Some rifles shoot about all well. Those that do are definitely keepers.
270 is another one that I think makes a good caliber for bout any big game. Holds up good at long range also, good shooting and gods speed to the WTW FAMILY AND FANS. 👍🇺🇸

I'd agree. Ron Spomer has a couple videos about the 270 Winchester and it's an interesting watch. His latest video about all the 270 calibers out there, including the 6.8 western, very interesting, but the 270Win has been around for a ling time and is quite the capable caliber being used all over the world.

I use 7 mm Mauser, pretty much the same thing.
I shot the 270 win for years and accuracy wise you can't ask for me then that. I wish they loaded it more than the standard 130 or 150gr!
I have a xpr in 243. It's a tack driver with any ammo. Always shoots a minute of angle or less. I love it!!
I’m a huge Savage Axis fan but the Winchester XPR rifles are really starting to grow on me.

Unless my eyes are deceiving me that Winchester ammo is a bit more accurate than that super expensive. 308 stuff. Kudos to Winchester for the rifle and the ammunition!

Before I started reloading I always hunted with those 150gr winchester 270s. They penetrate really well, had one go nearly all the way endwise through a mature whitetail doe. The first deer I ever shot actually, 225 yards facing me. Found the bullet up against the skin on the rear end
OOOOOh! I miss my .270. I used to only shoot 130gr.
Sweet I am going look for an xpr in 308 because here I find 308 ammo every where at a good price compared to the other popular calibers

The 270 was my favorite caliber. I had 3 different ones .One was custom with durable set triggers
Have a .270 in CZ 550 American with a Bushnell elite. love it. Currently deciding a xpr in 270 or 6.5 cr.

The way they taught us in the Marine Corps is to always shoot a three shot group for confirmation, I highly recommend you always do that no matter how long you've been doing it. You're right confidence is key and nothing is more confident than watching that bulls eye get punched out! As always great video!!!! Keep em coming!!!
Great rifle for the price. I have 2 of them and both are well made great shooters. .270 is an excellent deer and hog hunting round too. Thumbs up.
I love my 270 it's a Remington ADL with iron sights and shoots any ammo extremely well. Great vid as always, now I know something about the XPR !

Hard to beat the 270, good all around gun. I just bought another 270, tikka t3x stainless, still need to take it to the range to sight in whitetale season starts here middle of November

I also use the Winchester 270 XPR but with the Vortex Crossfire 3x9 or 4x12 or 16. I cant remember the scope power.. But i definitely and confidently put this with my Tikka T3. No problem.. Great gun. Mine particularly likes the Remington Core Lokt Tipped

JUST BOUGHT THE XPR, MODEL, 270 CALIBER IS THE BEST IN STRAIGHT SHOOTING ON THE TARGET. THE 7MM REM. MAG, AND THE 300 WIN MAG AND THE 30/06 ALL WINCHESTER , BUT THIS 270 IS XPR. THE RST ARE MODEL 70/

I shoot a Savage Axis .270 in a Boyd’s stock, an M-Carbo trigger upgrade that brought the pull down from 7lb to an even 4lb. The optic is a Nikon Pro Staff 3x9x40. It loves the Federal blue box 150gr, nail driver at 200yrd.
Think I might get the XPR!
That Winchester 150 grain and the Norma shoot great out of my Savage 110.

I have an xpr that my oldest grandson claimed.. :) ..have 2 more ordered.
Ever think about comparing the round nose corelokt vs something like these with a point. My inlaws use 270 but always the rounded corelokt 150gr called soft point, not the pointed soft point. My dad and I have always used the rounded corelokt 180gr in 308. Other relatives 3030 3006 444 marlin etc, all rounded nose corelokt. When doe season was a 3 day thing here in PA, we'd have 15 tags or so between all of us. All of us have had the same experience that the pointed rounds close up don't seem to drop them as quickly. if you hit the soft tissue right behind the shoulder they drop a lot quicker. Maybe with some of the pointed bullets with the plastic tip they are able to open faster but I feel like it's that blunt front that really dumps the energy. Rem makes the sp and the psp, all of us have just had better experience with the sp. Now if I'm shooting over 200yds and I know, I take my 264 win mag wich obviously are pointed, but up close all of those rounded corelokts do a better job than it does. It jut shoots flat.
I did a 270 ammo test not too long ago showing groups of many different 270 rounds. Can't remember if core lokts were in there or not
That rifle wants to shoot! One tip on final adjustments: if have access to crop land, and can safely do it, I always shot my hunting rifles out to 300 yds to see where the dust kicks up relative to my point of aim, then make my final adjustment. Field observation don't lie!

I have a Winchester XPR in 6.5CM and it shoots Hornady American Whitetail (129gr) in a dime at 100yds right out of the box. XPR rifles are a good deal, IMO.

I have found with 270's that some shoot 130gr well and others prefer the 150gr.
I like to start with the 130gr, because it is flatter shooting.
Where I hunt you might need a 300 yard shot.
Out to 100 yards it probably won't matter that much.
270 is by far my favorite big game hunting round for sure!

The Winchester.270 PHP rounds will touch holes at 100 easily in my old 1972 Remington 700. The best " store bought" ammunition I've ever found. It used to be cheap too. I don't even know if Winchester still makes it?

Nice group for Hunting rig Sometimes in specific guns Spire points power points lead soft tips shoot as well as match bullets but they do alot more to living targets. Thats ready to hunt anything targets or prey.
Was at Ace today around 545 there was 223 .....308.....7.62x39 around 20 boxes of each round

Finding ammo that your gun likes that are of the right construction and design could be a bit of a task. I can only afford to buy the bullet with the construction and velocity to get the job done and hope the drop is not so in accurate that I will wound or miss my prey. I don't load so I will just have to study my velocities and watch my misses to see where my bullets hit to become familiar with how my rifle shoots, and hope that the width of the spread is not so bad that I miss or wound game. But it is nice to know that the Winchester XPR has the accuracy there and that I'm not working with a shill of a rifle to begin with. Great video, thanks.

Winchester Power Point 270 ammo is an anomaly. I shoot 130's with similar results from a 25 year old ADL. I'm handloading now but wouldn't hesitate to shoot that factory ammo.
