I've been wanting to see if 255/80r17 (33x10) would fit on a stock Silverado. 255 is 10" instead of 12.5, so about 1.25" less width on either side than the 33x12.5. Stock LT are 265/70r17 (10.5x31.5). I think this video shows me that they'll fit as 1.25" / (1/2^.5) = 0.88" more clearance at 45 degrees on a 10" vs a 12.5". Always preferred tall skinnies or pizza cutters anyway. In 255/80r17 there are Falkland AT4W with 3-ply sidewalls. Wish there was something 3-ply and lighter but keep having sidewall issues, so will probably go with those. KO3 are supposed to be in that size but are not out yet.

@@MUD365op Respectfully disagree. The reason to get a truck is to throw stuff in the bed or tow. The reason the back is up a couple inches higher is so when you fill the bed or hook up a trailer, it doesn't look like you're dragging the rear of the vehicle down the highway. Springs are designed for a certain weight, and for them to be higher when not loaded is normal and shows you have room to add weight.
