    Left a comment earlier now it’s gone. Anyway great job looks natural. Shows a lot of dedication and patience

      Hi there, what did your comment say? I’ve certainly not removed or deleted any comments not even the negative ones. Thanks for your positivity. I’ve spent many hours working on it. I’ve now sanded down and will look at staining today if I can mix up a colour that I like. Then I will finish with tru oil which I’ve ordered. It’s a great product from Birchwood Casey. I’ve used it before on another airgun that I’m yet to do a video on. But that video will be coming up

      @@Waxmax You should make your own business with fitting real wood grips for CO2 guns. Because unfortunately most of them have poor plastic grips.

      A great idea but wouldn’t be economically viable. The time it takes and the money it would cost or I could charge and what limited people would spend/think it’s worth. Put it this way; I have spent at least 15 hours alone on the m29 ones! Crazy

      Thanks Rune. Been doing a bit of sanding since that video. It’s all shaped nicely now and the co2 removable grip is on and a good fit. I have used a metal pin as a locator and have a magnet on order which will be the fastener. Might see about mixing a stain tomorrow. I’m very pleased so far. Just hope I get a good stain in nice colour. Need to think about whether to use tru oil once stained. It gives a beautiful gloss finish. But I’m still debating. I have loads of screenshots of model 29s grips I’m using as reference. They all look to be lacquered grips. Will see what I think once the stain is on

      @@Waxmax It sure looks good. I had a S&W 686 back in the 1980s. Beautiful wood grip. Think it was laqured/varnished and had a shiney look. Keep up the good work. Cheers from Norway

      Oh the good old days before strict gun controls. I can see why it had to happen but perhaps gone a bit over the top. I never had a real firearm although I have used a few many years ago. I had, going back a lot of years, a couple of Brocock airgun revolvers. They were the air cartridge ones if you remember them. A pain to charge each cartridge as back then you had to use a stirrup pump and it was a real workout with many pumps for just one cartridge. They were beautifully made guns. Amazing in fact. They were soon outlawed in the UK as apparently people were converting them to fire live rounds. So I lost mine like so many others. Meant to be a lead ban coming our way too!! Where the hell will it all end. Wish I could stay living in the 80’s!!

    I would like a pair of those woodgribs for my revolver, that would be Nice.

      You should get some. Come from handicraft grips in Thailand. Needs to do lots of mods to make them fit though

    The right grip -- ok, you screwed it to the metal handle, but how will you keep the left grip steadily?

    • @Waxmax
      @Waxmax  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good question! I have already fitted a metal dowel rod. That alone creates a good solid fit with zero movement. However, I will be fitting one more and also a magnetic fastener which will be sunk in to the inside of the grip. The dowels will keep its place whilst the magnet will keep the grip on

    Great job, impressive
    I saw on the last video you put resin uv inside the original plastic grip
    Do you put it inside right and left side of the grip ?
    I will be curious to know the weight compared to the finished wood grip ?

    • @Waxmax
      @Waxmax  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, thanks for your comment. What you saw was actually hot glue. It certainly made the grips more sturdy and stopped that annoying creaking. The original grips would be a bit heavier than the wooden ones I’m guessing as they had the hex key tool fixed to it. The glue also added weight. If I can find my scales I will include a weight difference on my next video for you.

      @@Waxmaxoh thanks a lot for the detailed answer
      I receive mine ( 3" 4.5mm) tuesday
      I will use pellets even if this is the only size who has no riffles barrel
      Of what I read even with the 4.5mm BB's shells that will be ok but I will test also with bb's
      I will do the easy changes in a first time and maybe if i find the power not enough, i will try the drilling but the problem is that the only seller of the complete valve is in UK (and out of stock) so no room for error
      I thought ther will be m29 parts in french store or Europe stors but apparently even on ebay there is no modding for this m29/629
      Thanks a lot for yours videos,that helps a lot 🙂

    • @Waxmax
      @Waxmax  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi there, I’m guessing you found Bagnall & Kirkwood website which is the only place in UK that I have to sell parts for the m29. I just looked on there and they are indeed out of stock of the valve assembly. I might have bought the last one. Sorry about that. I’m sure they will be getting more in. However. I’m sure you won’t need one. Don’t bother drilling the holes in the valve itself to start with. That is very tricky. It takes a lot of time and precision and the drill bit needs to be about 1.5mm. They break easily. And you have to drill at an angle whilst avoiding contact with the valve seat lip. The easiest way to increase the power is to drill the main assembly which is the aluminium part. Just take your time. Use the size drill bits mentioned in my video and start small and build up 0.5mm at a time. If you do decide to drill it. Go and buy new bits. Keep the hole lubricated and take your time. Don’t build up too much heat and keep cleaning the swarf out the hole and off the drill bit. As for the shells, I have both the bb and pellet ones. I have looked through an eyeglass at both types seals. They are the same apart from the colour. I will be doing a video shortly and I will try and show you what I mean. Basically, they both work with either ammo

      @@Waxmax hi!
      So i have drill the main assembly exactly the way you explain and that’s perfect, almost sure 4.5mm will be ok but i have stoped to 4mm
      I also drill the "brass" screw a bit but less than you
      I have not drill the 2 holes in the valve ,don't know if i loose a lot...
      Thanks a lot for taking the time to answer my many questions on yours very informative videos 🙂🙏
