In 1991,When my oldest daughter and her younger brother came home excited that they had heard a song at a friend's house from a group "called Abber or something like that" I pulled out my "ABBA's Greatest Hits" record. They went crazy!! We all sat and listened to the whole album together. What a great bonding experience!! For weeks they played it over and over!😃🥰
hello again, nice to see you well, and with more ABBA songs! "Take a chance on me" (1978) is one of their best ABBA hits in all the world, the most selling song of ABBA in U.S. (more than Dancing Queen), #3 in Billboard U.S. and their seventh #1 in UK Official Charts This is one song than the vocals are more extensive than the music (They begin 'a capela' and singing at the end) the blonde Agnetha is the lead vocal, her voice is so powerful, in perfect armonies and chorus with Anni Frid in co-leads vocal (and the boys in back voices singing repetitive the frase 'take a chance, chance') Agnetha & Anni Frid have fantastic voices and harmonies together Agnetha is soprano Anni Frid is mezzo soprano and together made a 'Third voice' of ABBA the guitarist Björn got the idea while jogging, by the sound of the footsteps he interpreted t-k-t t-kt and adapted it to "take a chance", and that's why the song was born Although it is a disco pop, it is like a constant and happy march, captivating, cloying and addictive In the official video the absolute center is the girls, very suggestiv and the beginning is the same idea of the images in the TV serie "The Brady Bunch" A clarification: it was filmed a month after Agnetha's second motherhood, so She had not yet recovered Her pre-pregnancy figure (these is one of the songs that she recording pregnant) For a next reaction my suggestion is to continue with others ABBA worldwide hits, and #1 in UK Official Charts: Waterloo Mamma Mía Fernando Dancing Queen Knowing me knowing you The name of the game Take a chance on me The winner takes it all Super Trouper from these list, as You said that see the movie Mamma Mía, my suggestion is to the tittle track: "Mamma Mía" I wish you a greatest week My best regards from Buenos Aires, Argentina South América
I love ABBA! You have to watch the musical movie Mama Mia! (originally a Broadway show). The whole plot is written using ABBA songs-it’s so much fun! I know what I will be watching today! 👍❤️
I have seen the movie and I have to say its on my top 10 best movies! All because of the songs! I just know the songs from the movie though, its awesome seeing the originals 👏
I was a senior in high school when this came out. While I was more of a straight-ahead rock fan at the time, there was no denying how infectious the melody was and how awesome the harmonies were. I knew you would like those two things about it too, and the overall playfulness of it. After so many years, it was nice to hear it again and to see it through your eyes and ears as a first time listener. Thanks, Sarah.
A great reaction! More ABBA please - they have got so so many superhits! The harmony, no autotune with amazing lyrics/stories, relative texts to life and feelings. They play everything - pop, rock, disco, ballads, reggae, musicals, funky, etc. More this kind of style? Well - why not Gimme, Gimme, Gimme or Lay All Your Love On Me (right now a hit again with Zarah Larsson).
Take a Chance on Me. Is a song from January 1978. Take a Chance on Me has been widely regarded as one of ABBA´s finest songs. In 2017 Billboard ranked the song number two on their list of the 15 greatest ABBA songs. My Top 5. ABBA songs. 5. Eagle. 4. SOS. 3. When I Kissed The Teacher. 2. Knowing Me, Knowing You. And (Number One: Dancing Queen) 💯👍 ABBA´s Amazing songs will live forever! Thanks Sarah! For your reactions to ABBA!🙂
Yeah Sarah 👍🏻 i grow upp in this music era and music sounds is very important in my life ❤️👍🏻🇸🇪👁️ And i am so happy that it is recorded to the next and the next generation ❤️👍🏻 if it not was recorded how can i explain this to a person as never heard it huuuuh ❤️👁️👍🏻 SO LONG LIFE FOR THE RECORDINGS ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🌍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Catchy, playful, entertaining but hard professional (in a good way) song. That's ABBA. I'm not an ABBA-fan but I think there was/there is no other band like them.
Can you please play the song "Traces" by the 1960s band "Classics IV" ? I would appreciate it so much. It's a beautiful song that tugs on your heart strings. Thanks so much! 🥲
I really enjoy music from back then more than now. Majority of people these days use auto tune rather than take singing classes, use the computer to play "instruments" rather than learning how to play one. Most "music" these days is just trash and sounds the same.

They just transcend all ages and eras! My friend's granddaughter wouldn't listen to anything else when she was two! 🤗❤️

For me, this song stands for the teenage years when you fell madly in love every two weeks ;-)
I'm smitten by the "uh huh...yeah, yeah" background vocals. Dope as hell.
hello again, nice to see you well, and with more ABBA songs!
"Take a chance on me" (1978)
is one of their best ABBA hits in all the world,

the blonde Agnetha is the lead vocal, her voice is so powerful, in perfect armonies and chorus with Anni Frid in co-leads vocal (and the boys in back voices singing repetitive the frase 'take a chance, chance')
Agnetha & Anni Frid have fantastic voices and harmonies together
Agnetha is soprano
Anni Frid is mezzo soprano
and together made a 'Third voice' of ABBA
the guitarist Björn got the idea while jogging, by the sound of the footsteps he interpreted t-k-t t-kt and adapted it to "take a chance", and that's why the song was born
Although it is a disco pop, it is like a constant and happy march, captivating, cloying and addictive
In the official video the absolute center is the girls, very suggestiv
and the beginning is the same idea of the images in the TV serie "The Brady Bunch"
A clarification: it was filmed a month after Agnetha's second motherhood, so She had not yet recovered Her pre-pregnancy figure (these is one of the songs that she recording pregnant)
For a next reaction my suggestion is to continue with others ABBA worldwide hits, and #1 in UK Official Charts:
Waterloo
Mamma Mía
Fernando
Dancing Queen
Knowing me knowing you
The name of the game
Take a chance on me
The winner takes it all
Super Trouper
from these list, as You said that see the movie Mamma Mía, my suggestion is to the tittle track: "Mamma Mía"
I wish you a greatest week
My best regards from
Buenos Aires, Argentina
South América
Thank you very much 😊

ABBA, wholesome yet sexy, classy yet natural, unique yet catchy pop band,

ABBA was a awesome Swedish group back in the 70's. Enjoyed your reaction, stay happy and keep smiling lady. 🌹👍

You have amazing taste in music 🎶
I haven't been in what was West Germany since '92. There weren't any women like Sarah around. Interesting.

It was such a joy to watch you enjoy this song you are so beautiful like a angel you can tell your a beautiful soul
Yep
This gem is a 4 minutes rush of euphoric hormones in your system.
@@chadsummerchild3047 yeah it's quite addictive, Once you hear it and then sticks in your head.

muito bom !!!
Now try Mamma Mia, it´s a fun song!
All their songs are good musicals were made based on their songs Mama Mia and Mama Mia 2
What's really amazing is that the members of ABBA never learned English. They had to learn the words phonetically in order to sing in English.
I really enjoy music from back then more than now. Majority of people these days use auto tune rather than take singing classes, use the computer to play "instruments" rather than learning how to play one. Most "music" these days is just trash and sounds the same.
Hi
You got bitten by the ABBA bug.
