been listening to ZZ Top since 1972's Rio Grande Mud...which contains my all-time favorite song by them, "sure got cold when the rain fell" (that original mix is the BEST)...and it never gets old, never gets boring, just plain rocks.
I've been totally obsessed with ZZ Top since "Stages" back in late 80's. I am truelly sorry for losing Dusty Hill . But he's been living in my heart forever!Just excuse my poor English pls.
As a native English speaker, I can say your sentence construction and spelling were perfect. Especially the contraction of I have and he is. Kudos. And of course superior taste in music. There ain't nothin' better than that little band from Texas.

As a freshman in high school, in Pasa-getdown-dena, circa 1969-70, I got to see the Top around town some. A couple of my buddies, who had a band, went over to Billy's house to try out his Marshall head, which he had put up for sale. Gibbons played "Brown Sugar", and they bought the amp... "Brown Suger" is not the same song as the Rolling Stones' tune. It, also, predates it... @@buzzedalldrink9131 well, Dusty’s replacement was their guitar tech for about 20+ years. He had been sitting in for Dusty, at Dusty’s insistence, for about year off and on when Dusty couldn’t be there. So, I think your anger is a bit misplaced
@@jerryhorton5708 I don’t know where you’re getting anger from my point is it’s extremely disrespectful. Dusty was a third of the band when he died. The band died the carry-on just for money that you don’t need is nothing but greed.
Love ZZ Top. You never know what you will see. The fell holding the longhorn is Ralph Fisher my sort of neighbor. He also had the buzzard, Oscar that traveled with the band during the World Wide Texas Tour. He has some good stories!
So glad the boys did these remakes. Some guys are complaining because its slower that the original and it is, but the video oozes with history. Fandango was one of the first albums I bought. So many awesome memories. I saw ZZ at Red Rocks for the Eliminator Tour when the car came up out of the stage. That's about all I remember... lol. RIP Dusty.. Keep on rocking Billy!
raised on zz since my 1st album in 73 (tres hombres) to fandango to deguello. got to see them in allentown pennsylvania on the deguello tour in 79 with humble pie opening the show. zz hit the stage bout 9pm to temperature of 105. great memories.....
ZZ Top "fandango" is still a great album! They open with "Thunderbird" hard and fresh! Much younger, they had grit and edge. Billy Gibbons has always been a gunslinger guitarist, albeit not so much in later years! Billy, Dusty RIP, and Frank, break in to the song "Beer Drinkers and Hell Raisers" or "Tush" and they could really lite up any party or stage!
Nothing has or EVER will replace ZZ TOP as a top rock n party band . The sound those 3 produced unbelievable. ZZ TOP RAN THRU MY 8 track until cassettes then cds and now digital. Awesome . Saw them in 1980 and 81. Primo good time.
Used to catch em playing for free Sundays at the hill in Hermann Park or Strawberry Park in Pasadena. They were just trying out the band to see if it would work. God I'm old. Never thought I'd make it so far I'd be alone.
It was awesome seeing Billy again without his beard... I remember the first time they came to Indianapolis... Billy with his Cowboy hat, no beard and they flat BLEW-AWAY The crowd and other headliner bands (Pink Floyd, Steve Miller Band, Quick Sliver Messenger Service and Savoy Brown) that night..
In February 1970, Vaughan joined a band called Liberation, which was a nine-piece group with a horn section. Having spent the past month briefly playing bass with Jimmie in Texas Storm, he had originally auditioned as bassist. Impressed by Vaughan's guitar playing, Scott Phares, the group's original guitarist, modestly became the bassist.[24] In mid-1970, they performed at the Adolphus Hotel in downtown Dallas, where ZZ Top asked them to perform. During Liberation's break, Vaughan jammed with ZZ Top on the Nightcaps song "Thunderbird". Phares later described the performance: "they tore the house down. It was awesome. It was one of those magical evenings. Stevie fit in like a glove on a hand."❤❤❤
oh yes can say that a couple times , not that those 3 80s albums are awful but those 6 first albums leave them with doors blown....when we fire up the turntable nothing after deguello gets touched !

Saw them in ‘74 in Amarillo, TX with Sugarloaf and Billy had no beard! Started listening when Rio Grande Mud came out in about ’71 and loved them ever since!
Nowdays, everybody has went crazy. Who cares about technical playing if it doesn't bring joy? I only listen to great music that takes feel and developing a style of playing that makes us feel. I love ZZ Top. They play music that brings a great feeling to everyone 😁
After missing ZZ Top in Chicago in early 1980, I was able to see them in Plant City, FL on Mar 4th 2024, over 44 year wait. I always queue them up when making tacos. 😊
Awesome Band. Log time ago, I crossed Texas using I-10 and I only thought about two bands... ZZ Top and Steve Ray Vaughan. Lol. Love this guys. Reggards from Brazil.

I saw them in 1975 in DeKalb, Illinois. Tickets were $2 and they played for almost three hours. Best $2 I spent for a long time.
Thee BEST Blues Rock Band that ever walked the planet! Billy and the Boys are pure genius. RIP Dusty Rhodes
