You know I have been watching JR for a long while now and I have never appreciated his personality. I just don’t always like him. But that’s okay because I’m not married to him….and he is the best ball reviewer I have found. He explains everything,as he goes, in clear concise terms. You instantly understand what a ball is doing. As well his instructional videos are very top notch. He again makes it all understandable and clear. He even explains things as they relate to different bowlers. You and I do not bowl the same and he gets that. Now, if I can get him not to whine so much out on the road. Sorry JR, I still love you.
JR a buddy of mine who is a consistent 225-230 average year after year on any condition is having a feel issue, he would like the new modern high caliber bowler pitches that lot of pros are doing including yourself with the fit for feel to get todays pro release to allow him to really dominate the league. Can he contact you about it ?
Are you working on throwing it slower lately, J.R.? Looks like you're finessing it to try to eliminate that sharp entry angle these newest AI balls all seem to have. I'm trying the same strategy out here on the PBA50 regional tour. Can't just chuck it at 17 mph and expect it to shape properly anymore.
How does the ION Pro compare to the Xponent, which was touted as a really good benchmark ball last year? I actually picked up the Xponent, and am wondering if the ION Pro is different enough to looking at getting as well.
I asked that question on another channel and this is the response I got: "Good question. I'd say the Xponent is almost a lateral move off the Ion. Meaning, it's about the same level of strength, but just a different shape. The Xponent gets into a roll a bit slower than the Ion, and is less responsive down lane... so they can weirdly play off each other nice as compliments."
Bought this and the ION Max. This ball is great but it seems to need to be tilted. throwing up the boards seems to be late. Standing 20 and pushing 12-8 seems like a great angle on a normal house shot. Great video.
That’s for all the information some things to think about
ION vs TDX is the question that is burning in my mind, since they share a common design DNA.
Really like JRs reviews. I know its not hyped with a drink of kool-aid. Appreciate the honesty.
Hey JR, I like the new video format, but remember on the selfie vids to use mirroring so you are not backwards.

Great looking ball
Looks like an awesome piece - I’d get it if I didn’t already have a phaze II and iq tour.
Very nice ball
Love the review always great info. Can you review the buzzer beater red?
Yes I can. Being posted in a few minutes actually

Good question. I haven’t used the exponent line or even reviewed them but I’d say the ion would be stronger

@@BigB_62 Thanks! This helps a lot.

you said the ball is symethrical??? the ball has a mass bias marker right on the ball, .014
He said Asymmetrical
I thought I heard that too but I went back and he said Asymmetrical. Not A symmetrical
Looked good in the “ benchmark” zone and then some. Just not made to go all the way to the ball return that’s all
I was looking at this ball but it’s concerning that people compare it to an iq tour which was by far the worst bowling ball I’ve ever purchased.
That's about just needs more surface
