.
A Bug Bear. (Grass type)
A Hiisi. (Fire type)
A Bake-kujira. (Water type)
Grumbee has pretty good design along with it's evolution line and probably my favorite starter of your fakemon region
Cervlaze and its line are really cool
And bakuji is really freaking cute and its evolution line are really good and my second favorite starter of your fakemon region. I also found your channel just now and I'm excited to see the rest of your fakemon region 😊

Interesting designs. I wonder what more you will give us, although i feel like a California Sea Lion Pokemon is a given.
I like the bear the best too and think bug typing is true to the character, it shouldn’t matter if it’s good (or they should adjust the type chart because it’s silly to have types be so unbalanced.
Also, is wild fire a physical move or is it like Lava Plume with less chance to burn?

I gave eiscue an evo for your suggestion: introducing; blizzcue, an ice/sound type. I saw the penguins on google and my mind went to a fusion between toxtricity and eiscue so i went for it.
Oh, my are based around Oklahoma, Texas,New Mexico,and lusiana, and my region is called westerna
As someone who lives in Cali and doing my own region, Pacifia, it’s great to see more regions based off the area. Maybe it’s just pride in where I live or the fact it’s actually a great place with lots of biodiversity and culture that is often overlooked, I just get so excited to see more regions based my home and its neighboring states.
Omg my region is based on the Mississippi River valley and southeast. Including Louisiana, Arkansas and a small portion of Oklahoma and Missouri, Mississippi and Alabama combined, Georgia and South Carolina combined and turned into islands, and North Carolina and Tennessee combined for their mountains with a bit of Kentucky for the Ohio river

This might sounds really offensive but i used to think that Floralbosca was Grass/Fairy.And don’t get me wrong,I absolutely love this line and this is my starter choice,I also followed cadia region on instagram.This line final stage and type is very unique and special,and it just might be the fact I really love Ghost-Dark-Fairy type trio,but seeing this guy weak to a lot of types is very sad.However,it is just my opinion and I’m still really hope to see more about Cadia Region❤
