Just saw this on my feed and took a double take! I literally live over the hill from the barn. My friend Shirley, was going to buy that teal and gold pillow for her living room but decided against it. I enjoy the barn, Sadler’s, just ate there yesterday, always delicious, and stop in to It’s So Ranunculus. Their flowers and gifts are spectacular! No one can compare to their talent. I did thoroughly enjoy your look of the barn. It has certainly changed over the 24 years I’ve lived here. Will definitely check out your other videos. 😉
It's been a number of years since I have shopped the barn. I especially enjoy it in Fall/Winter---so cozy and resplendent. Trouble with me is that I get overwhelmed. Glad I went along with you though.
The blue camel back sofa got me. It is gorgeous, and I love the teacup bird feeders. This store is a winner. Great video. Hi Licorice. You are such a handsome boy.
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! I need a bigger house so I can buy all of the furniture that I loved at that store - and especially the lamps! I'll tell Licorice you said hello!
Hi Kris, I've also been to the Barn, many years ago and enjoyed it. I like the necklace you picked up and the toile piece . If you haven't yet, there's an awesome antique place on the river in Collinsville...the name escapes me, but it's a couple of floors and surrounded by other little shops. There's also another one one the way there, and I think that one is actually called " Collinsville Antiques", and that oneee is nice too, but continue on into the center of Collinsville and you will find it by the Crown and Hammer restaurant. (Which is delicious, by the way). And if you keep going, into Riverton, you will find there many shops full of beautiful things too. Have a great day! Deb
I'm so glad you enjoy my videos! They're so much fun to make. I just got back from Salvation Army and Savers and came home with nothing. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.... 🤷♀🤷♀
I love needlepoint chairs too! I used to have a major thing for collecting antique chairs in general, especially chairs in the Eastlake style. I've learned to control myself, but I just collect something else in their place. 😂😂
Nice suggestions! I've never been to the Bethlehem flea market, although I definitely enjoy Collinsville. I'll add them to my "future videos" list! (Yup, I actually keep a list - nerd alert!) 🤓🤓🤓🤓
You have such great places to go out there. Nothing like that where I live in N Michigan. I became familiar with what you call a tulip vase a number years ago. I had heard them called finger vases. So this term was new to me. The barn has things I love and could dream on for hours.
I think you're going to need to plan a trip to New England! The Barn was the best store I've been to in quite some time. It's nice to step away from Goodwill and Salvation Army once in a while (although I find good things at those stores too).
Ditto on several years since I visited. I still have hanging above my fireplace a quality picture I bought there back in the late eighties and it still looks stunning. I will have to plan a day trip there! The pendant stone could be Howlite, a stone used a lot in place of turquoise. 🌼💜🥰
Wow! Sounds like you made an investment that stood the test of time! I hope you have similar luck if you end up going back. I don't often find so much high quality art work for good prices in a second hand store of any kind.
Love the necklace. And you did well with your other purchases too. There is a great store in Colchester CT, called Quality Consignment. There are a number of independent dealers who have booths selling furniture home goods , vintage and collectible. Very nice if you are in the area again.
Thank you so much for the tip! I'm definitely adding Quality Consignment to my list of places to check out. I SO APPRECIATE receiving recommendations for good stores. And I'm glad you liked my purchases! 😊😊
Hi Kris so glad you found the Shops at Marlborough Barn. Definitely one of my favorite places. I love the blue and white fabric on that runner you picked up. I agree it would be great to get more of it for another project. Sorry about your poison ivy! Also I think your chickens are very lucky to have a new addition ❤
Wow love the barn. I've never been there but what beautiful things. Thanks for sharing. I would use those clothes pins at xmas to pin vintage xmas cards on a string for display.
It's so worth the trip! Someone recently told me that it's beautiful around the holidays as well, so I'll be going back to check it out again around November/December for sure.
@@WorthingtonHome We made a plan to go this upcoming Wednesday! I want to get that lamp in your video it was orange and blue and I want to look at the love seat/sofa's.I can't wait!!
What a wonderful place! I looked it up and it’s only a little more than an hour from where I am in Massachusetts and I think it’s right up my alley! I see a roadtrip in my future. I love that you love toll- not a lot of us do!
If you check it out, I hope you'll tell me what you thought of it! Here's a tip - I'm told that Saddlers Ordinary (a restaurant) next door is very good.
Always loved going to Marlborough Country Barn. I'm glad they kept it going.
I can't believe I haven't been there before now! So much fun.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the vlog! The store was too good not to share!

You have a beautiful home and an eye for decorating

Thanks for joining me! I'll have to go back and do a winter visit - I bet they deck it out for the holidays.

Hi Deb I think you're thinking of Antiques on the Farmington
Thanks for the tip! I've been to Collinsville Antiques before, but I never did a video there. It would definitely be fun to do!
Oh my goodness! What a cool place! Thank you for sharing! You find the most interesting places! I also enjoy your goodwill and salvation army hauls.

Kris, I just found your Videos! Love them all. Fairfield, Connecticut have great “ Consignment shops & THIFT Stores!
I'm so glad you found me! Welcome to the channel! Do you have the names of some stores you would particularly recommend? I'd love some suggestions!

@@madeleine7377 THANK YOU! I just added them to my list of places to check out. I really appreciate you sharing the info!
My ALL TIME favorite place. ❤❤
I can definitely see why! I'll be back for sure!

You should go to the Bethlehem indoor flea market in Bethlehem CT! Or collinsville antiques in New Hartford CT!

Hi Laura! I can't seem to find a bolt of fabric that's the same - only runners and napkins. Frustrating! My chickens love their new space. ❤❤
Make sure you go to Sadlers - great food and the snickerdoodles are the best!
I've heard that! I'm definitely going to check it out, probably this fall. Thanks for the tip!
Kris, this was such fun. The Annex was my favorite building. ❤
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! The Annex was really beautiful. It was a pretty piece of property, too.

I went there several years ago … you have inspired me to make another trip
I'm so glad I inspired you! Definitely worth another trip.
Very nice❤

I would spend hours in a store like that!
It would be so easy to do! So much to see.
Loved the barn. Could have watched it for an hour.
