@@RidiculousTwo believe it or not, the Ascent, although the bigger ball, feels like my move left ball more than the Ion does. I feel like I can circle the lane with this ball without compromising any power downlane with how clean that R2S Cover is.
@ScottAndersonBowling I can see that. So maybe start a little straighter with the Ion then move to Ascent when it's time to open up some? I asked because both the Ion and Ascent are being compared to the IQ Solid.
@@RidiculousTwo for two different reasons though. Ion and IQ are similar in strength but different in shape. Ascent and IQ are similar in shape but two totally different stratospheres when it comes to overall reaction. I hope that helps.
Since you've been throwing the ascent, has the smell changed from birch beer to cream soda yet? Bc every storm person I ask says that storm is saying once it starts to absorb some oil it will smell more like cream soda lol.
@@thomasworrilow4228 to me, all those smells are similar, and yes this one is strong. BUT, if I’m going to be honest, the smell of my two Ion Pro’s in that bag overtakes the scent of the Summit aSCENT when I open it up 🤣
@@ScottAndersonBowling That's surprising. I thought the Idol was actually a step up from the Ascent and closer to the Phaze 2 and new Sublime Focus. Think I'll stick with XP for now as I do love that ball. Thanks for responding.
Just got the Ascent, I have not had a chance to put it on the lanes yet. Looking forward to rolling it.
@@UnderDawgsbowling love to hear it! Keep me updated!
Will do, what area (city/State)are you located in?
@@UnderDawgsbowling South Florida is the most I really say
So how would you slot the Ascent in your bag if you also had an Ion Pro? Start with Accent then move to Ion?? Or other way around??

@@ScottAndersonBowlingCould be worse, could be Ass-scent. You had to know that was coming. 😅
Would the Ascent be a good replacement for the OG Xponent? When I bought the XP it was supposedly a little stronger than the IQ Tour.
@@BigB_62 the Ascent is going to be a step up from the Xponent. The Optimum Idol might be closer to what you’re looking for.

@@BigB_62 no problem!
Is this ball stronger or weaker than the Idol Cosmos and Phaze II?
Stronger than the cosmos overall. Cleaner than the P2 with more backend
@@callXofXdutyXGuy yes!
