Don't deer hunt anymore but did a lot for many years and .270 was my favorite. And my favorite gun among them all was a Remington ADL. Dropped many of them with that little gun. Never a miss and never more than one shot. Now days I feed my little herd of em here at the house and cuss em often for eating my plants. hahahaha
.270 is probably my all time favorite. It’s definitely interesting to see those Winchester loads hitting in the same spot. I’m a big fan of the Winchester 130 grain soft points. Never failed me on a white tail.
I think the reason why your getting 2 million views a month is because you get straight to the point in your videos. You don't drag it out for 10 minutes.
I've heard more than once that .270 often prints 130 and 150 grain loads on top of each other or darned close at 100 yards. If you can have a 100 yard 150 grain "brush" load and a 130 grain longer range load that prints right with a common zero that's great.
Just sighted my .270 in with 130gr winchester deer season loads on Friday. I went out again Saturday with 96gr Norma EvoStrikes. I expected to make adjustments but the both shot dead center in my dad's old Remington Sportsman 78 from the 80's. I'm pleased lol.
I have a Vanguard in .270 that I've had for 10+ years. Highly recommend it. It is extremely accurate for a hunting rifle with off the shelf factory ammo. No problem hitting a pop can at 250m.
Good video. I have done this same test several times with my old ‘06. Federal in every case shot lower than every other manufacturers. Remington 150 gr core loks have always out performed every other rnd, at least in my 70 year old Springfield (JC Higgins) Never lost an animal in 50 years of hunting with them. Dad taught me early on...”one shot one kill”...
If you have a good Lazer printer you can make high quality targets cheap. Many are available free online. You can get grid line targets for zeroing and targets made for load testing with places to enter your bullet information. I do paper plate occasionally like Adam does as well.
Some groups were great others were ok. All adequate for deer & even elk out to 250 yards. Beauty rifle. 270 is a great chambering for North American big game.
Looks like me at the range last week. Took out my Savage 110 in .270. Since ammo is scarcer than hens teeth, I grab a box whenever I see it. Now I have 2 or 3 boxes of 6 different brands and grains! Had to get to the range to see how it all shot!
The .270 is a sweet round to shoot. My father bought a M 721 Rem in .270 new in 1953. He got me and the gun I guess for his birthday instead of Mother getting a new couch. That rifle fed us for many years on whitetail. He also took all sorts of predators such as fox, coyotes, and many feral dogs that would kill our livestock (sheep and goats) with that rifle. I also took my first deer with that rifle when I was 6 years old. I took many deer with that gun also and will pass it down. I guess there are better rounds out there but it still runs near the top of the pack. Back then we shot mostly 130 gr bullets. Now I favor Barnes or Hornaday 130 gr. or 140's. I like the way the 120 gr Hornaday shoots.
I appreciate your videos man, 270 is my favorite caliber. You alluded to it, and I agree the 270 barrel heats up really fast, and I would have given it some time between different ammo. And also different barrels like different ammo better so you know, it’s not necessarily conclusive that you’re gone like one better than the other, but, it is an idea. I reload so I get a chance to check out a lot of different kind of bullets and a lot of different powder in situation, and I can say for sure different 270s like different bullets and different powder loads. Good job bro!
Very well made, thank you bud, I am a 270 fanatic too, my is a sintétic stock but I float the barrel and trigger adjust and it is beautiful to shoot, I use barnes 110 gr. ballistic tip and it do the job on big axis, deer and hogs here in Texas!!!!
I have a late 1960's vintage Win mod 70 in 270. We have used 130gr Sierra GK hand loads for generations in our family for deer. They have always been very accurate and very effective on white tails in PA. It's hard to argue with that group you got with the federal ammo. I suggest that you repeat your test just to make certain that you are getting consistent results with a cold barrel. Its funny that you made the comment about it kicking harder than you remember. My dad got a good deal on his 270 in the 1970s because its former owner complained that "kicked too dang hard".
I always enjoy your videos. I especially liked that this one almost used ammo all of the same weight! That is so important. (I understand that sometimes you are forced to use whatever you can get) Almost anyone who shoots alot has seen for themselves that different brands of ammo will shoot differently but THIS test really proves it!👍 That fact still amazes me, even after hundreds of thousands of rounds, how a different brand can hit well off of a zeroed center but still post a perfect group! 👌 My Model 70 with Hornady red tip 130 grainers is a laser. THIS was a really fun video! I sincerely appreciate all of the time, hard work, effort, planning & expense that you incur making all of these videos. Thank you! 🙏
Love that rifle. Love the 270 as well. I always have great luck with federal power shock or federal fusion. Both seem very accurate out of all of my rifles
I have a Winchester Model 70 Super Grade Maple in .270 Winchester and the 130g Hornady Superperformance SST is the only ammo I use now. 3200 fps with my 24" barrel is as good as it gets with commercial ammo. Cheers! 👍
Thank you for that terrific .270 video. Your video right now is the best rifle, ballistics, sighting in video I've seen, bar none. Man you went right at it. Years ago,I was going on my first elk hunt in Colorado with two business friends. I bought a Remington 700 ADL in .270 Winchester in the black laminate camouflage. I read all of Jack O'Connor books and Jim Zumbos "Hunt Elk" and a host of others. I had already known about the Premium bullets. I chose a Nikon Monarch scope in 3X9 power. I bought the Nikon over the Leupold due to the Nikons better clarity AND lighter field of view. I figured the Nikon would give me 15 minutes more shooting time. Couldn't afford Zeis or Swarovski at the time. The Winchester "Fail Safe" bullets were out then and I thought I'd buy then along with Federals .270. I took them to the rifle range where they had targets out to 300 yards. I did the same thing you did here. The Federal grouping was like your Winchester 130X first time, bullet holes all touched. DAMN was I impressed. The "Fail Safes" crapped out. Now,I let the rifle breathe for a good 30 minutes to cool. Didn't matter. The bullet holes were widely gapped with no 2 close. I fired again getting the same results. I was really bummed out. Even imagining the size of the elks lung kill zone over these bullets, no way I could see bringing the Fail Safes to Colorado. The end of that story was I saw raghorn young bulls, cows but not one shooter. Fritz blew a 75 yard first day shot at a good bull with his .340 Weatherby that he bought off Paul, our fellow elk hunter. Fritz had never shot any caliber higher than his Dads .35 Marlin here in Pennsylvania. Paul blew a 150 yard shot at a bull first day also. Neither saw another shooter. When I came home I told the story to the owner of the store I bought the scope and ammo from.I knew him well and thought he would have a good reason the Fail Safes performed so miserably. I'm sure you all know what he told me. "Some rifles LOVE this bullet, and scatter others". Fail Safes disappeared from the market and I know why. But thank you for doing this video so now I know the best .270 bullet to use.
Nice! I have a 270 and have taken deer with it in fact took my second deer lass year with it the first one with my Remington pump action game master in 30-06. Have a great day.
Remington 150 gr core-loct is my rnd of choice. I have taken many different animals with my ‘06 from antelope through elk with the 150. I did step up to a 220 gr for my moose though.
I like the Winchester brand; factory loaded cartridges, primers and powder for reloading. Thank you for the post. Blessings. You're up to 175,000 subscribers, too. WaHoo to Who-Tee-Who!
I appreciate the test with the .270 you don't see anyone do test with that cal much. I use the 130 gr Winchester ballistic silver tips in my rem 700. It shoots those really well.
Great video Wtw, those federals are definitely the way to go, the 130grain ammo is my preference in 270 winchester, the 150 grain are great on elk and mule deer. Thx for sharing
Ever thought about doing this same 100 yard test but shoot through the chronograph at the same time...just thinking because you have 5 different types of boolets
I hand load mine with 140gr barns triple shock. Haven't had to track one yet. For paper punching, I use 135gr match kings. They work really well in my rem700.
Model 77's are not known for accuracy. I had a couple of them. Sure, they shot pretty good, but they are far from tack drivers. I sold my two rifles and replaced them with other rifles of the same caliber. Yes, they will kill deer fine, but the Model 77 is one of Ruger's less accurate rifles.
I have the same rifle in .270 we bought 3. My grandfather, my father, and myself all three shoot very well with anything we have shot through them. Seeing “my gun” was a very nice surprise for me good to see, your getting the same groups that we always have!!
I have used all kinds of ammo with my 270. And it all did the job but I’ve settled on the win super x 150. Like you I prefer the heavier bullet for my hunting.
I like the 130 and 150 Remington corelokts with the round soft point not the pointed. If found that did best on white tail under 200 yards because it tends to smack harder and does more damage and not over penetrate like the PSP. PSP tends to just poke a hole through with very little damage.. Lol that you get what you pay for is shot out the water because your cheapest did better than double tap. 20 dollar a box and less bullets kill just as dead as 40 to 100 dollar a box bullets.
For practical hunting distances the round nose version is deadly. No need for this ballistic co-efficient crap. People feed off bull shit hunting distances.
Thank you for your video sir.The 270 Win is an absolutely beautiful sexy cartridge and a very accurate flat shooter. I feel it’s one of those must have calibers like the .223, 243 Win, .308, 30-06 I love the Winchester Mod 70’s chambered in it. Such an awesome trigger pull and controlled round feed. New subscriber here bud. Peace brother ✌️😎👍
My favorite rifle that I own is a 270 Vanguard, I call it my “meat gun” because it knocks down any & everything I’ve ever shot with it. My go to ammo is the 130 Remington Core-loc which unfortunately you didn’t have on your table for comparison. My 50mm Nikon Prostaff complements my perfect hunting rifle... Keep up your informative work, we all appreciate it.
Sierra Game King. Used to reload.270. My son and I used to compete at 200 yards back in the day. Actually both rifles, Remington 700 stock, had cheap cheap Tasco 3x9x40 mounted. Somewhere here in my junk there are several $.25 coins with 3 hits on them at 200 yards. The ammo was very meticulously made- down to hand dropping individual grains of powder onto not your average balance scale. Brass was measured in all dimensions. Bullets were weighed and separated into closet weight groups. That was literally 25 years ago. I'm serious as heck here- 3 shots in a penny at 100 was easy. BUT, I KNOW YOU ARE SHOWING FACTORY STUFF HERE. And my comments aren't relevant but letting people know the .270 is a very fine all around caliber. I've even down loaded them and used lead balls in the case for squirrels, rabbits, skunks etc to keep the noise level down and just something to play with. Enjoy your vids a lot. One beautiful rifle you have there.
I own a weatherby mark v in 270 with a Leopold 3-9-50. All I can say is it’s a tack driver & it will kill🦌 as they say on the knife show. Lol. It hits hard. Taken a Maine black bear & CT deer @ 70-75 yards 150 grains.
I have a Ruger M77 Hawkeye .270 and Federal 150g Power Shock worked best with grouping so far now to get some custom reloading started. 270 is a great round!
Surprised by that federal group, I get to do the same test with my new browning x bolt in 270 the hells canyon model. Can’t wait to see what it likes. Always love the videos!!
That's a beauty of a rifle. Hard to take into the woods for me for any songs or damage. As much luck as I have had with the Federal Powershok, it's hard for me to say anything against them.
That Federal 130gr. is what I've been using the last few years. It's put the last 3 deer on the receiving end of it in the dirt. I like to sight mine in a little high at 100 yds. so I can reach out a little further.
Really enjoyed your video. Just traded for my 1st 270 Remington and now because of your assistance, I have a baseline on which ammo and what type of performance to expect. Hear in South Texas, the majority of our deer kills are normally not much more than 100 to 150 yds. Took a decent 6 point at approximately 75 yards with a 308. Keep making those videos. Very informative.
While you didn't test my ammo of choice, this was an EXCELLENT video WTW! 👍 It was VERY interesting that your 'zero ammo' yielded the worst results! It just proves the hot barrel thing. As we all know, for hunters this is irrelevant since the cold shot should be the kill shot. As far as we benchrest/target shooters go - different story. After 3 shots my muzzle loader goes away irregardless of barrel temperature. A good cleaning brings it right back. Great video Adam!
I only shoot federal vital shock in my .270. Federal power shock groups with 6” spread at 100 yards in my rifle. Vital shock groups within an inch at 200 yds
Enjoyed this video and subscribed. I'm an old retired New Zealand Forest Service deer culler. Got my first .270, a Sako in 1963. I've put a few thousand rounds down since then. Still have a .270 today at aged 74. Its a very nice Carl Gustaf. I've always been a rough when it comes to ammo, anything cheap goes, so I have watched this with great interest. Thanks for sharing.
Winchester 130 and 150 grain were in my Remington. I ran the 150’s up front and the 130’s behind. I wanted to be on the bullseye when the yardages moving faster and further with the faster 130.
I love Federal and so does my Weatherby Vanguard. It LOVED the Federal Fusion and PowerShok. IT did not like the Hornady American Whitetail. But I went out and bagged a massive 278lb hog the other day using the Powershok in .308 and that hog dropped. Love these videos man! Keep them coming!! God Bless!
I have to watch when I get home from the BBQ Fest this week. I think I would just zero the scope for whatever I had and call it a day. The Federal is a for real best buy.
It's kind of funny on the hot barrel thing. A major barrel maker thought that the biggest reason the groups grow is because of the heat mirage off the barrel. It makes sense. I reload but it's nice to see a factory ammo comparison. It's a crap shoot whether store bought ammo will shoot good. I like 5 shot groups to get a better idea. I just started reloading for a new 270 I just purchased and am shooting 130 grain Hornady SST's. They shoot good for deer hunting purposes, but I was disappointed they are not all that concentric, and the tips were deformed in packaging. I will be looking for Sierra game changer bullets, or some Berger game bullets in the future. I am far better than buying and testing factory loads with what I have even though I want better. Nice video.
With the Weatherby Vanguard S2 Sporter I set up for another person. 7 years ago. I only had two brands: Hornady American whitetail 130 gr and Federal Fusion 150 gr. @ 200 yards the federal fusion was printing under an inch. With a leupold 3x9 vx-1
In my Sako .270 I am loading Nosler 130 gr Partition bullet. For deer hunting and wild boars, this is the bullet only type I ever used! The combination works really well. I will send you my score card as soon as I get some large bore primers and can do my first set of reloading!
The venerable .270WIN. Responsible for promoting deer to Venison for a century and counting. One of the best all around cartridges to this day. At 100 yards, they all group within a minute of deer. I run 130gr for mulies and wifey runs 150s for elk.
Both my 270s love that federal load. A Remington 7400 and a mossberg patriot walnut. They shoot better Even than my homemades. And it’s just the right bullet for Northeastern whitetails. They die on the way down.
Thanks for testing several different ammo types. Saves me on this end. Would prefer putting your chrono up on each. Collect double the info for each shot.
I have a Remington nodel-six pump in .270.... Believe it or not, ive tried quite a few different brands in it... Good old Remington Core-Lokt 130 gr. Shoots moa at 100 yds.. Others, lucky to get a 2-3 inch group.. Never lost a deer using them and have shot deer at 250yds. Most drop where they stand or go no more than 40-50 yds.
I was recently surprised in my Rem. 700 .270 by the Winchester “Deer Season XP” ammo (130 gr.). It shot a best group of 0.625” from not the most stable of rests. You’re right about pricing. That ammo was not the cheapest I tested, but it was on the lower end at $38.99/box. That’s a pretty rifle.
Sweet rifle! You should try the Barnes 130 gr tsx bullet! It will expand to over 1/2" and seriously drop your deer! I really appreciate your videos! Thank You
.270 nips on the heels of belted magnum cartridges. A light 130 gr .270 zips at 3100fps/2790ft lbs energy A 139gr 7mm rem mag does it with 3150fps/3063fpe. A 300 winmag send a 150gr at 3200fps/3305ft lbs energy. Where the .270 fails is the available grain weight. You are only getting 130 or 150 grain options for the barrel twist rate.
I was told, and it has proven to be true for me, that it only takes three rounds to determine if your rifle likes any certain ammunition. I have quite a few 17 round boxes of differing 270 ammo.
That is a sweet setup ! I had a hard time deciding 30-30 , 270 or 308, & then finding one but your video helped so went with Ruger Predator Go Wild 308 now I need to sight in but neighbor put horses in the field I was to use !
I hunt with a Mossberg 270 bolt action and the ammo I shoot out of it is Hornady 130 grain I also have Winchester super x 130 Grand I like my 270 and it is a heck of a gun to hunt with I like it
I believe shooting that many rounds that quickly in a standard barrel is causing heat deflection. You should wait about 20 minutes between 3 shot grouping to permit the barrel to cool a little. I shoot .270 quite a bit, and I have 2 Vanguards in that caliber. They tend to move some when barrel is hot. Sub MOA when everything is done right. I have developed many good loads for the 270, and I prefer the 140 gr for deer hunting, but 130 to 150 are all good rounds.
I would have mounted the scope lower than it is but it's a good looking rig otherwise. You really should let that barrel cool between groups as well; you don't hunt with a hot barrel. Impressive accuracy overall at any rate. I use 150 grain Sierra Game King bullets in my .270 although I wish it shot the 130's better than it does.
I hunt with a 270. I’ve shot Winchester Supreme, Federal, Hornady and some of mine own reloads. All in 130 grain bullets. The reloads do better with both accuracy and kill power than anything I’ve shot. Both in my Winchester 700 and my Ruger American. To truth of the entire thing is that any of the available 270 ammo is accurate enough and more than capable of taking down deer, hogs, or what ever. The shot placement is the biggest variable in most cases. Also that first shot out of a cold bore is what you get when hunting....
I've been shooting a .270 Win for over 30 years. We hunt the high plains of Eastern Colorado for Pronghorn antelope and deer, both Mule and Whitetail. Most shots range between 150 - 400 yards. Also, we normally have to put up with some kind of wind. Because of the wind, I prefer heavier bullets. My rifle is a S&W Model 1500 (made by Miroku, Japan) with a 22 in barrel and a Weaver 3X9 scope. I worked on hand loads until I found what the rifle liked: 150 gr. Speer "Grand Slam" bullets stoked with 57 gr. of IMR-4831 powder, muzzle velocity around 2850 fps. I dial in the scope at 200 yards, normally shooting silver dollar size, 3 shot patterns. About 12 years ago, I shot a Pronghorn from a kneeling position at 485 paces. She was staring right at me, beginning to get skittish. I took the shot just as she turned, quartering to my left. That was the longest kill shot I have ever taken. I love the .270!
Been hunting with the same 270 since I was 13, shes still a good rifle for taking out them white tails.
The 150s work great on black bear too. My dad used to use 165s for moose but they are uncommon these days.
I’ve become a fan of the federal fusions but almost impossible to find them anymore
I have to try to not drool when I see your Weatherby...it is so sweet.
270 win. My favorite, one of the most versatile calibers for North American big game. I love your Weatherby she Purdy!
Nice ....I have a 270 Parker hale love it...
I think the reason why your getting 2 million views a month is because you get straight to the point in your videos. You don't drag it out for 10 minutes.
I do the same, I just dont have any subscribers. Lol
And. "They are a really fun video!"
Gunman-66 you got a new one now and I haven’t even checked out the content cheers Yogi Australia 🇦🇺🤙🤙
🙏 thank you Wyatt. I try to make videos I would watch myself. No nonsense
yesireeee!!!!!

Adam, I love how you use paper plates for targets. I do too. No need to spend much money on targets. Down to earth!!!

That sure is a beautiful rifle, I want one now.
Same that gun is really nice
The triggers are amazing considering it's a factory job. Light n crisp with a relatively short travel.
Me to I would never shoot such a beautiful rifle tho at least not to often that is
Awesome Rifle. It likes just about anything you put in it. You got you a keeper there man.
I appreciate your videos man, 270 is my favorite caliber. You alluded to it, and I agree the 270 barrel heats up really fast, and I would have given it some time between different ammo. Yeah, by the 3rd round, my Remington Model Six .270 is hot!
Know this is 2yrs old , my 270 vanguard loves the Hornady 130 white tail. My rem 700 270 love 150 core lock , both synthetic stocks. Love your video
I have a late 1960's vintage Win mod 70 in 270. We have used 130gr Sierra GK hand loads for generations in our family for deer. Love that rifle, it goes to show that even the inexpensive bullets can do the job just as well.
I always enjoy your videos. I especially liked that this one almost used ammo all of the same weight! That is so important. (I understand that sometimes you are forced to use whatever you can get)

My Model 70 with Hornady red tip 130 grainers is a laser.

Thank you for that terrific .270 video.
Your video right now is the best rifle, ballistics, sighting in video I've seen, bar none.
Man you went right at it.
Years ago,I was going on my first
elk hunt in Colorado with two business friends.
I bought a Remington 700 ADL in
.270 Winchester in the black laminate camouflage.
I couldn't believe it.
This was Winchesters own rifle and own ammo.
What gives?
I double checked all screws on the Leupold Dual Dovetails and mount, but none were loose.
What a beautiful rifle. The varnish on that thing makes it look like you just took it out of a display case
Is it a Vanguard or Mark 5? The newer Vanguard sporter's have the satin finish. I like the gloss finish better.
I usually hunt with whatever I zero it in with. Got a ton of Remington 30 06 core-loct 150 grain so I use that for deer.
Remington 150 gr core-loct is my rnd of choice. I have taken many different animals with my ‘06 from antelope through elk with the 150. I did step up to a 220 gr for my moose though.
I know a few hunter’s that won’t use anything else.
Yes, I second that! Good 👁 🦌!
I hand load mine with 140gr barns triple shock. Haven't had to track one yet. For paper punching, I use 135gr match kings. They work really well in my rem700.
Great video! I've had good luck with the PowerShok as well. Depending on the rifle.
Dandy gun and I like the Winchester and the Hornady. All the zoomies and making some clickes. Who-tee-who
Thanks again Who, good videos for the good ole boys. Gods speed to ya and your family. 👍🇺🇸
I like how you just measure with your thumb :)
Cheers!
he should use a picture of that for his thumbnail
.270 is a beast. Absolute gem of a cartridge.
I must say that was some pretty good shooting. Regardless of which box of boat you had that was nice. I have a 270 Ruger model 77.
I have a Ruger m 77 in 270 and love it.
@@gascheck8151 👍
Thank you for your video sir.The 270 Win is an absolutely beautiful sexy cartridge and a very accurate flat shooter. I feel it’s one of those must have calibers like the .223, 243 Win, .308, 30-06
I love the Winchester Mod 70’s chambered in it. Such an awesome trigger pull and controlled round feed.
New subscriber here bud.
Peace brother ✌️😎👍
Got to love that Weatherby....
WTW I love the 270 . Great video
4 of 5 are all really good groups fo factory ammo 5th is still decent and rifle is absolutely beautiful
Man that 270 is a beaut!!!
Thanks for showing us these Winchester 270 loads and their results. I've been a huge fan of the 270 since childhood in the 1950s.
love your channel, keep the .270 videos coming !
Beautiful rifle WTW! My sporter looks the same, but in 30-06...then I have a sporter in satin finish in .243
40 years ago, doing that with a factory rifle and multiple brands of factory ammo would have been very rare. Great job.
I love 270, 130grain Winchester SuperX but I preferred the XP instead of the PowerPoint. Cracks Glow sticks at 100yards no issues!
It was VERY interesting that your 'zero ammo' yielded the worst results!
Thanks for watching
I missed it live dang it!! Mine loves 140 hornady
Hate it when I get on about 5 min after the live ended
Cracks me up everytime I see these videos that your right on a road with traffic going past lol
Back road. In the middle of nowhere 😝
lol me too! im in the middle of nowhere in oz but still hold off taking a shot as the cars drive by🤣
You know the first time a car drives by as he shoots, the driver has the pucker factor!🤣😂🤣😂
@@smokingshellsoutdoors2301 LOL He's in Tennessee. They're used to it. It's like a car going by with the radio playing.
I deer hunted with a model 70 Winchester in 270 for 20 years great caliber and gun..oh by the way it's hard to beat hornady ammo in any caliber
I only shoot federal vital shock in my .270. Federal power shock groups with 6” spread at 100 yards in my rifle. Vital shock groups within an inch at 200 yds
Love the ol 270
Be interesting to see what letting the barrel cool between shots.
Thanks for watching Sam!
God Bless!
I'm gonna assume the double tap and the winchester super x 130gr are gonna be top contenders.. they performed well back in my factory ammo using days👍
With the 270 for Whitetail hunting I only use 130 grain, they open nicely on exit. The 150 grain I would only use on a heavier game like elk.
Nice video.
That was worth watching again 2 years apart between that beautiful rifle and my favorite Federal Powr Shoks!
🙏🙏🙏
@@WHOTEEWHO Sorry, had taken about a year and a half TH-cam vacation or I would have kept up. Lots of medical problems at once.
With the Weatherby Vanguard S2 Sporter I set up for another person.
I only had two brands:
Hornady American whitetail 130 gr and Federal Fusion 150 gr.
@ 200 yards the federal fusion was printing under an inch.
With a leupold 3x9 vx-1
Hey Adam enjoyed the video that 270 is a awesome gun.
Hey Keith!!!
@@WHOTEEWHO hey buddy
I love the hornady whitetail stuff, in several different calibers
Case in point,, Winchester white box 45 g 223 shoots 3/8" MOA in my 223. When I bought it, it was cheap, but it really shot tight.
Hey Buddy another informative video.
We all learn from your real time down to earth videos. Thanks again.
Straight forward, honestly showing how it is. Thank you.
Federal is what I use most of the time. Good comparison. Thanks!
Thank You
Thanks for the video. Great shooting. I have a Caldwell lead slead about 10-15 lbs weight helps with the recoil.
.270 nips on the heels of belted magnum cartridges.
A light 130 gr .270 zips at 3100fps/2790ft lbs energy
A 139gr 7mm rem mag does it with 3150fps/3063fpe.
I'll take everything it doesn't like off your hands for ya.
@@jeramyw thanks Jeremy, but it all shoots sub-MOD (Minute Of Deer).
@@dwsever Any experience with Lead free Power shok?
@@jeramyw No Sir. I’ve not seen it anywhere.
That 270 is beautiful
I hunt with a 270. I’ve shot Winchester Supreme, Federal, Hornady and some of mine own reloads. All in 130 grain bullets. The reloads do better with both accuracy and kill power than anything I’ve shot. Both in my Winchester 700 and my Ruger American. To truth of the entire thing is that any of the available 270 ammo is accurate enough and more than capable of taking down deer, hogs, or what ever. The shot placement is the biggest variable in most cases. Also that first shot out of a cold bore is what you get when hunting....
Federal Power Shock is highly under rated. I've shot subMOA groups with most of my rifles with power shock.
I’ve got the exact same rifle in the exact same caliber, love it. Excellent to shoot. 👍
