Hey just so you know... those mini peppers? You can save and dry the seeds from them and start your own plants! I tried it last year on a whim, they grew beautifully and tons of sweet little peppers! Just a little FYI for you 😉
True, but they have to be from the US. If they cross the border, they’re irradiated for parasites, pests, bacterium, etc… This process renders all seeds sterile.
Adaline, take a little time in your meal prep sometimes to process your onion into a puree in your food processor, and pop it into ice cube trays and freeze. Then when you want to have the onion flavor, but not have the girls see it in the dish they going to eat, it is invisible. I did this right the way through my sons childhood and teenage years. He's 34 in a couple of weeks and though he adores onions now, he would not eat something the second he spied a piece of onion as a kid.
For your egg bake, I thought you could try pulling out your oven rack then place the sheet on, then pour in your eggs, that way you don’t need to carry them over and worry about spilling them. Also ziplock bags can be washed and reused, I do this as often as I can. It helps save money and helps reduce plastic garbage. This was a great video, thanks so much!
My boyfriends mom is turkish and also makes a bunch of freezer food for us to take home when we visit, great ones are dolma sometimes called sarma, börek and lahmacun (for this you‘d need a stone oven tho). They are incredibly delicious can highly recommend trying them!
I'd love to see a video of you using your air fryer to reheat these items. I've always struggled with getting things reheated well without consistency issues.
Few lil tips I use if it's something like a pasta sauce you are reheating in the stove add water so it doesn't burn and let it simmer until cooked through and evaporate the excess liquid. For other frozen goods like slices or meals I find it best to wrap in foil or individually portioned in containers for that day and then take out one serves worth or however many if you have a family and put it in the fridge to thaw the day before I want to use it that way when you reheat it won't be burnt on the outside and cook more evenly. It's a little bit of prep that goes a long way hope this helps :)
😮wow I think this is brilliant! Meal prepping food for freezer meals! This way you don’t wast a lot of food that can go bad in your fridge. This is a total game changer for me thank you!!
i thank my mum now im older that she got me eating right from so young ...i was like the only 1 in primary school to be eating like turkey salad n fruit n i rarely drank fizzy pop as a child n ive never thought wow i felt denied as its junk .so then i grew up n my lifestyle stayed healthy n still no pop..got with my partner who lived on takeaway n pop n he wondered why he felt like sh*t ....so we moved out n i told him ... you'll eat what i make or cook your own food...safe to say he was a typical lazy man n about 3 weeks in after a few tantrums of no pop n junk he thanked me n said i was so right he felt amazing ...i said eat shit.... feel like shit ...its that simple ...them egg trays are genius 💗💗
going to have to try the sausage balls for our smallgroup this week 😍 I put the bottoms of my green onions in a small glass with water on my windowsill and get a full two growbacks of use out of them. I know theyre super cheap but it reminds me how even when we are cut to the quick, we can make a full comeback if soaked in the living water 🙌🏻
@@shelbyg8352 i do just the whites... enough to cover the roots that will grow, it hasnt effected them to put more though. I reccomend clear so you can see if the bottom starts to mold and is ready to be tossed. I use a jelly jar or babyfood container but really whatever size will hold it upright
@@stillyourb if you don't do this (regrow) , you normally toss it out? 😲 In asia, we use the white bottom (minus the roots) for sauteing because there's a lot of flavor in them, and the green top is for garnish or at least the last one to be added to the dish because they wilt if cooked with the food.
Fun fact: shredded cheese in bags has like, corn starch on it to prevent it from sticking to itself. So shredding your own cheese DOES make it melt better... and it's so much cheaper! Plus, if you have a fancy food processor, it takes like A minute to grate an entire block!
I just found out it today at the store. Funny, I see it once more on the same day, but have never heard about it before. BUT in my case shredded cheese was cheaper and I bought shredded one because I don't consider starch a bad thing. :D
Girl, are you throwing away the whites of the scallions?! Those are just as tasty as the green part. I highly recommend you try them in your next meal!
I love the aesthetics of having lit candles while cooking but unless they’re completely unscented my brain can’t handle the combination of all the different smells
Quick suggestion, spray your pan and put the base ingredients on then and put it in your oven for five minutes. It will heat everything up a little bit and then when you pour your eggs in you can let them set up for another five minutes out of the oven and it will be easier to put the large sheet pan in for baking. You could even use the oven as your roasting pan/air fryer and cook all the vegetables and bacon in each baking sheet first.
It's banana skins that turn black in the freezer if you freeze them whole. The banana inside is still fine to eat, only the skins are black, but by freezing them peeled (like you are in your smoothie packs) you avoid the problem completely.
Don't know if you will see this since it's an older video but a PSA of a few tools & tricks that will help it go easier. Hamburger chopper- it has 4-6 fins on it to break up ground meat while browning it. Bash n chop aka dough or bench scraper- use it to pick up & move chopped items, divide or transfer dough, scrape residue off of counter, etc. Egg bites can be cooked in muffin cups. Might make storage easier than the flat rectangle from cooking it in a sheet pan. They can also be cooked in an Instant Pot but not sure how feasible that is in large batches. Don't know if you have a dehydrator (I'm a recent subscriber) but if so, dehydrate chopped or sliced strawberries during the summer to use in winter baking. I hope this helps.
Your meal prep videos are so inspiring! I kept thinking of my 17 yr old son while I was watching this- he’s like me and really enjoys food! 😋 Would love to try some of these recipes!
Love your monthly freezer meal prep videos!! I have never seen anyone else do meal prep for the freezer, so I would love to hear more about, how you know, that you are doing it in a healthy and in the right way? Maybe there are some specific things to keep in mind? Or just some basic tips on freezing meal prep. Would just love more details on the topic - and of course more recipes! Thanks for sharing :)
I love the little peppers. Made mini stuffed peppers topped with cheese, baked them off then froze for lunches. They reheated well. Served with a small side salad for a light lunch.
Wow! This is great and each recipe seams simple enough, will have to try a few over the weekend. Those glass containers are great for baking and then storing. Thanks for sharing the recipes with us!
Pre-shredded cheese usually has additives to keep it from sticking together The additives also help keep it from melting as smoothly as cheese you shred yourself
Oh my goodness, you are so inspiring. I do not really like cooking and find it incredibly challenging all round, but as a mum of 7 I really have no choice about it! Thank you for realistic, yummy looking and healthy ideas!
Hello! I am totally loving your videos! They are a tremendous help! I could never think of this many meals to fix for my family, and they all seem so quick and easy. I wish you would make a video showing how you put or pack these meals away in your freezer. Thanks for all you do. Keep the videos coming. 🤗
These ideas are incredible! I’ve done several of these for my budget friendly meal planning channel too and they’re SO good! Those sausage puffs are one of my favorites 😋 This video was so well done and wonderful to watch. Your recipes, filming, and editing are spot on! I can’t wait to go watch a bunch more of your videos. Thank you so much for posting this!
I would love to know about how you reheat all these. What’s the breakfast blend call for ? Do you reheat from frozen? Or is this a pull out the night before?
Hi, I wanted to leave a few pieces of information *note… I am not trying to come off as mean or rude… I just LOVE sharing interesting things I learned… I’m 24 and I am not a professional cook 😅 1-the reason why you feel shredding your own cheese is better then buy pre-shredded cheese is because pre-shredded cheese is covered in a fine powder so the cheese won’t stick together. The powder is what affects the cheese when it’s melting. Cool right. 2- if your going for healthy then making your own strawberry flavoring is better then store bought. Or you could substitute a jam. (Obviously you don’t have to listen… just interesting to me) 3- have you thought about dehydrating some meals? I keep seeing this couple online who go hiking and cross country trips and ship dehydrated meals to themselves (well someone from their family ships the meals to a destination pre-set.) I don’t have kids but I am looking into different cooking techniques. My mom did ‘Once-a-Month’ cooking and froze her meals. But I was looking into dehydrated foods because it would take less freezer space and would get freezer burn. What are your thoughts?
I have loved watching and learning from you Adaline. Just found your channel last month and subscribed immediately! I have already begun to freeze meals! Made homemade Tomatoe soup too! My daughters are picking up your tips for canning and now I just learned how to make my own oat flour! Thank you and God bless you and your dear family! ❤

I put my bacon on a baking sheet and put it in the oven, it's way faster than using a pan, I don't have an Air fryer, but have heard so many good things about it, maybe some day I'll buy one
I have cooked my bacon in the oven for well over ten years. No mess, no grease popping, and cooks evenly. I tried it recently in the air fryer and still much prefer the oven. It crinkled up in the air fryer, didn’t cook evenly, and you can’t fix nearly as many pieces as what I can on a baking sheet.
Great video...brilliant tip I learned when cooking bacon in the airfryer...put a little water in the bottom bin, this will keep the smoke down when cooking the bacon
Those green glass containers are one of the most used items in your kitchen! Haha I love it!! I can’t wait to buy them. Fingers crossed they are in stock this month!
Wow!! Everything looks so good!! Thank you for motivating me to make freezer meals again. I stopped for about a year & a half. I need to start back up again.
This video was great as usual. When it comes to freezing bananas I occasionally buy a smoothie mix with strawberries and bananas and they never brown. I love the idea of freezing coco nut milk cubes and put it in the smoothie mix. I always buy frozen mango and I usually have it in my oatmeal with some coconut oil. Yummy! Thanks for showing one of your frozen meal preps and how you serve it. Stay blessed!
