Southern Rock will never die!
Country music died in 2007. It's done
@@moviedevonk that wasn't meant to be country. It was straight-up Southern Rock.
@@denniseaton8136 Southern rock,i love it like i do old time country but modern country, not so much. Blue grass can be a jam, too.
@@moviedevonk Why?
Country music died with Urban Country in 1980.
Proof that the old rockers still RULE when it comes to music today. That's why they save them til last and everyone ROCKS. Glad I was able to grow up with these guys. Rock on gents.
Hell Right!!!❤
What a pity that they murdered a fantastic J J Cale song and turned it into musak. If you really liked this song in its original form it’s on TH-cam. This is just noise.
That’s not Lynyrd Skynyrd. That’s a Skynyrd cover band and Billy gibbons.
@@jamesd7495 - I was trying to figure out who from Skynyrd was in this group of musicians. Only one I could see was Ricky Medlocke, the one with the explorer. He was better known as the lead guitar and singer from the band Blackfoot . He became a Skynyrd replacement but was their original drummer when they were in high school in Jacksonville, Fla. That was pre fame with their Pronounced album in Muscle Shoals, Ala. Medlocke and Johnny Van Zant have been with other replacement Skynyrd's for a long time.
As luck and history would have it, I got to see a show of the pre plane crash originals twice in 1976. One at the Memphis Liberty Bowl stadium. Show was opened by The Outlaws, 2nd was Blue Oyster Cult, 3rd was Lynyrd Skynyrd and 4th was ZZ Top headlining. Still have the ticket stub, price for that show was $10.00.
Saw them both last year and they were excellent 🤘🏻
Fantastic 😎👏👏
Southern Rock will never die ‼️
Remember, it's all we got left. Enjoy it while you can!
STAGE FULL OF THE MOST AWESOME OLD DUDES KNOWN TO THE MUSIC INDUSTRY!!!!!!!!!!! LLLLLLEEEEETTTTSSSSSS GGGGGOOOOO
Great artists... The best is your opinion
ZZ Top - one of the best R&R bands ever. Just a little ol’ band from Texas.
Timeless music. Keep on truckin guys.
🎸🎸 👊😎 🎸🎸
*Lynyrd and ZZ, two of the Greats!*
yes they are. I saw ZZ Top live in concert in Spokane Washington and they killed it. so good.
and the song written by JJ Cale!
GREAT Driving Song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ahhhhh, how many guitars do we need for this song? All of em!
Lynyrd Skynyrd forever the best!! Love you guys.
Hell Yeah!!! The way music was meant to be PLAYED. Rock on!!!! Old School.
more talent on that stage than every winner of a Grammy in 2024 combined.
Damn straight
All the new artists, all the new country, and we still recognize that Lynyrd Skynyrd is the standard.
been the standard . . .
@@leebaker2588this isn't skynyrd, just the best possible skynyrd tribute band
@@GlenPentezas a native born Duval county boy and southern music man myself, you are correct sir. They got the magic, but it just ain’t quite the same.
God Bless Skynyrd and Billy Gibbons for playing the soundtrack of our lives for decades! LOVE YA'LL! ROLL TIDE ROLL!
I`m Russian and I fckn love Southern Rock!
What ?? From Ukraine?
No atuo tune no backing tracks.
Good 'ol fashioned rock n roll.
I'll take this music any day over "modern" music.
❤ ❤ ❤.
Agreed 100%!!!
Nothing today even compares to what we had in the 70s and 80s
Now that's real music!! 🎷🎺🥁🎸🎹
Rock and Roll will never die
thank you JJ Cale for this timeless song
Some people commented this is a tribute band. But people who truly love Lynyrd Skynyrd still shows up even big venues. Still see kids to grandparents in audience. Keeping the music alive. 😊
I’ve seen Skynyrd many times since 1977, always put on a great show. My thirty year old daughter went with me a couple years ago and now she’s a fan. Yes “keeping the music alive” !
Saw them 20 years ago then 2 months ago tool my 2 daughters 31 and 11 along with my grand kids and my wife who waited 40 years to see them awesome show don't want to hear about no tribute band they bring it
Ronnies brother Johnny Van Zant and Ricky Medlock are still there. That's good enough for me, it's still Lynyrd Skynyrd. Sure do miss Gary though.
The original band rocked take this track compare it to forest Gump soundtrack and I'll wait for you to explain the difference it's not brain surgery to hear it
Yes it's nice to see in our lifetime but in reality I was born in 1991 this is not Skynyrd no matter how much you brand it it does not have the emotion in the music even with two original members you can't spin it
A luxury for the ears and the eyes.
Lynyrd Skynyrd are up in Heaven jamming with JJ Cale..
And Dusty to!!!
This is so awesome and badass performance and an awesome way to end CMA Fest
LEGENDS, one 'n' ALL!
Absolutely 💯
love when band members colaberate with other bands = super great to see all these talented guitar players = you can never have too many guitars !
Absolutely!
That was an incredible finale just a banger.
What's not to love. The flag, the crowd, the good time rock and roll and freedom.............this is buildin back better, no malarkey.
Legends ❤💖🕊️🪶🪶🪶🪶💯👍
This is so bad ass
Gotta Love Billy I was lucky enough to Attend ZZ Tops 40th Birthday at the Oil Palace here in East Tx.. Wow!!! what a Show!!!!!
Phenomenal! Outstanding! A standing ovation performance…Even Big and Rich came out energized and swinging.
I'm telling ya...these country music girls have it going on and on and on!!! Love you ladies!!
A real band real musician's thank God. Real talent
1:20……this was hysterical. He INTRODUCES Billy Gibbons….just a little clue for you buddy. More people in the audience knew who he was more than you. In fact I don’t think ANYONE IN THE AUDIENCE didn’t know he was from ZZ Top. The beard is kind of unmistakable.
Clint Black, Big and Rich, Lynyrd Skynyrd & ZZ TOP.... 😱 CMA FEST 2024!!!
Skynrd karaoke!!!! Can’t believe they still are touring…. Much respect to Billy Gibbons but ZZ Topp still has 2/3 of their original lineup & he is one of the top 5 guitarist living in my book….
We are definitely getting older but these 2 bands produced some of the best music ever
This is so cool bring me back to the old days 👍🇺🇸🙏
The presence of ZZ Top always brings out a lot of beautiful girls. Good rocknroll to everyone
greece here ........2014 skynyrd was here!
That's a big ole slice of Rock N Roll and Guitar Pickin Heaven right there.
A Real Example Of Excelence!!!!
Jeezus this is brilliant!
CMA 2024 Was EPIC!!;
CMA 2024 Was EPIC!!
"Made my day? Hearing Lynyrd Skynyrd! It brought back so many memories. We were all determined to play every single note of 'Freebird as Teenagers,' and we did it while drinking beer:) how did we do that ya! All? Thank you, Lynyrd Skynyrd, for making us mean guitar players."
Southern Rock is music you can understand
Now that's groovy. Awesome
Эти великие музыканты, как старое вино, с годами только лучше становятся...
The great south lives on !
CRANKIN LOUD & SPEEDING DOWN THAT SOUTHERN RD!!!! WILL ALWAYS CRANK IT UP!!!!NEVER FOR GET, RIP MY MAN YOU KNEW HOW TO SING IT!!
Now take a look at the new generation of "music makers". What kind of ideas, inspiration, creativity and, above all, musical craft do they have? I would say nothing, less than nothing. My opinion. What I see here now is the pinnacle of music for all time. Nothing more and nothing less. Rock'n roll forever. Seriously, who can hold a candle to Billy Gibbons and all the others? My opinion from a old wise man from germany.🤟🤟🤟
❤❤ these guys I grew up loving Southern Rock 😬👍🇺🇲💪
That is the Reverend Willie G how how have mercy
Damn!!! That's a bunch of talent at one time!!!
I’m here for Billy Gibbons and Lynyrd Skynyrd of course 🙌🏼 🇺🇸
Doesn't get any better than that!
JJ Cale, Billy Gibbons and Lynyrd Skynyrd reunited. Imagine that.
JJ.Cale.. well, sorry to say thgat, already passed away....
@@jossip1171 Reunited by the song, of course ;-) Thought it was evident!
Now We're Talkin !!!
Lord I'm getting old, I remember these guys playing when they were young men. Don't get me wrong, this was great to see them still playing and getting it done......but damn
different members of LS
For those who are negative, you apparently never heard the younger Van Zant preform. Heard him do free bird in the late 90s and was one of my burned in memory concert moments of all time. Biggest lazer ball i ever saw.
Very cool gibbons with them such a treat 🎸😎
I couldn’t tell if it’s Skynyrd…but that is Billy Gibbons! The band does the song really well, those harmonies are perfect.
It is really a tribute band at this point. No original members any more.
Yes Billy is welcome in many musical situations but the guy that's flying under the radar is Damon Johnson. He went from Alice Cooper to Thin Lizzy and ends up in Skynyrd taking over where Gary Rossington left off. That speaks volumes to his ability and trust by bands that have been around for 50 years or more.
Old school 🗝️ best..gues
100 percent the best .Old rockers
Billy got his metal front zemaitis out. ZZ top have been displaying various zemaitis weapons lately. A brand on the up.
Saw them back in March and they did this then. Absolutely FANTASTIC!
Great sounds, great visuals, great performance, great crowd. Great to see Ricky Medlocke rockin' out. Saw him with Blackfoot in 1982. The man is a powerhouse but at the same time he handles the most subtle chord changes.
I saw that too front row and they came out great!
I'm so happy they tour and share stage together. My very favorite bands!
Fantastic! ❤️🔥
We need more of this classic
One of my favorite LS songs!!! ❤❤❤❤
It's a JJ Cale song!
@@wolfgangmarkusgstrein8522 Still one of my favorite LS songs lol
Rest in peace, Leon Russell. One of the all time greatest guitarists, composers and all round incredible talents.
Leon Russell? "Call Me the Breeze" is a JJ Cale tune.
This Is GREAT...🎉🎉🎉❤
This video does my heart good. Not all of the world has gone insane.
Real Music, Real Heroes .
@@joaopinheiro6467 really
Incredible , real masterpiece.
Good old rock n roll never die.
No enough words to thank you .
fantastic, fabulous show..
monsters of rock..
great Lynyrdy Skynyrd and Billy Gibbons
One of my favorite Lyn Skyn tunes. Of course The Rev has the coolest custom geetar around. That Green Mamba was purdy badass too. That was great!
Best ever.. Legenden 💯🧨👍
OMG, this was soooooo freakin cool!!!!!! 🤩🤩🤩🎸🔥🤘
CallMeTheBreezecellent
Alabama Proud......
Un grand moment de ROCK d'anthologie des artistes SPENDIDE
This . . . is the good stuff. Skynyrd paying homage to Willy G. is great!
Southern Rock women are the best!
With no original members left it can only be a tribute band. The real Skynyrd died with Ronnie in 1977. He was the heart and soul of the band. His writting and vocals made this band what it was in its glory days. Being a tribute band is not such a bad thing , it does keep the music alive.
I seen this concert live in NC and I wish I could have been here’s the guys that started southern rock and country and still ant stoped keep going we love you all keep rockin
Somebody take a huge group of "Swifties" and show them this.
Actual talent, no Auto Tune no computer processing.
Just kick azz rock
Very respectable. I wish the mix allowed us to hear the lead instruments better. My favorite Skynyrd song.
Oh My! New level of great!
Best cover band ever!
for both bands!!zz top as well!!!
All classic rock bands have few if any original members - And keep going. Damon Johnson playing the green Les Paul filled in and now replaced Gary Rossington. He fronted his band Brother Cane snd played with Alice Cooper for years and then Thin Lizzy and Black Star Riders. A great musician
@@flyingburritobro68 has to be the most overrated nothing out of Birmingham that ever picked one up 😂
This is the greatest band that ever walked this Earth this is just my opinion but I'm from the south and I'll always be a rebel at heart❤❤❤❤❤
It was great back in the 90s How Gary brought Ricky back into the band and then at the end of his life How Gary brought Damien into the band. Damon Johnson is the last of the southern rock guitarists where Rickey Medlocke is a Godfather of southern rock and roll
3:39 in is a eye popper😮
Oh hell yea love these guys
As long as a VAN ZANT is leading the charge it will ALWAYS BE SKYNYRD.... GOT ORIGINAL MEMBER RICKEY MEDLOCKE... GARYS WIFE DALE... JVZ, RICKEY, DAMON, SPARKEY, KEYS, CHRISTOPHER, DALE, CAROL... seen them march 16th and they rocked the place
True rock is southern, greetings from Argentina
Now this is proper music :-D
