I've dropped all the friends I had when I was a teenager. It's lonely sometimes, so then I reach out to an acquaintance and have a conversation. Because building myself up from slings and arrows is time-consuming, I'd rather be lonely than deal with negativity.
Fake friends are able to smell or sense money. I got blamed by a “friend” of 10 years because he expected me to pay off a debt for him, which was an unauthorised overdraft. He thought I was made of money because I am careful with it and not buy BS things like he does. He went into an overdraft by buying Victorinox knife set which cost him £300 ($450USD), excellent knives I got a set even but the difference is that I knew I can afford them and can use them. He was in terminal debt due to gambling, buying those knives was like buying a Bentley Continental but unable to afford the fuel for a Fiat 500.

@@msrain1235 Entitlement. “You suppose to be my friend I helped you!” but he never did help me in anything, just mooched off me like a parasite. I have other friends who have less money than me and this guy and they simply manage their cash-flow better. All because of Victorinox.

I haven't listened to the video, but I do know that all of the friends I had as a teenager became haters while I was pursuing my masters and entrepreneurship. I've stopped interacting with all of them. I hadn't noticed but when I was reflective I realized they were nasty when we were teenagers and in our twenties, I overlooked their character. I hadn't learned about living a life of privacy. Everyone doesn't need to know your dreams and aspirations because for some people they will let you know they're a gainsayer.

The main reason I don't have any friends is that whatever I'll be doin, say for example, having innovative ideas for future goals, they'll always say "YOU CAN'T DO IT",, so just leave it.

Those people are gainsayers when people stomp on your dreams and inspirations they are not your friends. I just deleted someone who was on the periphery of my life but was continually being negative and manipulative. They would reach out to me to engage in this behavior. Some people are just disagreeable and will crap on you throughout your life if you allow their behaviors to continue.

because they have higher standards, this is me and its hard to find new friends. i dotn hang out with unambitious, lazy, people who do drugs (weed), have no style. because when you have a friend that is highly inferior to you and wont change for the better he keeps dragging you down just with his presence, laziness, shit life standards become normal for you if you hang out with that friend too long. but people with same drive and ambition are hard to come by and they are often busy going forward in life.... its a magical circle very hard to get out of
Pete Pete it’s fine to hang out friends for comfort and frivolous times the only thing that split us apart is the ambition nobody can keep up and unwilling to support you in trouble times, hell, even if you have friends but can’t keep you because how you made them feel about especially how you look how you move & how you speak can drive a rift that you didn’t make.... No if you don't have that many friends it doesn't mean you are a genius.
One of the common thing found amongst smart people is that they have very few friends. Now it is important to note that it doesn't mean that because you have less friends so you are a genius. But it is expected for genus to have less friends. So vice versa is not always the case here
And you are right sometimes people have less friends because they don't care about the trend or they don't act as how society wants them to act. It can also be because they don't meet enough people and etc. Being genius is just one of the many reasons

I’m too introverted and been burned by friends that never come through so I have come to the realization I can’t count on people and my personality may be the other reason why people don’t care for me. I don’t rely on anyone and it works for me.

The most important thing in life is not to have new friends or alot of friends but to have true friends. I have been blessed enough to have two best friends that genuinely care for me and tell me what I need to hear not what I want to hear. Who love and respect me as I am. They know me as I am better than even close family members.

There are many reasons people in adulthood find themselves alone. If you become divorced, for instance, your ex-friends will stop inviting you because you are now a danger. I went through this, along with other friends. Lived most of my life, I now have a long list to know why people have no friends or fewer friends or one or two friends. Let's face it, most people are fairy tale friends that you can socialize with. But how many REAL friends you have that matters. Those that are there for you and you are there for them in need. I have one. The others are good friends but the friendship is not as deep. Your list Alux is very basic but useful for those who need much inner work done.
Guilty of #8 High Expectations (no 1 is perfect) & #13 talking about self too much. Not reaching out caused a couple fails. Trust matters a lot for me.

I don't make new friends because I'm an introvert and I've been let down by so many people I kind of lost my trust in other people. This new lifestyle has enabled me to develop and accomplish my goals 😀

Education system in India drastically changed . Yes , in India . Students are given flexibility !!! They will be learning coding at grade 6 ( as students can learn how to think ) students will not mug up things now , because the deserving student knows how to learn and apply things ( in 7th grade you learn electricity and you weren't even able to change the bulb in you house ). Even high schoolers get to choose an optional sub ( any sub , geography , accounts , etc ) . This will change lives of millions of Indians 💪💪💪💪

What if I'm the one who used to get bullied yet I don't have any friends? I've been in this situation where people avoided me and they themselves played with me whenever I trusted them.
Due to such incidents, I've stopped making close friendships and just a keep not so affecting relations with the same people so that it doesn't pain me when the same people who call me a friend, leave me.
I agree I'm not perfect, I've flaws but I've never been bad to anyone unless someone else became bad to me.

I think it's harder making friends as an adult. All the friends I have I had them as a teenager.
The reasons why i don't have many friends is that they move away , get into a relationship or we both move on with our lives. I don't trust many people because history repeats itself and the same things over again. Less friends means less drama and more me time. I have one friend and it's just a matter of time till this friendship goes sideways. I have met alot of people over the years some died and some are living but i don't hang on to the memories because it's pointless. I just go on living my life. I am pretty antisocial that's because i seen way too much and i don't like very many people.

There is no use looking for friends, they take to long to ferment to a simile of beloved friendship. Their path is not aligned with mine. My path is solitary and that’s fine but friends turn out to want more or deceive when I give. Relationship break ups see friends influenced by their husbands and there is no room for a single woman in that dynamic. Why bother weeding out when they start as the weed. ....and I don’t drink alcohol and am particular about what I eat. Mainly Organic quality meals when I feel hungry not necessarily when others feel mealtimes are imperative. Nothing fast food wise. That’s very limiting for them.

This channel has turned into just life tips. Which I think is probably doing more for it. Anyway, I'm guilty of #13. I have a bad tendency to make things about myself when others talk. I try to relate with a story similar of what I've experienced. But then I go on and on and need to learn to stfu.
