I noticed Rash has a small span on his i wonder if he is using the same or a semi. I wonder also if that helps the ball stay on the hand longer. I tend to stop my ball on or before the foul line or throw behind me happened a few times and boy is that embarrassing

@@leeevans1102 Charles usually hits his with 2 or 3 thousand, I didn’t change anything with this layout after I plugged it and redrilled it. Straight back to factory finish (as best as I could)

@@Gblood13 wow good question… 1. Ion Pro 2. Physix Blackout 3. Attention Star 4. Depends on your house tbh, big pearl or hybrid here can work But the first three should work on anything house related and fresh. No order necessarily.

@ our house shot is 2022 Kegal 2022 starting house pattern I’m in Vegas now. So what would be the 4th ball in this scenario? Thanks so much really helped me out.

@@Gblood13 unfortunately without bowling in it, it’s hard for me to say…but an Optimum Idol is a safe bet

@@BARBELLS-AND-BUDS I’m not sure if they have the option to increase the volume that much. But yeah, the balls now are just so much different.

@ I’m low rev matched. I leave a lot of flat 10s with the optimum idol Pearl and attn star. Tried all kinds of surface issues. Both seem to be too forward. Do you think a diff layout would help or just get a ball that continues more? Star is 60 x 4.5 x 30 and idol 4.5 x 20

@ I’d go a tad more surface on the Optimum Pearl so it doesn’t lock up and try that on the fresh. Maybe 2,000 grit. Let me know what happens when you try that and if it’s still the same issue then we can work on layouts.

@@Mityob67 that’s a brilliant idea, it’s just hard to justify what could be done with them. I usually end up donating to youth bowlers.

@@Moose_3BGbowling sometimes I find it hard to disagree. Just have to find a PSO that steers you in the right direction for yourself and not the shop.

@@stormb28 I think more bowlers need to understand that some balls aren’t going to be meant for every situations. It’s like tools in a toolbox, some tools are used more than others, but that doesn’t mean you get rid of the old tools you don’t use as much!

@@chrismagory9423 that’s a very tough question because the technology is much different. The newer ball would end up seeming stronger but the Synergy has sightly stronger numbers.

@@sgtmac62 hey thanks for asking! So when playing a lane, there are a lot of variables at play. We all have an “A” game because that’s what best suits our physical abilities. Match up our “A” games with the ball we were throwing plus the lane surface we were on and that lead us to doing what we did. You wouldn’t want to watch someone test drive a Porsche and never leave a parking lot would you? Same idea. The ball has a purpose, so we showcased its purpose, especially in our hands.

@@RidiculousTwo I think the Origin fits the same slot but for two different types of bowlers. I’d look for something a tad more downlane to transition to like a Vebo or Attention Star

My issue is not being able to see the mark in that lighting. I prefer TV and music when I bowl. Wish the house played music during league.

@@Swamprowdy so this might sound kind of crazy, but I don’t look at an exact mark. It’s a long story, but a lot of higher end bowlers are more feel based than focused on splitting boards.

I own the s2 as well... id very much like to know that response. Fyi though... I brought my surface up to 3k on my s2 because of my low ball speed.

@@smseah7680 this ball would be better for fresh. Not as quick downlane and more useful when the back part of the lane is “crispy” 😂

@@smseah7680 I think the S2 is a tad quicker downlane and would deal with oil transitioning downlane better.

@@Dragonphist1 just regular finger tape that comes in a roll. Not sure what it’s called but I cut three pieces to cover my fingers due to me being conventional.

@@smseah7680 I hit it very quickly with 3,000 but it shined itself back up very quickly

@@vincePaolotto the surface and patterns we bowl on make all the difference apparently. Down by me we have a ton of early friction that prevents the ball from making that violent turn down lane

@@Vietboy004 if it’s the original, consider adding a 2,000 surface to it. If it’s this one, make sure it’s drilled properly and for you specifically.

@@mervangenius I think the surface change helped bring the shape of the reaction closer together, one just obviously stronger than the other

@@smseah7680 the cover makes a giant difference. The Absolute has that R2S deep cover that was extremely clean and the ball came polished. This is a different animal completely and is meant more for fresher conditions.

@@ScottAndersonBowling Thanks for the reply. I look forward to your video on the Origin ball. Looking to add one of either S2 or Origin to my bag of Absolute and Xponent Pearl. Normally, I carry 2 plus spare ball. Not sure which is a better fit.

I would recommend the opposite actually. The Clone is meant more for fresher conditions and the AI is meant more for when the lanes breakdown and you have to move further inside.

@@addictedTobowling that’s a good question. I would say an Ion Pro would be a great ball to fit between them. It’s a tad earlier than the Blackout and longer and cleaner than an Exponent.

@@smseah7680 that’s very interesting that you say that. The Absolute is a cleaner surface which should help you as you move left, but there’s a chance it wasn’t drilled strong enough. Make sure you ask your PSO to put a stronger layout on this ball if you want to be able to move left and still not lose any hitting power.

@@sprintcarguy03 it takes the ball, helps remove how clean it is so it doesn’t get too far past the break point, and mellows out the downlane reaction a little bit. Pretty much improves its predictability.

@@gregcochennet385 I recommend just making sure you keep the Idol Pearl polished as much as possible. At least once every 2-3 weeks depending on how much you bowl.

@@BigB_62 I’m not extremely familiar with dual angle, but a lower pin will help calm that reaction down. Something directly under the bridge would do the trick.
