I HAVE A MINIMALIST WARDROBE WITH ONLY BLACK, WHITE AND GREY COLOURED PIECES. THESE COLOURS ARE MY FAVOURITE AND LOOKS GREAT ON ME 😘
My clothing style is inspired from shows and movies like:
Suits (Mad men, lucifer, and suits)

Another tip- you could probably find two colors that you look amazing in, and make a few outfits around that
Remember boys and girls traditional cloths such as blazers , never go out of fashion.
Build your wardrobe on traditional cloths, if you have tight budget.
I invest in classic pieces and buy trends cheap. Also buy out of season!! I just bought a virgin wool coat that costs $450 dollars for $175, Aritzia will release the exact same coats in a few months in different colours but they wanted to get rid of their 2019 winter stock. So I got a timeless wool coat in grey which will go with everything for a fraction of the cost. If you need a new winter coat BUY YOUR WINTER COAT NOW!!
I’ve got 4 workout outfits, 5 summer outfits, and 5 normal outfits. I’m a simple man, Zuck approach is good for me.

I have been working on putting together a proper wardrobe for the last several months and let me tell you, the one thing that I did that helped me the most was researching aesthetics and figuring out exactly what my style can be called. That way I could go on pinterest or Google and type in exactly what the style is that I wear and get ideas. From there I could write down exactly what pieces show up repeatedly in those outfits and make sure to add them to your list of things to buy. Later when you've collected some of those pieces you can easily go on Google or pinterest click on an outfit and recreate it in real life. 🥳💕

I don't fully agree with 13th. Sales are good but only if you stick to classic piece that will never go out of style. I will tell you how to get the best deal on sale. If you already have a good wardrobe and you are not in a hurry to buy clothes, you can do this: After each season you can buy classic pieces that are on sale and just wait for next year when you can wear them.

To number 13 ("Forget the half-price or sales traps"), I would say this: careful, diligent shoppers should, generally, always be able to find some real "diamonds in the rough" if they know where and how to look for them. There are many retailers, especially liquidation and even consignment shops, where one can find some truly terrific, quality items if, again, they take their time and search the inventories carefully. I have found some great looking, quality items of clothing at, for example, Burlington stores in the Washington, D.C. area, at ridiculously low prices. Yes, what Karl Lagerfeld said probably has some truth and wisdom to it because many of the items that may be considered "trendy", or that find themselves at the end of the line, so to speak, in stores such as Burlington or some of the "rack" stores may truly be God-awful pieces, there are some truly great articles of clothing that can be had, at unbelievably great prices.

@@ellieb8482 I used the book "Color Me Beautiful." Since I'm so clearly a winter, it was easy. Others, however, are better served by going to someone in person. Try searching for a color consultant in your area who can hold up fabric samples so you can clearly see the difference in how it makes you look. Or, you can give the book a try first and if that doesn't work for you, then move on to finding a color consultant to work with.

in terms of adapting the capsule wardrobe take account of where you reside others mention in lists are best in the places with four seasons or not much for other weather types . In humid weather and with two seasons (like the Philippines as an example) light materials are best there with a timless piece less on the patterns and for rainy seasons its ok to bring out sweaters that arent too thick or thin

My best advice is to invest in a steamer, a easy way to keep your clothes wrinkle-free, also leave nice items to the drycleaners- they can truly save clothes you thought were completly distroyed from stains etc. Another hack is to go to a tailor to have clothes adjusted ❤

Regarding sales: if you buy goood classics, you can still get outstanding deals during the seasonal change overs. Cable cotton sweaters and tweed blazers with real buttoned sleeves were my prizes last spring. I wear an odd size in blazers, so I almost never find beautiful blazers, but I made out like a bandit this year.

My advice to other (male) Aluxers is: never buy suits from fast fashion brands like Zara. They are the ones who dare to make suits with only polyester, when a good suit should be made of fine wool and possibly blent with some silk.

As a stylist I see lots of disinformation in this video... Love the channel, but wanted to cry on some points.
Blues, Black and grey ARE NOT cool tones. as blue and grey can be warm or cold, black doesn't have any pigment - so basically it is not a color. Building wardrobe around warm tone "burgundy" - well good luck with that.
And so on.. Please check the information before doing any statement.
But there's also warm black cool black and jet black
Of course black has color in it--that's why it's so difficult to match blacks when you're putting together an all-black ensemble. Blues, blacks, and grays are cool tones AND warm tones, depending on the hue and shade. And burgundy can go extremely well with warm fall colors.
