- We can take inspiration for our crafting from many places. Often I turn to books, especially science fiction and fantasy tales for my inspiration. In this video I share some of my creations that were inspired by books, movies, and TV. I also share a new project in double knitting and announce a brand new knit-a-long!
The One Ring Scarf Knit-a-Long
This winter, I plan to make the One Ring Scarf - a double knitting project that I expect will be quite an adventure - and I hope that you will join me! If you are not interested in making the One Ring Scarf, but would still like to join, any double knitting project will do. If you are on Ravelry, you can join the One Ring Scarf Along group, link below, and you can also use the tag #oneringscarf on both Instagram and Raverly to share your projects.

Wow, too cool, Becca. I also love fantasy knits. I ought to, because my first novel is a fantasy fairy tale. Lol.
I love Lord of the Rings. Read the book The Hobbit back in the 80s. 🙂
Mad Mardigan, haha. What a cool name to give to a yarn colour. I love Willow! Can`t wait for part II.
Wow again, I would love to knit a "Ring" scarf. But I do not know, if I can manage the double knitting.
I might give it a try. I have just the right colours laying around for it and was just thinking about the right project for it.
Your rose gloves are so very beautiful. Also the sweater you were wearing was awesome. Of course I liked the socks too.
I had to smile again, when you did your introduction. It reminds me so much of "Mr Roger`s Neighbourhood", lol.
Have you seen the movie with Tom Hanks playing Mr. Rogers? It is fantastic.
Huggs and blessings. 🙂
Oh thank you, Christina! I love that my intro reminds you of Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. I haven't seen the Tom Hanks movie yet, but it looks great! I do hope you will make a Ring scarf. You are so skilled with your crafting, I'm sure you can do it! I was intimidated by it as well. It's been on my project wish list for a very long time. That's why I started with the smaller project. I find the double knitting to be time consuming, but not really difficult once I got the hang of it. And I expect it may be easier with straight needles rather than knitting in the round with all the double points getting in the way. Hugs to you, my friend!
