346 KPH! Wow. I travel in Japan quite often. The fastest Shinkansen in Japan is the Tohoku Shinkansen line in northern Japan which currently tops out at 300 KPH.
China's 600-kilometer train experiment has been completed, but the current high-speed rail with a speed of more than 300 kilometers per hour can already meet our needs, and there is no need to go any faster.
Actually Shinkansen can reach a commercial service speed of 320 KPH. Still China's HSR is faster, can not compare the stability since I didn't take a Shinkansen train. But compare to French TGV, China's HSR is much stable, I took the both trains, a lot.
Absolutely. Taking the time of riding taxi and check-in/luggage-picking, a travel within 1000km by high speed train is definitely a better solution. And it's safer.
First, love your videos! Here is a little info that I learned about high speed rail: one of the reasons why HSR is very expensive is that the slope of the railway has to be less than 3/1000. Therefore there are many tunnels along your ride between those two cities in the mountainous area.
The speed of the train is different based on different terrain. If you travel in northern China where there are mostly plains, the speed is indeed 350 for the whole journey. But in southern China where there tends to be mountainous, the train will reduce speed according to the terrain. Also the speed depends on which type of train you are on. If your train number starts with a G, this is the 350 km/h train. If your train number starts with a D, it will go up to only 200km/h.
It proves that China needs ginormous railway stations to cope with the enormous number of people daily, let alone during holidays. There are also limited “standing tickets” on some Chinese trains, which is not true for your train. Chinese normally do not drink tea with added sugar. The high-speed train is also very quiet just like the EVs you observed previously on the streets of Chengdu. Due to its mountainous terrain, it is also difficult to use Google Maps or some similar Chinese apps in Chongqing. BTW, the top class or luxury class is the business class, which is one class higher than the first class on the Chinese high-speed trains. But the first class seems comfortable enough. As to straight-lining the railroad, nowadays China can use home-produced tunnel boring machines (TBMs) to dig tunnels at relatively lower costs.
I really like the rhythm and comfortable atmosphere of your couple, it's really cute because I am a slow paced person like you. I highly recommend you to visit Shaxi Ancient Town in Yunnan, where there are the most beautiful snow capped mountains and farmland, as well as very cheap coffee and food, making it more suitable for photography than most big cities. Really, I hope you can take my suggestion. Yunnan has the most Chinese ethnic minorities and cultures, making it the best place to capture rural landscapes.❤❤❤
I think you may have misunderstood a bit. Unlike airplanes, on China's HSR, Business Class is the more comfortable and most recommended one, but not First Class. First Class is just a little more spacious than Second Class, nothing special.😊
For all the foreign friends, if you're going to travel in China for a long time. I would recommend you to purchase a physical t-union transportation card from the counter, for around 20 rmb. then You can use it all over China for metro and public bus. you only need to top it up from time to time from the machine or counter. If you have smart phone or band with nfc, Even better, you can purchase a NFC T-union card, and use your phone or band. make sure you purchase the card with t-union sign on it, otherwise you can only use the card locally.
I am new to your vLog, she is so cute while seeing new and exciting things in China. and thanks for sharing the beautiful China to the world. Love and really want to visit this beautiful country.

Chongqing is a very unique and cyber place, I hope you will have fun navigating the city. I would reccomend going to the city at nighttime. The night view is amazing! PIPA YUAN hot pot is a must!
Nice! Just FYI - If you take a nap in the train, still get a blanket/coat on you, the AC feels much more cool when you really fall into sleep. I would wash the blueberry before eat them, blueberry in general needs pesticides to grow well ...
You actually bought a first-class seat instead of a business seat. And the angle of the seat is adjustable, and you can lie down. In addition, there is a small table that can be put down and used. The small table is also on the back of the front chair. 7:19
31:50,It seems that every time you change provinces in China, your Alipy needs to re-enter your personal information. This is the information I received from a foreigner complaining about Alipy. So your Alipy is still usable in Chongqing, but you just need to reset the information.
If you have the chance, you must experience the China High Speed Rail (Fuxing) business class. It is comparable to the business class on an airplane. It is very high-end.
Enjoy watching your videos, they are very objective and fair. ❤The seat is adjustable, there is a button on the side of the handle, press it and can lean back. There is a small table on the backrest in front, which can be lowered by rotating the button.Have a nice trip🎉
Chengdu East station is the main transportation hub in Sichuan Province. However, Sichuan Province has a population of over 80 million people, so it's normal to see so many people in there.
love all ur videos, you guys are Kinda well-known on Chinese social media 😊 Thanks for being honest and authentic of showing China U r all really lovely people hope u enjoy ur trip
Falling behind your adventures as my life is very busy this time of year. Very smooth and calm for 350 kph. It sho as excellent engineering and well maintained tracks.
I live in a city in hainan and taking high speed train is my fave because of the village scenery too . So envious of the village life lol. I’d love to be able to take the train in mainland one day to enjoy the scenery like what you’re doing now. I am also afraid of taking plane so the train is just perfect
Do you still remember that when China had just built the high-speed railway, some westerners mocked that ordinary Chinese people couldn't afford it and worried about the occupancy rate?
Really nice video. Thanks. Interesting that the signs in the train had all the info in English, but the signboards for non-Chinese document holders in the station weren't in English. I'm really enjoying your vids, you're both so chill and easy to listen to, not obnoxious in any way, and just take things as they come.
33:29 The Chinese words on the yellow label at this place in the video are: Don't lower your head to play with your phone. It is to prevent some people from not paying attention to the wall above and hitting their heads. You are very tall, so this is to remind you to pay attention to safety. If you pay attention to this sign, you can still play with your phone normally.I hope you have a good time in Chongqing.
31:51 Next time when you guys having a payment problem for the subway, you can go check that glass office behind Naomi. (There's one in every subway station, so you don't have to worry about finding it.) Usually there are subway workers there to help you buy tickets. And it's usually faster than buying tickets at the machine. All payments are accepteble.
Hi, I'm Malaysian Chinese, do you mind tell me why you like the phrase "Mainland China"? Is it because of Taiwan? Means that China include HK, Macau & Taiwan, and Mainland China only refer to mainland. Am I on the right track? Thanks !
The seat back can be adjusted a little further back. You may feel a little tired sitting like this. I saw that the seat opposite has a leg rest, which you can also open.
At about 17:50 you said it was hard to get blueberries in SE Asia. I am in Cambodia and I can get fresh blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries and cherries most of the time.
I rode a train last year from Xiamen to Joujiang. The train past through numerous tunnels. Somehow I got the feeling that when there is a need for a railway from A to B, they just build it, tunnel through mountains in between, no matter how many or how tall there are.
I watch all ur videos without skipping the ads to show my support for ur hard works. Thank u so much, its very nice to see both of u enjoy the foods.🎉🎉🎉

支付宝本来就绑定着全国各地的地铁卡和公交卡,不用这么麻烦吧🤣
你们有机会再体验一下商务座,比飞机的商务座还舒服哟
So good to see new video almost everyday. ❤😊
We are in the UK at the moment but my wife is from Chongqing, a very modern city. You will find it different to Chengdu.
In Chongqing if you are tired of climbing stairs there are elevators but you have to find out where. The city is built on different elevation
I am new to your vLog, she is so cute while seeing new and exciting things in China. and thanks for sharing the beautiful China to the world. Love and really want to visit this beautiful country.
can’t believe u guys left chengdu without seeing panda!!😱 just kidding, lol, do what u want, have a nice trip in chongqing!😊
重庆动物园也有很多熊猫❤
Hi, you two have bright hearts. You can always find positive things from what you see and what you experience.
You have your own minds, you go on your own feet. You are experiencing most admirable lives many people dreamed of.
Good luck to you, hope you have more good times in China.
Thank you so much! That means a lot.
Cant wait to see your experience in That mega city!
🙏❤️
I really enjoyed your videos! Hope you guys continue having fun in China!
Thank you so much for sharing your adventure to China, I'm really enjoying this it's so interesting, I would love to visit China one day, I feel like I'm with you guys on the trip, Thank you, Take care, looking forward to the next video ❤👍👏
Thank you so much for watching!
Welcome to China!
You can adjust the back of the seat to make it more comfortable. The adjustment button is on your armrest.
A very humanistic video that everyone can enjoy. Just show what it is like and let the viewers share your experience. Thanks very much.
Glad you enjoyed it!❤️🙏
欢迎来到重庆
Chongqing is a very unique and cyber place, I hope you will have fun navigating the city. I would reccomend going to the city at nighttime. The night view is amazing! PIPA YUAN hot pot is a must!
it is second longest holiday, this is the reason so many people were in the station.
I want to thank you for taking me to China. It is eye opening. You guys are made for each other. Love to see such adventurous people.
Nice! Just FYI -
If you take a nap in the train, still get a blanket/coat on you, the AC feels much more cool when you really fall into sleep.
那个标志不是告诉你们不能打电话,而是表示不要在电梯上埋头玩手机,会不安全😂
一般贴在那个位置的提示都是:小心磕头
@@DyingGasp-u1t 应该是小心楼梯,别踏空了!
Loving your videos! I need to visit Chengdu and Chongqing. Your videos are helpful ❤😊
Thank you Lisa 🙏☺️
31:50,It seems that every time you change provinces in China, your Alipy needs to re-enter your personal information. This is the information I received from a foreigner complaining about Alipy. So your Alipy is still usable in Chongqing, but you just need to reset the information.
欢迎来到重庆,祝你们有一个愉快的行程。
❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️
You two have a really positive attitude.
Thank you ❤️
If you have the chance, you must experience the China High Speed Rail (Fuxing) business class. It is comparable to the business class on an airplane. It is very high-end.
Nice vlog. I've been following your China adventure. Naomi is pretty.
❤️
"Naomi is pretty." I agree, and prettier daily😄
We were there in Chongqing last year October, great city and food and culture. Truly an architectural marvel.
However, Sichuan Province has a population of over 80 million people, so it's normal to see so many people in there.
love all ur videos, you guys are Kinda well-known on Chinese social media 😊
Thanks for being honest and authentic of showing China
U r all really lovely people hope u enjoy ur trip
China has more than 40 THOUSAND kilometers of high-speed rail.....
具体来说是45000㎞,高速公路是550万㎞,可以这样说你可以坐高铁去到中国任何地方😂
What other advantages besides long mileage? We use Shinkansen, which is 10 times better than China's😌😌😌

Falling behind your adventures as my life is very busy this time of year. Very smooth and calm for 350 kph. It sho as excellent engineering and well maintained tracks.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I live in a city in hainan and taking high speed train is my fave because of the village scenery too . So envious of the village life lol. I’d love to be able to take the train in mainland one day to enjoy the scenery like what you’re doing now. I am also afraid of taking plane so the train is just perfect
二位,动车或高铁的靠背,旁边有个机关按下都是可以倾斜,坐着会舒服一些~~
Do you still remember that when China had just built the high-speed railway, some westerners mocked that ordinary Chinese people couldn't afford it and worried about the occupancy rate?
That's the thing of people with capitalism mentality would never understand which is the government didn't build all these rail lines to make money.
西方人嘲笑中国的事,基本上现在的都被中国人实现并超越了,飞机,汽车,高铁,无人机。。。。所以美国人现在非常害怕只剩下无能狂怒了,只会加关税禁企业😂😂
The trains get close to European prices and over 200 stations were shut down.
@@dice138so China tries to be like Europe?
还有造谣没有靠背的,对说得就是你福建
Thank you for sharing your journey to the world, I’ve never been to Chongqing leave alone with high speed trains。
U will have fans in CQ for sure!!! Love Ur videos
Several sequences of Transformers were filmed in Chongqing, in Wulong District, Chongqing, which is a 4 to 5-hour drive from the city of Chongqing.
Amazing ❤️❤️❤️
China train is very good, whether high-speed or normal-speed
The high-speed train from Beijing to Shanghai will soon run at 400 kilometers per hour. Most other areas still run at 350 kilometers per hour.
Welcome to China!!! Hope your video can reach out to more people, and they will come to see China for themselves!❤❤❤
Really nice video. Thanks. Interesting that the signs in the train had all the info in English, but the signboards for non-Chinese document holders in the station weren't in English.
I'm really enjoying your vids, you're both so chill and easy to listen to, not obnoxious in any way, and just take things as they come.
Amazing places
33:29 The Chinese words on the yellow label at this place in the video are: Don't lower your head to play with your phone. It is to prevent some people from not paying attention to the wall above and hitting their heads. You are very tall, so this is to remind you to pay attention to safety. If you pay attention to this sign, you can still play with your phone normally.I hope you have a good time in Chongqing.
In Chongquing you be surprised to see the beautiful infrastructure
真遗憾你们没去川西,我去过很多大城市旅游,川西的景观是给我印象最深刻的地方。在四川上了四年大学,一旦有假期我都会去成都附近或者川西的景区
Thank you for sharing your true view of China 👍👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤❤
31:51 Next time when you guys having a payment problem for the subway, you can go check that glass office behind Naomi. (There's one in every subway station, so you don't have to worry about finding it.) Usually there are subway workers there to help you buy tickets. And it's usually faster than buying tickets at the machine. All payments are accepteble.
Calling China Mainland China is music to the ears to many Chinese.
Hi, I'm Malaysian Chinese, do you mind tell me why you like the phrase "Mainland China"? Is it because of Taiwan? Means that China include HK, Macau & Taiwan, and Mainland China only refer to mainland. Am I on the right track? Thanks !
@@schoo2894港澳一般用内地这个词,台湾则是大陆。不过楼主所指好像也包括了中国地大物博所以称为大陆的意思

Enjoy your stay in Chongqing the funky city with a lot to explore, like watching all your vlogs, Thank you for sharing with us
new adventure comes😊😊
The seat back can be adjusted a little further back. You may feel a little tired sitting like this. I saw that the seat opposite has a leg rest, which you can also open.
Beautiful high-speed rail & wonderful journey.旅途愉快
At about 17:50 you said it was hard to get blueberries in SE Asia. I am in Cambodia and I can get fresh blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries and cherries most of the time.
You might as well give the Business-class seat a try next time. It's very comfortable, comparable to the business class in an airplane.
I rode a train last year from Xiamen to Joujiang. The train past through numerous tunnels. Somehow I got the feeling that when there is a need for a railway from A to B, they just build it, tunnel through mountains in between, no matter how many or how tall there are.
Welcome to China! Greeting from Hong Kong!
I am sorry you got the seats which have a small part of window.
have a nice trip!
