I visited LA from England a couple of years ago and on final approach I remember being Amazed at how many buildings there were 😂 and I thought London was densely built
London is extremely more densely populated than Los Angeles so don't be too hard on your city. However Los Angeles and it's surrounding suburbs have a continuous density that gives an appearance of what I think is the largest city in the world outside of Tokyo in terms of urban continuous footprint
at 14:43 that little white dot on the far left on the hill is Griffith Park Observatory, and then at 15:07 the next white dot/line on the same hill is the Hollywood Sign
fantastic video! Clear day at LA, no marine layer. Been there twice, nice weather, nice people but holy hell that traffic is ridiculous at all hours of the day. First stop after getting picked up.....the In n Out on Westchester, a place not found on the east coast.
In 1976, we flew into LAX from South Korea after stopping at Honoluu Hi. We were fresh immigrants! I still live around Los Angeles. I can almost see my house in this video!
so clear I could follow along on Google Earth starting over Redlands, Pomona, etc. Thanks for sharing. And no turbulence. My last trip into LAX was like a bad roller coaster. I've flown countless times, and descending into LAX that day was the worst turbulence I'd ever experienced, starting all the way out by Palm Springs.
These views look similar to that last minute planned trip to Vegas. Reno-LA-LV-Reno. Saw the Hollywood sign, L.A. Coliseum and downtown L.A. that morning.
It was Los Angeles that I went abroad for the first time a long time ago❕ I approached from the Pacific Ocean, but this 5th familiar townscape I think this is the most beautiful in the world!👍 I was very impressed to remember that when our jumbo jet approached the Americas from the Pacific Ocean, we were looking down from the aisle window❗️🤟😭
Caryl, here. I used to love landing at LAX when we travelled. There's no place to go anymore. We are homebodies now. It has become such a pain in the ass to go anywhere now with the TSA, extra luggage fees, no dinner service, masks, and REAL ID's. But memories are great! I loved seeing the Forum right before landing.......almost home!!
I’m from So Cal, and recognized just about everything on the ground in this video. While flying right over San Bernardino, being able to see Big Bear and the Lucerne Valley (aka high desert) right behind it all at the same time is kinda mind blowing. And just a few minutes later there’s the downtown LA Skyline. It would normally take about 2 and a half hours to drive that distance if traffic’s good the entire way (which it never is 🤣). And the Cajon Pass (aka “the hill”) which is visible in this video, which I have to drive up and down every day (which also sometimes can take a couple hours just to get through because traffic is Almost always bad in the pass).
Last time I flew on an airliner it was 1994 coming home to Chicago from seeing Pink Floyd at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. The aircraft was a United Airlines 727-200 and I was fortunate to be in row 6 where it was nice and quiet. I miss seeing the old three-holers, they were great as long as you weren’t behind the wings, very quiet.

@@sla31 You are very kind. Thank you very much.
Sweet landing.
Real nice video on approach to LAX.
Beautiful landing ever seen very smooth 😍😍👍👍
great video. delivers the excitement very good.

Yep, Ashlee! Make mine a double double!!!🍔🍟😜
I was landed in LAX in the evening. We flew over Staples Center and Nokia Theatre. Way cool
AMAZING landing!!!!
MARC💃❤👄🤣
I simply adore these videos…I love flying ❤️❤️❤️
I'm glad you enjoy them my friend! Thanks for watching!
In 1976, we flew into LAX from South Korea after stopping at Honoluu Hi. We were fresh immigrants! I still live around Los Angeles. I can almost see my house in this video!
By far the best landing I was looking for! 👍. TY
Los Angeles County and the basin is HUGE!!!
so clear I could follow along on Google Earth starting over Redlands, Pomona, etc. Thanks for sharing. And no turbulence. My last trip into LAX was like a bad roller coaster. I've flown countless times, and descending into LAX that day was the worst turbulence I'd ever experienced, starting all the way out by Palm Springs.
Maybe it was the Santa Ana winds.
Wow the city center seems to be very far from the airport... Great video.
About 15 miles
Im going to LA with my college in about 2 months I can't wait!
I hope you have a great trip!
Sending Love from Iran 🇮🇷❤️🇺🇸
These views look similar to that last minute planned trip to Vegas. Reno-LA-LV-Reno. Saw the Hollywood sign, L.A. Coliseum and downtown L.A. that morning.
Awesome smooth landing!!!!!!!!!!
It was Los Angeles that I went abroad for the first time a long time ago❕
I approached from the Pacific Ocean, but this 5th familiar townscape I think this is the most beautiful in the world!👍
I was very impressed to remember that when our jumbo jet approached the Americas from the Pacific Ocean, we were looking down from the aisle window❗️🤟😭
as a huge NFL fan I love to see Sofi stadium from the sky, I hope to tour it next year, I love LA.
Great Video. Thanks For Posting.
I'm glad you enjoyed it my friend!
Excellent job! 🥇 😊👍
Man that was a smooth landing
Neat video 🎥👍🏻
I enjoyed it. seemed a little windy as i saw the wing flex a bit.
Damn that was smooth landing
Always a beautiful approach into LAX. Have you ever done it at night? That’s my favorite time.
I have done it at night. Several of them are on the channel already. It's always beautiful to see the city lights at night. Thanks for watching!
Cool thanks!!!!!!!!!
I used to love landing at LAX from the east.
Stunning Footage man! LA usually isn't this clear with all the smog lol
Thanks for watching my friend!
Awesome!
