The presentation of Indian terrain is exceptional. I bet none of the Indian schools go into this depth of understanding of our mainland.
What makes this presentation more interesting is the comparison factor from time to time, just to give a relevant perspective to the viewers.
And of course the Mighty Himalayas!!!

Three most densely populated states(no union territories included) in India are :
1) Bihar
2) West Bengal
3) Kerala
Kerala is the only south Indian state in the list of top 5 Indian states with high population density. Western ghats plays a huge role in Keeping Kerala's geographical advantage and maintaining tropical climate. There are 44 rivers in Kerala which are originating from the western ghats. Besides the rivers there are many lakes and small streams all over Kerala. Kerala also recieves a huge amount of rain fall throughout the year. Another intresting fact about Kerala is around 25% of Kerala's land area is Forrest. which makes the state even more densely populated.

Ganges makes no sense when u have a proper name Ganga. Why ruin the name to make easy , we in our books have learnt all difficult western , chinese , japanese names😐
It has historical precedent because most Europeans knew of it from the Ancient Greeks and the name Ganges is the Greek name for the ganga. Similar to Indus being the Greek form of the name for Sindhu
We really don't. We learn the anglicized version of these foreign names.
As an Indian when I watched the video sometime ago I myself was surprised and this was such a great eye opener.

but they forgot that slum generates 1 billion dollar revenue every year and people there are rich and that area is slum bcz mumbai is expensive in land.

100% false news........ The South state government is good. Control the population in nehru and Indra Gandhi period....but north govt poor performance. In South India people are educated people. North Indian people are un educated people. It is the real reason. In 1947 to 1957 north and south population were equal after the south government took action and gave the awareness

Also, the literacy rate (and hence the education levels) below the line is much higher than above the line which also has a direct impact on population growth.

Fact. Every Indian map produced outside India is different from the ones produced in India. The same goes in every country with border disputes. Ask the Chinese and Russians for their maps. Just enjoy the content and ignore the map. I stopped looking at maps a long time ago because my head would explode with anger.

1. Conservation efforts are built into the culture of areas that have scarcity of water and less fertile soil
2. People in arid areas have to work harder and be more resilient. This may explain why the Northern plains population generally has a reputation for being lazy in comparison to the rest of the country.
3. People in arid areas have to be more creative about how they earn an income as they cannot rely completely on agriculture. This explains why Rajasthan and Gujarat have traditionally had a significantly higher number of tradesmen than the rest of the country.

This reason explained is the old reason! New reason is the level of education in the north is so low- causes higher fertility rate. Below this line, relatively higher literacy rate, less population growth. The southern states have higher education and more equality to women causing them to postpone marriage and childbirth contributing to lower birth rate
The oldest settlements, cities of ancient India were around the northern plains because of it's land fertility and river transportation and Silk road since thousands of years. It's always been densely populated.

i have to say this is one of the bad videos where they are trying to satisfy another side world why 3 states are overpopulated,..South states are dry? Andhra, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu produce almost every rice eaten in India,..
That's because of irrigation. The rivers do flow over, but the region overall is drier than the north which has a bigger drainage basin of multiple rivers.

They always give their English names to people, because they have accepted that other people will not be able to say their real name.
All the Indians and British students here then ask why are you even doing this. It's better for us to learn how to say it better, than them to change for their sake.

The map used for Kashmir is incorrect, the POK areas, Gilgit and the Aksai Chin areas are shown as a part of Pakistan. I am going to report that video.
