The cool air swirling about your feet, the smell of hot coffee from the galley, the feeling like you’ve been up for hours...sit back...breathe...feel the power...
I love sunrise departures, especially when the flight is empty. You also get really good seats on early morning flights. I once lucked out and got the first row right up at the bulkhead, so no one was sitting in front of me, so lots of leg room. This was in January 2013. I had gone home for my mother's funeral and I got to the airport really early and was one of the first people to check in.
I miss flying so much..after being a diamond medallion flyer with Delta for so many years we moved to Australia to retire.... Delta kept me safe all those years for which I’m grateful.
1:42 - and an excellent view of the Hyperion Sewage Treatment Plant! Kinda weird I guess, but I do occasional consulting for them and it's actually a very interesting place. I think they offer tours occasionally - I'd recommend it. The useful things we can do with flushed toilet water these days is remarkable.
Thank-you again Mr. Max for another stunning takeoff video! I am so, so, so sorry to have not written my comment earlier. I was able to view your post within hours after you posted it, but I was in a bit of discomfort. I had just returned from my physician’s office, where he performed a procedure on my back. Unfortunately, it takes about a week for the effects to take place, and in the meantime, I have this dumpster truck practicing parallel parking feeling all over. But, now the dust has settled. I am always happy to write a narrative as well as I am able for any videos I consider well done. I have done some videoing and editing in the past and know the effort and time people put into making and posting them. Consequently, I try to render my appreciation with some statement that extends beyond: “Great show!”; “i liked it a whjole bunch” (all lower case and misspelled words); “LOVED IT” (Cap’s button frozen down because “Red Bull” was spilled on keyboard); a bunch of emojis (I have no idea how to create them); etc.; ad nauseam… Anyway sir, this is why I do my best in order to give the author some worthwhile feedback. However, not all is mere praise. If I do see something out of sorts, I will try to inform whomever a suggested correction. Nevertheless, it is totally effortless on my part do write something tangible. But I digress… On to my nauseating and making one wish he could shove a sock down my throat narrative. I am so glad you had the chance to video from my favorite wide-bodied aircraft that is now in its twilight years of passenger service (however, the L1011 is soever close behind). Back when I flew internationally on a frequent basis, I flew on the 767 virtually exclusively. As I stated before, the view you showed was that which I saw in my business class seat, as I consumed another “Beefeaters” dry martini. It remains my favorite aircraft for some very good reasons, but they are too long to describe here. My most memorable trip was a flight from Atlanta to Frankfurt. Dawn was just starting as my flight was passing over Ireland, and all the lights were still on just as the red hue of the morning started to illuminate the details on the ground. We hit some exceptionally strong turbulence (thankfully after I was able to get my martini refill), and as I looked out my window, the entire wing was flexing as if it was a bird in flight. Additionally, the entire pylon was shaking so violently, I thought the thing was going to fall off. When we finally flew through the turbulence and while the other passengers remained white knuckled as they held on to their seats, I could not help myself and loudly stated, “Do that again! Do that again!” The flight attendants got a kick out of it and smiled. But do you know that angry stares from other passengers do not faze me? Even though I have a lot to write, I’ll close my comment now so you do not fall out of your chair asleep. Again, thank-you for taking the time to share your experience with us. I am looking forward to viewing your next post.
@@willie31133: Wow... "Crazy person?"... All I can say is that is one of the nicest things I've been called. So, thank-you for the comment. But I have to tell you that I am impervious to flattery. Apart from all that, did you like my short novel? Part of my comment had to do with an earlier post of Max's. It sort of boils down to: "You sort-a had to have been there." Anyway, it is nice to see someone other than me who reads the comments left by others.
C-990 Buff - thanks for sharing! Your comments and stories are always welcome here - and I'm glad to hear the dust is settling :) I have not encountered severe turbulence in nearly a million miles of airline flying. Cool to hear you stayed awake on an overnight transatlantic redeye. I wish I could but I'm usually trying to fight off any impending jet lag by forcing a few hours of sleep. Flying east-to-west (EU to USA) is always easier !
@@maxenroute: Thank-you sir for your very gracious reply. Indeed, flying from Europe to the US is so much better for me also for a couple of reasons. The work I did in Germany generally and literally meant working 18 hours a day for 7 days a week for 3 weeks. I was also excited to return and have my fiancée greet me at the gate, and the Frankfurt airport always had the best business and up passenger lounge (I generally get to the airport from 3 to 4 hours ahead of time. I never know any additional security changes might have been added to entering the concourse.). I'll keep up my comments as soon as I am able to view your posts. Thank-you again for your reply.
Thanks for sharing this nice view, Max. If I may ask, how did you end up with such a stable video, i.e. no camera shake? And what kind of camera did you use? - Martin
Thank you Martin. Filmed w/ iphone 11 pro max. I suppose I was lucky with minimal turbulence on departure. Someone once said: “the best camera is the one that's with you" :)

Well said!
Love the 767 - going to miss them, love the engine sound and the 2-4-2 seating
Same here. 2-4-2 is the best. Shame that many airlines are decreasing seat width - like packing 10 across on 777s.
Fantastic video
Thank you Mr Madeira. I hope to visit there one day.
Gorgeous and moving... thank you Max; otherworldly light at dawn reminds me how lucky we are to live here.
Thank you Kelly. And, yes - agreed!

OMG I am a retired pilot and to watch that beautiful vid makes my heart truly ache with desire.
Thank you!! The time and years fly by too fast when you're a pilot - or passenger...
Oh yeah! Awesome engine sounds, fiery sunrise. Oh how I miss flying right now.
Thank you!! More and more folks are getting back into the skies :)
Absolutely beautiful takeoff and sound. Cant imagine how 10 people could give this a thumbs down. Something wrong with those people
From the flight deck, Glad you enjoyed our flight.
Always!!

Nice- thx for the info. I almost thought you said Hyperloop :)
@@maxenroute I think there's a Hyperloop nearby too!
Awesome vid, even the engine noises are perfect
Thx! Can't get enough.
Very nice, Max. I saw your post about the video, in the Facebook group. Great little video. Loved the sound of the engines.
Thank you very much! More vids to come...
Beautiful
