Good lord, so many of these could have been minimized by someone with the tiniest bit of spine. Uninvited guest with a camera? You put her out. Officiant inviting all and sundry to the reception? You interrupt him, politely say that there’s been a misunderstanding and the refreshments are for family only and post someone at the doorway to turn away freeloaders. Caterer shrugged over stolen money? You demand the identities of the employees who quit and whatever contact information for them the caterer has and turn those over to the police when you make your report. Why do people sit there and just let bad shit happen to them and go, “Oh well, we tell it as a funny story now…”
ETA: Groom with the groomsmen who blocked Grandma is how you do it!

My side of the family spiked the punch at the reception. His family was pentecostal. A good time was had by all. The next day his family were complaining about the food at the reception because they all had headaches.

Yeah, it's all funny until someone collapses because he takes medication that doesn't go well with alcohol.

The guy who sput on the pastor. I bet the pastor was grateful that turkey didn't spit on the bride.

    Story 16:
About the tip, I think you're actually very lucky you got "ONLY" 10%.
If it had been my wedding, I would have seriously considered whether to leave the tip or not.
If it had been my one of MY Daughter's weddings, I would have refused to pay a tip myself, or let them pay a tip.
ou should have taken the financial bit, the business side of the celebration into an office and where you'd ask Privately ask about the bill. PRIVATELY.
But NO, Somehow you made it so that everybody knew what was going on.
Praise Jaysus that you Only got ONLY 10%.

I'm Aussie. We don't do tips here in general. Our employers pay their workers. It's a rare occasion here to tip ppl. And honestly, I have no issue tipping for service above and beyond. I will not tip for standard service, as that is what the wage they recieve is for. And b4 you have a nasty opinion towards me..... our wages for the wait staff are much higher than in America. (Near $20)

Sounds like people forgot to plan ahead which is a common problem. Sounds like the venue learned from it. And, something bridal planners and podcast warn couples about too so they don't have to spend the day handing out payments because a lot of vendors expect payments on the day of the event. Plus, it's hard for staff to discretely talk to the couple when they are the center of everyone's attention.
