Great matches to open the season. Young Ryan Barnes, at age 21, steps up in his first TV appearance and buries the front 8. I'm sure we will be seeing him a lot more. It's fantastic to see not only his facial resemblance to his dad Chris, but when he settles into his approach, you see that little side to side hip wiggle, and it's like watching Chris Barnes as a young man. Amazing.
When Via went to Chris Barnes he said “you raised a great one”
He did indeed, much 🍀 to Ryan this year.
@@TDragon0617 Pretty disgusting and classless of all of Ryan's opponents to acknowledge Chris after each match, but completely ignore Lynda who was sitting right next to Chris.
Seeing Chris so happy and proud of his kid almost destroyed me... I lost my dad a couple years ago. I hope Ryan isn't taking any of these moments for granted. That goes for everyone else that still has one or both parents. Treasure that time (if the relationship permits, obviously, don't treasure and abusive relationship or anything like that.
My own father and I are estranged and I have not spoken to him in over 5 years. Very sad story. I also suffer from Asperger's syndrome which has made my life very lonely and difficult. That young man has none of the problems I have had and has a much better father than I did. I am very jealous of him.
I am so, so sorry to hear about that. :(
@@ConnorBrew19 Oh, no! I'm really glad she's still around! I feel so badly for the people that had horrible relationships with one or both parents or didn't know one or both of them. I can't imagine how horrible that must be. Pain and trauma are both relative, so it's not really helpful to compare situations, but as human beings it is very easy to do it.
I really hope you guys have much longer together.
It broke me for sure, I met Chris last month and he was incredibly kind to my young son. Made his day as well as mine. My son still brings it up at least once a week, I can't believe I got to meet Chris!
OMG watched his dad bowled growing up and now his son. That setup where he twist his hips is just like his dad.
I love how everything Ryan does (except the release) is just like his dad. Everything!
Thanks to whoever uploaded this broadcast. My local Fox station in New Orleans preempted the show because I guess they thought temperatures in the mid 60’s was severe enough that people wanted to see that for 2 hours instead of a major Bowling tournament.
Same here! They showed the news instead of the bowling!
@@SiezetheProBowlerit’s 0 degrees here in Michigan lmao
Now that’s cold. That’s why I live in the South 😂😂😂
@@playdiscgolf1546 Ouch! I live in the South as well!
There's like 500 tornado warnings every day in Louisiana. No surprise there
So high level battle‼️🤩👍
Like the announcer said , great sportsmanship by Chris Via! You love to see it
I think Ryan did the family proud. 😊
Ryan is definitely a generational bowler, he should do great in this sport.
He looks just like his dad
Good luck my brother Ryan
What a crazy last match
Interesting to see Barnes stick to the urethane for so long. Regardless, he had an impressive showing and i'm looking forward to seeing him in the future.
man match 1 and 2 are just better than match 3 and 4, like ryan barnes would of won match 3 if it wasn't for that 10 pin miss on frame one, but close match, that last match was so sloppy to watch, but bill did what he had to do so good game
@@foxwolf316 also o'neill had a fortunate brookyln that helped but overall bill had a better look accross the game so he did deserve to win whilst had ryan had more experience he would of switched to reactive faster
but overall great showing from ryan barnes
The reality was a little too strong and lazy but once he threw the phaze 2 on the left lane, I thought he would throw it on both lanes as good as it looked.
@@ripvanrevs ye def, reality was too early, if ryan had experience he would of switched to phaze 2 quicker and threw on both lanes
@@sh1nenkai258Ryan also missed a single-pin
Two hours to watch four games of matchplay, a handful of shots making the difference of tens of thousands of dollars after 48 games of bowling, and a commercial break jammed against a memorial for one of the most influential men in bowling ever while a young lad is on the front 5... Never change PBA!
I watched this over the air live. Thanks Fox!!!!
32:18 Was very impressive. He could take the pin behind the other pin, which is very difficult without hitting the front pin.
Yeah Ryan
Ive met Chris barnes hes really nice to talk to,
on Bills first shot, it kinda looked weird, but then he went full back at it, just like his form back in the good days, grats
35:04 baby spilt 3-10 for winners
like father like son.... good job Ryan~
😂😂😂😂😭😭😭😭😭
I’m hollering out loud! You wrong for that one.
Best Moment of Bill O'Neill. 34:36 PBA Tour Title Favorites PBA Pros
Hats off to Ryan Barnes, he bowled his heart out and almost had 300, great run kid. Congrats to the Real Deal for winning his 3rd major.
Thanks for uploading this!
Dear Fox, when editing the highlights, please dont cut the commentators off mid sen
It didn't take Bill 10 years to win another major, it took him 4 this time
What a great tournament to open the season! Two seasoned pros and three younger guys. One House Bowling/DMC/TV Bowling Supply member and one College star w/ HOFer parents. I was rooting for Chris and Ryan but had my money on Bill.
Keep airing the tournaments, Fox!
Great bowling Ryan and Bill!
31:53 That was me in the background saying "Come on, Tommy!"
Great 👍
25:10 The release and the strike were so smooth
Way to go Wild Bill
I've been removed from bowling for a little over a year now... I remember watching Ryan in videos while he was at Witchita State, and it's insane how quickly he jumped into the mix of pros.
He is still bowling at Witchita State
Dear lord watching these Urethane Battles is brutal
Ryan barnes gonna go great places
Stu stubler lmao
That’s the difference of missing a 10 pin and not missing it… 11 pins right there to win by 1 for the kid.
That comeback by Barnes might’ve been the 2nd or 3rd biggest comeback in PBA TV history.
Hate to see Ryan lose on a Brooklyn in the 9th to O'Neil.
Strange pin action. Seems more explosive than I can recall. Have they changed anything with the pins lately?
dem pros hommie
The speed and revs these modern pros create have a much heavier influence on the pins. Plus the equipment is much stronger
I was thinking the same
Been waiting to see Young man on TV. Great job.
So interesting seeing the different types. Even the pins falling sound unique between them all
@31:54 You did not just say that..... LOL!!
Randy, I love you! You're the man!
I didn't quite catch what he was saying that in reply to. Did Smallwood let out a snarky comment in relation to the Brooklyn? Or was it to something else I didn't catch?
@@TADMGJohn Fanta stealin' Rob Stone's 'HAMBONE'!
@ubermo1182 ahh gotcha, I guess that went over my head lol.
1 handers
Good job, Ryan.
Always a big fan of Bill O'Neil😂
Absolutely loved the kid's process. Even when he was locked out, he stayed committed and learned. He will not be denied again.
So happy for dad. Class act. Great coach. Xo❤
Fox should just stick to sports reporting and not politics
I really dislike the 2 hand release
That's pretty COOL! 😎
Wait Rob is not going to comment pba right?
Too cool
Nepo Baby
Barnzy is cute
Didn’t even get to watch this live because my news station wanted to broadcast how to make bell pepper sandwiches.
They make it look too easy
Chris Barnes sittin next to the Cyprt Keeper!
Alright Ryan - Lack of sleep - is just a warriors way to win - let's get it done! Win our lose outstanding performances!
same ball, same line
Why is Ryan Barnes in the touring players championship? I thought he was in college?
Wait a minuet that is no Rob Stone who is it instead?
John Fanta.
@@NateCraven318 I have not heard of him.
@@NateCraven318The same guy in 2023 Elias Cup play-around match
And in parts of the 2023 PBA players championship and the PBA LBC national championship…
I would rather take a hacksaw to my nuts than listen to this guy anymore.
America is rooting for Ryan!
❤❤❤AWESOME ❤❤❤
Good job Ryan
Congrats Bill
Ryan had a good showing also he looks like the king from mister roger's neighborhood👑👑
Resemblance is scary
I can relate to Bill O’Neill of how he bowls. I bowl exactly like him. I keep the bowling ball down at my waist though but O’Neill and I bowl the same style.
But awesome job by Ryan Barnes though.
Barnes is gonna be a fun one to watch in the future
"hambone" ...you did not just say that😂
Is every pba player 2 handed now?
Omg🔥🔥
double hand = no
말같지도 않은소리 하고있네 본인 투구폼이 더 no다 틀딱아대아재
Watched the first two bowlers throwing with two hands and that was enough. Next video.
Love that. Great job Ryan!
Woods choked bad
Sucks
Experience wins here. Head game
Man Ryan will be a force. His first match with Chris stone cold.. a lil bit more exp and he gets his nerves in check he’s good.
분명 투핸드인데 같은 반즈라고 준비자세가 똑같냐 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
300
21 years old and has a comb over all ready.
Disrespectful to the dad single hand to double.
Belmo, Watch O'Neill for the win and the second dinner will be served.
If Ryan had switched a little earlier he might have won the whole thing. Grats Bill!
Why do bowlers "re-rack"?
when pins are off spot; sometimes, there are vibrations caused by the machines that cause the machine to push the pins off spot, so the players want a rerack because they probably won't get fair pin action when hitting the pins
I don’t really like Ryan’s attitude… he’s perceived as cocky
🔥🔥🔥🔥
*I A M R Y A N B A R N E S !!*
*H E A R M E R O A R !!* 🎉❤

父や家族の応援は最強だと思うし、微笑ましいな。
若きピートウェバーの時もそうだった
The setup from Ryan is look so much like his father
Chris must find it funny his kid is a 2-hander. Chris Barnes has one of the smoothest 1-handed styles
Nate looks mad.
😡
Smalls still made money! 💰
Ryan is going to make some noise for quite a few years to come I bet.
Barnsy let's gooooo
Wayne Webb pattern I missed it
Maybe Barnes should have stayed with urethane. He lost his way after the switch.
構え方が本当親父にそっくりだな
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS JINXES...........THINGS ARE GOING TO HAPPEN REGARDLESS OF WHAT YOU SAY OR DON'T SAY
