    I’ve gone through about ten rear wheels. Have been trying to figure out a way to do this at home with no tools, if you guys want the same thing but for free, (if you have everything) you can bolt your sprocket directly to the hub, it will have to be a disc brake hub however so the bolts can go into the hub itself, you must drill and tap the holes if they don’t match and line up

    What keeps it from slipping and breaking the spokes? I don’t care how tight you get it on the hub a sudden jerk will make it slip in my opinion

    after 48 gruelling hours of grinding on the the solution for slipping hub adaptors, I have reached a conclusion: bike hubs vary in real-life actual diameter. however,...a precise, cnc-machined hub adaptor clamp is ex-actly 1.5", every time, without fail. everybody knows bike parts/materials can vary between manufacturers, and can even vary from lot to lot from the same manufacturer. soooo,...…. the hub adapter that slips a lot on joe's 1-1/2" hub could very well fit perfectly onto MY 1-1/2" hub and never slip once ever. all hubs are not perfectly sized. the only solution that can and probably will work for just about all cases of slippage is: sanding down the 2 flats where the adaptor clamp halves meet. a little. and removing 1/8" from both clamp bolts to ensure they are not bottoming out. when I heard about the coke can shim fix, it all came together because the shim fix can ONLY mean one thing: his clamp isn't/wasn't tightening down all the way/bottoming out against itself before optimal clamping force is attained. ill put it this way: when those 2 clamp halves come together and touch, youre not getting any more clamping action/force,... whether it's tight enough or not,.... no matter how hard you turn your wrench.

    Before I attach the adapter, I take a meaty(cours) file and scrape in all directions on inside of adapter . Also slightly more gentle I do the same to the hub itself. But remember we are not sanding. They grip a lot better in my opinion. Good luck.

    • @randomweirdo4467
      @randomweirdo4467 ปีที่แล้ว

      100% It won't just bend them either it will destroy them. It won't hold still ever, you can sand and file and Dremel all the parts, you can resort to the addition of multiple set screws it will still spins. It's dangerous and shitty. The design flaw is that it reduces 9 areas of torque to 3 areas of torque it exacerbates the very problems it aims to solve and adds a risk of serious injury that doesn't exist with the rag joint. If you want a similar setup that won't get you killed get a rear wheel from a disc brake equipped bike and use it's hub as a mounting point it's far better and retains 6 points of contact vs 3.

      Make sure there’s a small gap between the halves after tightening. Inspect frequently 3 points that attach to gear for it being up against spokes. If so recenter.

    Instead of the clamp being a circle it should be square, that way it bites down on the hub. If you think about it there is not much adjustment with a circle shape, if you make it square it will fit almost any size hub and would be able to tighten down.

    I see so many people using coaster brakes on motorized bikes and I just shake my head, it doesn't take much to rip the guts out of one and these fools don't even run a front brake! It's really simple to add a disc to these sprockets, and can be done for under $45, I run a 30 tooth sprocket and a 203mm disc and can lock up the rear wheel at 50mph, I run a 160mm disc in the front and use a dual pull lever adjusted at 60percent rear and 40percent front, some people say it should be the other way around but through my experience the way I have it works best and safest.

      You're right, even though this part is an awesome upgrade it does slip for some people, leading to the thing bending or breaking spokes... theres a video where a guy creates a groove in the part and also the hub and installs a keyway... but your idea of just drilling a hole that goes through the hub adapter and axel would be easier... don't know if there's something important running through the center of the axel that would prevent you from doing that though... in any case check out this video th-cam.com/video/JL28GtEw3LE/w-d-xo.html

They have no fucking clue what U want... take your bike throw it in the shit can or order one of my 2 cycle gas bikes... You choice..

    Okay, I can not find these sprocket options from manic mechanic. I have an old 1998 giant warp without rear suspension. I plan on mounting a Honda 50cc under the main bar. And a rear fuel tank or on motor tank not sure. I want it to climb hills as steep as possible. I want it to not need oil in the gas. And I want to make it 50k miles durrable. Which may be impossible on this bike. I may need to buy the $1500 honda 50cc. Oh and I gotta keep it legal... As best can be for all 50.

      Na, half of my purpose is to be SHTF compliant. The ammount of solar pannels at a low weight to charge an E-bike an extra 100 miles vs. Bringing a few gallons of gas or even siphoning in a war time scenario is much more practical for a prepper. This Dec 10th is the third blood moon which happens every 10,000 years. Russia and Germany also launched a satellite that can 100% track every black hole in the entire universe. I have also been playing games with Asians online my whole life and as of recent the majority say- "fair" "population" "kill" "pinapod" (a Japanese engineered pod made for the maximum ammount of pain inflicted while keeping the subject alive.... These kinds of things. The answers to these questions are all over the board. From potential attacks on less developed nations to taking down America if we try and get involved above our own needs. But lottsa smart little people are hungry and looking for a solution beyond their own boarders. Which have been used half effectively to the max. While skyscrapers and aquafarm technology exists from the push world wide, to build bunkers that can sustain eternity. The time needed to educate and build is not there. On top of a planet that is dieing from overpopulation and a chance to balance it engineering from the ground up, a lot of emotion is stacking on top of starvation and despiration leading to 1 most likely conclusion. A promose of eternal life (no end for life in the cosmos) and WW3. Which will validate the Bible and bring a retranslation into the One World Religion... And this all sounds insane. But ploy or reality it seems bombs will drop in the next 12 months.

    • @kevinmiller5510
      @kevinmiller5510 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No apparent end- We already know the expansion of the sun will swollow the earth in 300k years. And heat it up gradually between now and then.
      We also know Messer 60 (undetermined) will and Sagatarious will collide with the Milky way in 3.5million years.
      We also are understanding the physical nature of black holes which dispute many claims of an internal celestial black hole created by man.
      Obama said, in 2020, the US will fall as the worlds top economic super power, and be overridden by China.
      Many Bible scholars say the 3rd world war is not stated as the destruction of Babylon (America). That it "falls" before it is destroyed and estimates have been placed at 700 years from now. But to be the first nation to be destroyed.
      Just to fill in a little background for fun.
      In addition. People dispute the Bible. However there are 4 translations that mean totally different things we made 1 word. God. Just the word "God" alone in the Bible is a mistranslation which included Eloheim, Yawee, The King, and your personal leader or mentor. The whole thing was written about Eugenics, getting along, and telepathy. The words Heaven and Hell are also mistranslated. Many people who have recieved multiple possible translations of the book will tell you it never promises life after death. It provides keys to personal success and success for humanity.
