Pokémon Masters has been doing a big job of expanding on characters in the games that didn't get a lot of time to shine in the games. Most notably in this video is the case of Agatha and Oak. In Masters they explain in depth what happened to them: Agatha was a lonely girl who wanted to be left alone. Oak would always try to comfort her, so she would battle him to get him to leave her alone. However Oak was a very strong trainer and would always win. Eventually after battling enough, Agatha started to enjoy it, seeing him as her true rival and forming a bond with him. However Oak took an interest in research instead of battling, and one day stopped wanting to battle her altogether. Agatha felt like she'd been robbed of a core part of her Pokémon adventure, her beloved rival. So she kept battling, eventually becoming strong enough to battling amongst the E4, and he stuck to research. It's left open as to if she had any deeper romantic feelings, but it's clear they were close as kids and she resents him for not staying with her as her battle partner.

One day, Pryce's two Lapras were killed in an accident, which made Pryce depressed and distance himself from others. His friends, including Agatha, composed a song to cheer him up. Agatha observed Professor Oak's battle at the Pokémon Championship, congratulating him on his victory afterwards. Oak walked over to her, as Agatha asked him why did he quit the research team. He revealed that the research team was merely conducting experiments to make the Pokémon do their bidding, prompting Agatha to release her Gastly and Gengar. In response, Oak released his Kangaskhan and Chansey, as the two begin to fight. Whilst Gengar and Kangaskhan grappled, Agatha asks what would he accomplish by himself, to which Oak revealed that his dream was to create a Pokémon Encyclopedia. Agatha refuted the idea, stating that he would not live to see the completion of such a project. Oak agreed, explaining to Agatha that it would be a job then for his descendants to complete. As Oak left her presence, Agatha called out to him. Later, Agatha won the right to fight against Oak in the Pokémon Championship, and after an 8-hour long battle, Professor Oak was declared the victor.
The SS Anne is a cruise ship. The SS Aqua is a ferry. They are two very different kinds of ship. The fact that a port is being used by a ferry _does not imply_ that a cruise ship sank somewhere.

I was actually going to suggest that perhaps the SS Anne DID get stuck somewhere because in Red/Blue/Yellow in order to get Mew as part of an event, in game, the SS Anne would have to take you away to an Island to get him. I could be remembering things wrong, but I'm certain you had to take a boat to an island where Mew resided.
SeraphimDragon I think the first time we could get a mew in an in game location was Pokemon emerald also may be the only place besides the gen 1 glitch mew. Which I count me personally not for any good reason. Back to the point I was trying to make. In Pokemon emerald you could get an event item called the old sea map I think. It's a map that lets the captain of the boat could get to the island which has mew, and it's said to be the exact mew that was used to make the gen 1 mewtwo it's said in a faded sign basically. Fun fact: in heartgold/soulsilver there's a picture in Kurt's house that show him,oak and as the picture says a serious looking woman....could be kurt was part of the reason Agatha hates oak
Regarding Mewtwo - the whole point is that the story ISN'T told to you, it's implied. Blaine's labcoat, the destroyed Mansion that was actually acting as the laboratory where Mewtwo was made, and the picture of Fuji and Blaine together; You're not supposed to be told what happened, you're supposed to put it together yourself. Mewtwo destroyed the lab and escaped, much like he did in the anime and Detective Pikachu. That's why the Mansion is abandoned. Fuji retired and went to atone by taking care of Pokémon at Lavender Town. Blaine continued in his passions of intellect and battling with the strongest Pokémon, by becoming a Gym Leader and Quizmaster.
The thing is kanto has a lot of subplot that makes it interesting to speculate but the adventure in the kanto games is pretty bare, and its kind of a bummer kanto has veen in so many generations with the most remakes throughout the years and the only extra info we've gotten is that silver is giovanni's son and Archer was in the original team rocket. Mewtwo has enough material to have a stand alone story on its own to expand on the lore. Everything is there for us to put the puzzle pieces together (all the implied stuff) but we never got to see what scattered the puzzle pieces in the first place.

Yea I'd say the same events from the pokemon anime movie actually connects with the game but could have lil different details instead of mewtwo craving for battle like it did in the movie it went to cerulean cave to hide itself from others who would want to abuse its power and wait for a true challenger (aka u the player) to battle it and even tame it to be with u
I think the SS Anne vs SS Aqua thing can be explained away pretty easily: The SS Anne was a luxury liner that'd bring passengers to different ports of call before setting off for a new destination. The SS Aqua was a ferry built specifically for the purpose of traveling between Kanto and Johto.
Its super odd honestly. Its like demolishing a cemetery to make a shopping mall. There's obviously going to be stories of haunting if it happened real life..
Actually there is something regarding the S.S. Anne in Gen 3. In the Oceanic Museum in Slateport City you can find a model of the ship. It mentions that the ship tours the world.
Isnt there a crashed luxury liner ship that crashed in gen 3? and didnt the S.S Anne travel around the world? If so that could be the ship. I believe its called the abandoned ship
I wouldn't be surprised if that's just a game mechanic that is also played on without explanation in the anime, but I think that in real life, most trainers would really spend time with their Pokemon after catching them rather than just catching them and just leaving everything be until they need to battle. Though what I'm curious about, myself, is how trainers even know what moves their Pokemon can use or are in the process of learning in the first place. The PokeDex doesn't appear to have that information at all in the anime as far as I know, and otherwise there's no real explanation for it. I know personally, I likely wouldn't be able to remember the moves in their current repertoire without having them written down and the moveset updated. There is also how even the Pokemon "forget" some moves in order to learn others; though of course that is most definitely a mere game mechanic. Final Fantasy's style of having every single spell still be selectable would make much more sense in a realistic sense, but would be much more problematic in the games.

And in Best Wishes during the gym battle Vs Clay, when Ash's Boldore evolves he checked his Pokedex and saw that Boldore learned new moves upon evolving. It was able to use them instantly after just being commanded by Ash.
That's just one of those things that doesn't make sense that still needs to be there. Like when a show about space has aliens from all across the universe speak english: a language from one group from one planet spoken by everyone lol.
I think the ss anne actually went to the alola region, after leaving the ship in let's go you encounter mina who says that she missed the ship and has to wait for the next one to get back to alola.
@@pokris3385 Even though it wasn't in existent yet, SS Anne was going to a far off plcaes. Which Alola was retconned to be that place. And it makes perfect sense, cruise ships do make stops at popular island locations for people to visit during their voyage.

You have started with Galar to iterate on Kanto, so flipflopping from end to beginning to "end" to "beginning" would be a nice change if pace.
The funny thing about Gen 2 is that there are a bunch of unused maps still in the game data. Come to think of it we have the Space World demo too. Lots of stuff changed throughout development. To the point where the TCG had already made cards based around characters from the pre-release versions of the game story. Like imposter professor oak.
I always thought the Pokémon tower getting replaced by the radio tower was because gamefreak/Nintendo in the 2000s thought including the tower as a pokeomon cemetery might’ve been too dark and upsetting of a concept to bring back for their at the time new and shiny red and blue remakes, so they scraped it. But later back-peddled due to fan backlash.
The SS Anne is a world class luxury ship (like titanic). Also in Emerald there's a guy standing by a ship model in the museum. If you click on the model it says "SS Anne". If you click on the guy he'll tell you that it reminds him of the abandoned ship. So, it's hinted they might be the same.

For some mysteries we have to go for sources in order to get the full story. On the manga Agatha explains why she has a grudge against oak. They were used to be friends, alongside with kurt and the day care couple from Goldenrod. Eventually both oak and agatha face each other on pokemon championship and oak won against her. But he turned the title down to pursue researching. She thought it was a miss use of his skills as a trainer
I think Agatha feels like that towards oak because Oak is a man of science and research Agatha is a ghost type elite 4 Maybe it resembles the on going debate of spirituality against science and fact.

The S.S. Anne was said to be a world-touring cruise ship rather than just being a simple means of transportation, so it'd make sense that it doesn't appear again in Red & Blue after setting sail, as its annual tour would probably only bring it back to the region about once or twice a year, I suppose. Gold & Silver, on the other hand, needed a speedship designated to travel back-and-forth between Kanto and Johto regularly rather than a luxury cruise that stops by only once per season during a tour around the world, which is why the S.S. Aqua was used for those games instead of the S.S. Anne. They each serve two complete different purposes. That being said; Game Freak has indeed had plenty of opportunities by now to let the S.S. Anne show up again in another region during one of its world tours like it did in Kanto. I fully agree that it's long overdue for another cameo. I guess maybe they just want to avoid contradicting its fate in the anime and causing confusion among fans who don't comprehend that the games are an entirely separate canon? IDK

May I say the entire thing with Mewtwo is explained in the manga, granted it isn't a game explanation but it feels like it's the biggest we get, legit explains everything, from Blaine's part in the Mewtwo project (which I won't say here for spoilers, go read the Pokemon Adventures Manga, it's great) Over all though I love the video
Blaine was made a part of the Mewtwo project in the manga instead of Fuji because there wasn't much in-game proof at the time that Fuji was more heavily involved in the project than Blaine. Which actually kinda disappoints me. Fuji's role in the manga was almost non-existent.

I always figured Kanto was completely corrupt. Giovanni was a gym leader. They ran Celadon. Team rocket commissioned for a lot ok f pokemon related experiments (voltorb, electrode, Mewtwo)
Team Rocket were actually kinda intimidating. They took over Celadon, Saffron, and kind of Lavender town. The leader was stationed in Viridion. Then they took over the town w the Slowpoke Well. They were stationed in Mahogany and took over Goldenrod. That's a lot of cities and towns
@Red Rum Yeah, they were already defeated by Gold and Silver. But I like the idea that they didn't just vanish from existence after being defeated. It's very crazy if you count what they did as Rainbow Rocket though
The manga explains a lot of these theories. And a couple of interviews have explained that some of these theories are indeed cannon to the game. Blaine and Mr Fuji are not brothers but are more so partners.

So yeah, the Pokemon Adventures manga is the most canon we could get for the backstory of the game.

PKMN Trainer Mark ya I was upset when they didn’t let us go into the radio tower and silph co in HGSS. It made sense in the original gen 2 games because of storage limitations but it just seemed like laziness in the remakes

good news! pokemon masters actually went into detail about agatha and oak's relationship in agatha's first scout story. i'll just copy-paste from bulbapedia but it should give you a good idea: 'In Pokemon Masters, during her Sync Pair Story "A Day with Agatha", Agatha explains how she and Oak met. Oak was always friendly and open when he was young and would talk to Agatha and try to help her. Though he was only trying to be nice, it still annoyed Agatha because she wanted to be left alone. Agatha would battle Oak to try and get him to go away, but he was always better than her, and so she would battle him again and again. Eventually, the time they spent together began to mean a lot to Agatha. As a result, when Oak got the idea to invent the Pokédex and subsequently stopped battling, Agatha felt betrayed.'
A mystery that I never saw someone talk about it was the question of who was the fourth Elite Four member, because when you fight the Elite Four Lance is the final Member and Your Rival the Champion, but Lance was the Champion that Your Rival fought, so if Lance was the Champion before who was the Member that left after Lance lost the Champion title to become a Member of the Elite Four, or did your rival fought just the "Elite Three" and then the Champion Lance?
In pokemon origins. When red defeats the elite four lance says that you can become the master but someone is already the champion so in kanto you just need to defeat to elite four OR in pokemon red there was a code that pokemon oak us the master just like kukui
In the Let's Go games, it's explained that until now, the Trainer who defeated the Elite Four would be called a Champion, but from now on, the Champion would actually become a part of the League challenge.
Knowing that gen 1 had no calender, no day/night and the only time function was based on play time so it had no way of knowing what a year was as a kid removed the hype for me
@@AJMTV I probably didn't think about it exactly like that so young but thinking back now I know there's really only a hand full of ways to make that work, a calender solves it 100% but in gen 2 it would be possible if they had a way to track the number of times a day or week or any number of time based functions cycle through. Since berries were daily and gifts only happened in certain days you could write a small code that checked how many times for example Wednsday cycled through, if 52, then boat reappears. I'm not saying it should or anything but it's something simple that wouldn't be too hard
I kinda miss Pokémon prior to widespread and frequent usage of internet. I’ll never forget growing up in elementary school a classmate and his brother actually rented a book on braille from the local library to help us all figure out the mystery of the Regi trio. The sheer adventure in trying to translate it and unlock them in the game is something that a simple internet search can accomplish now but back then it was incredible to try and figure it out on our own. Times have changed.
What about the abandoned power plant where Zapdos resides? Why is it abandoned? When was it abandoned? Did Zapdos have something to do with it? Is that why electric Pokemon reside there? Why is the power plant so isolated?

Honestly, the only real mystery that is a real mystery is the beta stuff. "Mew gave birth" Now that is a mystery since almost every legendary can't do so in the games.
This is not true. Legendaries can indeed "Give birth" aka lay eggs. It's been shown in the anime that's there's a baby Lugia and in Pokemon rangers and following games you can get a manaphy in an egg. So why wouldn't mew be able to breed? Since it's often refered to as the ancestor of all Pokemon

I feel the Radio Tower replaced Pokémon Tower because Lavender Town wanted to start fresh. They didn’t want to be known as the creepy LITERAL ghost town anymore, now that they’re free of the control of ghosts and stuff. The town has cheery music, the big tower holding ghosts was replaced with a neat thing people all around use, and things were just happier! But that’s just my theory on it.
Oh the Pokemon tower thing is easy. It's based on the actual events in Japan. It's a genuine ongoing event that happens there. As they try to develop areas sometimes even graveyards have to be dug up and moved. Ya gotta realize Kanto includes the largest urban areas in the world. While the game feels space to us it's supposed to be super dense and filled with buildings. Replacing the tower was the only option.
About Mewtwo: I don't think the props are plot devices. Mewtwo is an intentional mystery put in the game, just like secret fighters in Mortal Kombat. It made people talk about the game, trying to figure out what happened. A kind of advertising, if you will. And given that it still works (your video is prove) makes it so they probably never tell the whole story ^^
Facts just like back than when I was in 5th grade in 99 at the time I heard rumors and stories about the game everyday on the school yard fun times I'll never forget those days
the adventures manga (which is Satoshi's ideal vision of the pokemon world) expands on a lot of the loose ends the games leave open. It explains that Agatha and Oak were close battle rivals but when he switched to research that strained their relationship and went their separate ways. While Blaine is more involved in the creation of Mewtwo, even using his own dna to make mew's clone more humanoid. The pokemon origins series (more directly adapted from the games) also alludes to Mr.Fuji's involvement of Mewtwo. The thing I'm most puzzled by is what Leaf's role was in Let's Go
It's not "ideal" it's "the closest one to the one he wanted to convey". Since that interview Pokemon Origins was made too, which was supposed to be even closer than that.
The St.anne crashed into cycling road since in the official art it closes the vermillion harbor in completely making it impossible for ships to sail out

I think what happened with the SS Anne, was that it made a long voyage to Hoenn, hence why you weren't able to go there. And the captain whose back you rub is none other than Drake, the Hoenn Elite Four member. Who had a dragon Pokemon that saved him once the ship was caught in a natural event, causing it to shipwreck in Hoenn. Making the SS Anne the Abandoned Ship in Hoenn.
We should get a professor oak game that takes place in the past where it shows how oak came to his dream as a professor. Like he was the best trainer but gave it up to complete the Pokédex lol.

It was literally sacrilegious to remove all the Pokémon graves from the tower just to turn it into a radio tower. No wonder the Kanto radio is haunted. The more logical place to build the tower would’ve been Vermilion or Celadon. Hell, they were already “tamping” the ground to build something in Vermillion.
One thing I find mysterious is: Why didn't they take advantage of the Let's Go games to balance the types out or allow other gen Pokemon that are connected to the original ones Come to think of it; it'd be pretty cool if they added some 'new' Pokemon based around the unused ideas
Why unused ideas don't happen: -They were bad in the first place, then and now -They have been adapted into other ideas that have since come out It's novel for us, but not for them.

In Red/Blue, in the lab on Cinnabar Island, a man exclaims that the Riachu he was traded evolved. This was removed from Yellow and the remakes. Makes you wonder though, what was the third evolution that got scrapped?
@@zackabdo4625 True but various sources like bulbapedia, serebii, etc. have said the name of the ship prior to it crashing was the SS Cactus. Isn't it also widely accepted that the events of gens 1 and 3 take place at the same time? The abandoned ship seems to have been there a while.
I always thought that mr.fugi stayed in lavender town because he was afraid of Mewtwo and since Mewtwo was a psychic type he thought ghost types were the best way to counter it. Also I kinda thought that Agatha got upset with professor Oak because he spent most of his time studying Pokemon instead of spending it with her
Mewtwo story: I imagined that mewtwo was a part of the fossil restoration tech development. That scientists had created the tech to revive a mew and screwed up due to having a degraded source material but were able to improvise and ended up with mewtwo. It escaped and they recycled the tech to fossil pokemon.
My headcanon for the Pokemon Tower is that there may have been something wrong with the structure or where it was, in a way that basic repairs or renovations weren't an option. The graves would have been relocated to another site where this wouldn't be an issue, and the left over land would be freed up for the city to whatever with. The decision to build a Radio Tower likely came after then and played no role in the grave's relocation.

SeraphimDragon I think the first time we could get a mew in an in game location was Pokemon emerald also may be the only place besides the gen 1 glitch mew. Which I count me personally not for any good reason.
Back to the point I was trying to make. In Pokemon emerald you could get an event item called the old sea map I think. It's a map that lets the captain of the boat could get to the island which has mew, and it's said to be the exact mew that was used to make the gen 1 mewtwo it's said in a faded sign basically.

I like the mewtwo ambiguity, when legendary Pokémon aren’t shoved in your face it feels like an achievement rather than a featured.
100% It built great mystery and anticipation. The ambiguity makes Mewtwo just THAT much better.
Fun fact: in heartgold/soulsilver there's a picture in Kurt's house that show him,oak and as the picture says a serious looking woman....could be kurt was part of the reason Agatha hates oak
Regarding Mewtwo - the whole point is that the story ISN'T told to you, it's implied. Blaine's labcoat, the destroyed Mansion that was actually acting as the laboratory where Mewtwo was made, and the picture of Fuji and Blaine together; You're not supposed to be told what happened, you're supposed to put it together yourself. Mewtwo destroyed the lab and escaped, much like he did in the anime and Detective Pikachu. That's why the Mansion is abandoned.
Fuji retired and went to atone by taking care of Pokémon at Lavender Town. Blaine continued in his passions of intellect and battling with the strongest Pokémon, by becoming a Gym Leader and Quizmaster.
Where did Hoops even come up with Blaine and Fuji possibly being brothers? If anything, it seems they were just close friends.
Thats pretty much Blaine and Mewtwo's background story in Pokemon Adventures manga.....
The thing is kanto has a lot of subplot that makes it interesting to speculate but the adventure in the kanto games is pretty bare, and its kind of a bummer kanto has veen in so many generations with the most remakes throughout the years and the only extra info we've gotten is that silver is giovanni's son and Archer was in the original team rocket. Mewtwo has enough material to have a stand alone story on its own to expand on the lore.
Everything is there for us to put the puzzle pieces together (all the implied stuff) but we never got to see what scattered the puzzle pieces in the first place.

Yea I'd say the same events from the pokemon anime movie actually connects with the game but could have lil different details instead of mewtwo craving for battle like it did in the movie it went to cerulean cave to hide itself from others who would want to abuse its power and wait for a true challenger (aka u the player) to battle it and even tame it to be with u

I think the SS Anne vs SS Aqua thing can be explained away pretty easily: The SS Anne was a luxury liner that'd bring passengers to different ports of call before setting off for a new destination. The SS Aqua was a ferry built specifically for the purpose of traveling between Kanto and Johto.

Actually there is something regarding the S.S. Anne in Gen 3. In the Oceanic Museum in Slateport City you can find a model of the ship. It mentions that the ship tours the world.

I just want to know why all pokemon seem to know the human meaning for their moves immediately after being caught
I wouldn't be surprised if that's just a game mechanic that is also played on without explanation in the anime, but I think that in real life, most trainers would really spend time with their Pokemon after catching them rather than just catching them and just leaving everything be until they need to battle.
Though what I'm curious about, myself, is how trainers even know what moves their Pokemon can use or are in the process of learning in the first place. The PokeDex doesn't appear to have that information at all in the anime as far as I know, and otherwise there's no real explanation for it. I know personally, I likely wouldn't be able to remember the moves in their current repertoire without having them written down and the moveset updated.
There is also how even the Pokemon "forget" some moves in order to learn others; though of course that is most definitely a mere game mechanic. Final Fantasy's style of having every single spell still be selectable would make much more sense in a realistic sense, but would be much more problematic in the games.

And in Best Wishes during the gym battle Vs Clay, when Ash's Boldore evolves he checked his Pokedex and saw that Boldore learned new moves upon evolving. It was able to use them instantly after just being commanded by Ash.
That's just one of those things that doesn't make sense that still needs to be there. Like when a show about space has aliens from all across the universe speak english: a language from one group from one planet spoken by everyone lol.

The funny thing about Gen 2 is that there are a bunch of unused maps still in the game data. Come to think of it we have the Space World demo too. Lots of stuff changed throughout development. To the point where the TCG had already made cards based around characters from the pre-release versions of the game story. Like imposter professor oak.
I always thought the Pokémon tower getting replaced by the radio tower was because gamefreak/Nintendo in the 2000s thought including the tower as a pokeomon cemetery might’ve been too dark and upsetting of a concept to bring back for their at the time new and shiny red and blue remakes, so they scraped it. But later back-peddled due to fan backlash.

If you click on the guy he'll tell you that it reminds him of the abandoned ship. So, it's hinted they might be the same.

For some mysteries we have to go for sources in order to get the full story. On the manga Agatha explains why she has a grudge against oak. They were used to be friends, alongside with kurt and the day care couple from Goldenrod. Eventually both oak and agatha face each other on pokemon championship and oak won against her. But he turned the title down to pursue researching. She thought it was a miss use of his skills as a trainer

The S.S. Anne was said to be a world-touring cruise ship rather than just being a simple means of transportation, so it'd make sense that it doesn't appear again in Red & Blue after setting sail, as its annual tour would probably only bring it back to the region about once or twice a year, I suppose.
Gold & Silver, on the other hand, needed a speedship designated to travel back-and-forth between Kanto and Johto regularly rather than a luxury cruise that stops by only once per season during a tour around the world, which is why the S.S. Aqua was used for those games instead of the S.S. Anne. They each serve two complete different purposes.
That being said; Game Freak has indeed had plenty of opportunities by now to let the S.S. Anne show up again in another region during one of its world tours like it did in Kanto. I fully agree that it's long overdue for another cameo. I guess maybe they just want to avoid contradicting its fate in the anime and causing confusion among fans who don't comprehend that the games are an entirely separate canon? IDK

May I say the entire thing with Mewtwo is explained in the manga, granted it isn't a game explanation but it feels like it's the biggest we get, legit explains everything, from Blaine's part in the Mewtwo project (which I won't say here for spoilers, go read the Pokemon Adventures Manga, it's great)

Blaine was made a part of the Mewtwo project in the manga instead of Fuji because there wasn't much in-game proof at the time that Fuji was more heavily involved in the project than Blaine. Which actually kinda disappoints me. Fuji's role in the manga was almost non-existent.

They were underground in Kanto, lead by Giovanni secretly. Whereas in Johto, they are loud and rambunctious, with no real leader.
I always figured Kanto was completely corrupt. Giovanni was a gym leader. They ran Celadon. Team rocket commissioned for a lot ok f pokemon related experiments (voltorb, electrode, Mewtwo)
Saffron city was pretty much shut down by Team Rocket; all routes into it were shut down, and Silph Co was completely overrun.
Team Rocket were actually kinda intimidating. They took over Celadon, Saffron, and kind of Lavender town. The leader was stationed in Viridion. Then they took over the town w the Slowpoke Well. They were stationed in Mahogany and took over Goldenrod. That's a lot of cities and towns

The manga explains a lot of these theories. And a couple of interviews have explained that some of these theories are indeed cannon to the game. Blaine and Mr Fuji are not brothers but are more so partners.
The manga is its own continuity that is only based on the games and answers the mysteries presented in them in its own way.

So yeah, the Pokemon Adventures manga is the most canon we could get for the backstory of the game.

good news! pokemon masters actually went into detail about agatha and oak's relationship in agatha's first scout story. i'll just copy-paste from bulbapedia but it should give you a good idea:
'In Pokemon Masters, during her Sync Pair Story "A Day with Agatha", Agatha explains how she and Oak met. Oak was always friendly and open when he was young and would talk to Agatha and try to help her. Though he was only trying to be nice, it still annoyed Agatha because she wanted to be left alone. Agatha would battle Oak to try and get him to go away, but he was always better than her, and so she would battle him again and again. Eventually, the time they spent together began to mean a lot to Agatha. As a result, when Oak got the idea to invent the Pokédex and subsequently stopped battling, Agatha felt betrayed.'

A mystery that I never saw someone talk about it was the question of who was the fourth Elite Four member, because when you fight the Elite Four Lance is the final Member and Your Rival the Champion, but Lance was the Champion that Your Rival fought, so if Lance was the Champion before who was the Member that left after Lance lost the Champion title to become a Member of the Elite Four, or did your rival fought just the "Elite Three" and then the Champion Lance?
In pokemon origins. When red defeats the elite four lance says that you can become the master but someone is already the champion so in kanto you just need to defeat to elite four OR in pokemon red there was a code that pokemon oak us the master just like kukui
In the Let's Go games, it's explained that until now, the Trainer who defeated the Elite Four would be called a Champion, but from now on, the Champion would actually become a part of the League challenge.

@@AJMTV I probably didn't think about it exactly like that so young but thinking back now I know there's really only a hand full of ways to make that work, a calender solves it 100% but in gen 2 it would be possible if they had a way to track the number of times a day or week or any number of time based functions cycle through.
Since berries were daily and gifts only happened in certain days you could write a small code that checked how many times for example Wednsday cycled through, if 52, then boat reappears.
I'm not saying it should or anything but it's something simple that wouldn't be too hard

I kinda miss Pokémon prior to widespread and frequent usage of internet. I’ll never forget growing up in elementary school a classmate and his brother actually rented a book on braille from the local library to help us all figure out the mystery of the Regi trio. The sheer adventure in trying to translate it and unlock them in the game is something that a simple internet search can accomplish now but back then it was incredible to try and figure it out on our own. Times have changed.

What about the abandoned power plant where Zapdos resides? Why is it abandoned? When was it abandoned? Did Zapdos have something to do with it? Is that why electric Pokemon reside there? Why is the power plant so isolated?

This is not true. Legendaries can indeed "Give birth" aka lay eggs. It's been shown in the anime that's there's a baby Lugia and in Pokemon rangers and following games you can get a manaphy in an egg.

I feel the Radio Tower replaced Pokémon Tower because Lavender Town wanted to start fresh. They didn’t want to be known as the creepy LITERAL ghost town anymore, now that they’re free of the control of ghosts and stuff. The town has cheery music, the big tower holding ghosts was replaced with a neat thing people all around use, and things were just happier! But that’s just my theory on it.

Oh the Pokemon tower thing is easy. It's based on the actual events in Japan. It's a genuine ongoing event that happens there. As they try to develop areas sometimes even graveyards have to be dug up and moved. Ya gotta realize Kanto includes the largest urban areas in the world. While the game feels space to us it's supposed to be super dense and filled with buildings. Replacing the tower was the only option.

About Mewtwo: I don't think the props are plot devices. Mewtwo is an intentional mystery put in the game, just like secret fighters in Mortal Kombat. It made people talk about the game, trying to figure out what happened. A kind of advertising, if you will. And given that it still works (your video is prove) makes it so they probably never tell the whole story ^^
Facts just like back than when I was in 5th grade in 99 at the time I heard rumors and stories about the game everyday on the school yard fun times I'll never forget those days
the adventures manga (which is Satoshi's ideal vision of the pokemon world) expands on a lot of the loose ends the games leave open. It explains that Agatha and Oak were close battle rivals but when he switched to research that strained their relationship and went their separate ways. While Blaine is more involved in the creation of Mewtwo, even using his own dna to make mew's clone more humanoid. The pokemon origins series (more directly adapted from the games) also alludes to Mr.Fuji's involvement of Mewtwo. The thing I'm most puzzled by is what Leaf's role was in Let's Go
It's not "ideal" it's "the closest one to the one he wanted to convey". Since that interview Pokemon Origins was made too, which was supposed to be even closer than that.

I think what happened with the SS Anne, was that it made a long voyage to Hoenn, hence why you weren't able to go there. And the captain whose back you rub is none other than Drake, the Hoenn Elite Four member. Who had a dragon Pokemon that saved him once the ship was caught in a natural event, causing it to shipwreck in Hoenn. Making the SS Anne the Abandoned Ship in Hoenn.

It was literally sacrilegious to remove all the Pokémon graves from the tower just to turn it into a radio tower. No wonder the Kanto radio is haunted. The more logical place to build the tower would’ve been Vermilion or Celadon. Hell, they were already “tamping” the ground to build something in Vermillion.

One thing I find mysterious is:
Why didn't they take advantage of the Let's Go games to balance the types out or allow other gen Pokemon that are connected to the original ones
Come to think of it; it'd be pretty cool if they added some 'new' Pokemon based around the unused ideas
Why unused ideas don't happen:
-They were bad in the first place, then and now
-They have been adapted into other ideas that have since come out

In Red/Blue, in the lab on Cinnabar Island, a man exclaims that the Riachu he was traded evolved. This was removed from Yellow and the remakes.

@@zackabdo4625 True but various sources like bulbapedia, serebii, etc. have said the name of the ship prior to it crashing was the SS Cactus.
Isn't it also widely accepted that the events of gens 1 and 3 take place at the same time? The abandoned ship seems to have been there a while.

I always thought that mr.fugi stayed in lavender town because he was afraid of Mewtwo and since Mewtwo was a psychic type he thought ghost types were the best way to counter it.
Also I kinda thought that Agatha got upset with professor Oak because he spent most of his time studying Pokemon instead of spending it with her

Mewtwo story: I imagined that mewtwo was a part of the fossil restoration tech development. That scientists had created the tech to revive a mew and screwed up due to having a degraded source material but were able to improvise and ended up with mewtwo. It escaped and they recycled the tech to fossil pokemon.

My headcanon for the Pokemon Tower is that there may have been something wrong with the structure or where it was, in a way that basic repairs or renovations weren't an option. The graves would have been relocated to another site where this wouldn't be an issue, and the left over land would be freed up for the city to whatever with.
The decision to build a Radio Tower likely came after then and played no role in the grave's relocation.
