Appoint of Supreme Court judges in India is explained in this video. The process of appointment of Supreme Court Judges in India needs an explanation because the procedure has a history. The original constitutional provision and the current practices are different since there were different interpretations by the court and by the government from time to time. The president of India appoints the judges to the Supreme Court of India after consultation with the Chief Justice of India and other judges of the Supreme Court. The word "consultation" was redefined from time to time through the three judges' cases. This video explains the history of issues related to the appointment of judges in the supreme court of India. the collegium system is explained in detail. Along with these, the National Judicial Appointment Commission is also discussed. The positive and negative aspects of the current collegium system are also explained in the video.
