Depending on the recipes you selected, you can do it in an hour. Also, if you're making food for one person and repeat meals, that cuts down on the amount of prep significantly.
My husband and I were JUST talking about how we need to start meal prepping but we would rather do it separately instead of putting all the ingredients together. This is so inspiring, thank you!
America's Test Kitchen compared washing produce in vinegar vs baking soda to remove surface pesticides and only baking soda work. 1 tsp per 2 quarts of water. 30 seconds dip, swish, rinse.
As a Portuguese gal, a tip I always give is to have a big pan of soup for (almost) the whole week so I can have it as dinner, with a side of a few toasts and cheese or prosciutto. Then I do basically the same as you, separate the veggies and proteins and mix and match throughout the week 🥳
Love this! As an American, mama to 5, we eat soup daily-Asian style miso is a favorite for bfast, tomato basil is a lunch favorite and then heartier soups for dinner. Not all in one day but usually at least one soup meal per day. Bone broth is so good for our gut health. We’ve been doing this for 13 years and my kids have literally never needed antibiotic or even fever reducers. Soup as a healer is making a comeback!
I have this girl to thank for changing my life and getting me back into the gym. Been consistently cooking every Sunday now for the past two weeks and eating delicious meals between my workout. Thank you so much 🙏

@@TheCarolinaLifestyle I wish I could send you a photo or two of all the food I prepped for the week, thanks to your videos. You’re helping me more than you could ever know. Thank you again ☀️🙌🥰
I’m in the U.K., we don’t have Trader Joes here.. I’m a bit shocked at all the plastic they have! 😱 We have a lot of our veg loose and you have paper bags that you tear off and fill with what you need. It’s so much better as you can buy as much or as little as you need without wastage. Your video is so helpful, thank you! 🤗❤
Ah yes I know... most things here in the US have WAY too much plastic in the packaging! Glad you enjoyed the vid and sending love all the way to the UK!
Ok, so I have tried making this batch yesterday with my bf and everything turned out SO DELICIOUS I'M NOT EVEN JOKING. We will definitely repeat this! Also: the preparation was pretty fast and very easy. We spent 3h in the kitchen, but that's because we don't have an air fryer, so we baked almost everything. Still figuring out if the quantities are good for us :-) Thank you for this! ❤
I love seeing that you washed your lemons. I wash all fruits that have a peel. Even watermelon and pineapple. I mean everything. Some folk think you don't have to wash cantaloupe. Wash everything. Great video. TFS❤
I agree with keeping each food on its own and just mixing and matching throughout the week; food looks great! I did read or hear somewhere, though, that you should wait and wash fruit as you need it, not all at once when you buy it, so it will last longer.
Ingredient prep is game changing, happy you enjoyed the video!! Thanks for the tip - I've found with the berries it's basically the only fruit I prep before hand and helps just save time during my busy week day but always helpful to learn new things :) xx
you should try washing your fruit, especially berries, in a mix of 3 parts water and 1 part white vinegar. It kills the mold spores which cause the fruit to go bad, and makes it last way longer :)
The way I was absolutely shocked when I saw you only have 2k subscribers! This video is so helpful, especially since my bf and I just moved in together. We're so busy and try to prioritize our training and healthy eating, but sometimes when I get home from my 9-5 it takes everything in me to just get to the gym. By the time we're done I don't want to cook, but meal prepping hasn't worked well for me alone in the past. I think with it being both of us now it'll be better, especially since we can pick foods that we each like and can mix and match. THANK YOU for this! This lil 21 year old baby adult appreciates it lol. Instant sub!

Hi! I was just curious if this is something youre going to start sharing every week, or more often? I LOVE your bulk prep process...so I would love to see different variations of this process occasionally! Thanks!!!! xoxo
This video is awesome! My husband and I are in our fifties and sixties and looking for more efficient ways to eat healthy. Thanks for the step by step on food prep!
This is how I’ve been meal prepping for a few years now. Occasionally, I’ll prepare a triple batch of casseroles or soups for the freezer in case of emergencies (unexpected guests, illness, or just plain tired). I find this works best for us as well. I love the option of mixing and matching. And depending on the protein or the vegetable, I’ll cook them down with a basic salt and pepper sprinkle and later season with a specific seasoning…Italian, Mexican, Cajun, etc. If anyone has a hibachi grill, washing and chopping veggies ahead of time then tossing them on the grill is also a big time saver and SO delicious! Thanks so much for the video. Subscribed!
I do a combination. I meal prep completed salads & some vegetables like potatoes & carrots & courgettes & prepared meals like stuffed peppers & some fruits. I prepare soups & stews & veg like cabbages & sprouts & freeze. Likewise for meals like Shepard’s pie, lasagna & cauliflower cheese. I don’t wash berries in advance but will prepare apples, gooseberries & plums that are stewed down & divided & frozen to top yogurts. Whole apples & grapes are just washed, dried & separated for grab & go. Fish takes minutes to cook & chicken a little longer. I separate portions & add spices, not garlic & freeze. Pull out in the morning what you want to eat in the evening. If I change my mind which I often do, depending on events,it’s not a problem as the salads x 6 are prepped ready for tuna, cheese or ham which are my standbys. I’m too old & disinclined to spend 3 hours at any one time to meal prep & will trade that for the hour I spend prepping with a few minutes on each meal. I don’t meal prep with ready prepped veg as it oxidises quicker & I’m mindful of waste, which costs money. I meal prep to take advantage of what’s on sale, if I can freeze it or make something that will freeze. I like how you check your fridge & pantry before shopping & make a shopping list. So important.
Today was meal prep Wednesday for me after randomly coming across your channel. Made all of your recipes in 6 hours. 🙌🏻 Totally exhausted but it was worth it!
When u said “when I go to Trader Joe’s I end up buying more than I probably need or have room for in my fridge” I felt that wholeheartedly. That’s my life summed up
Hi i love this & am taking inspiration girl 🙏 Can you share more about how long this meal prep should last? Definitely correct me if im wrong but, idk about fish sitting in the fridge all week then eating it. Do you freeze any of the items after you cook it? Im really interested about how you go about presverving everything to last you. Thats the hardest part for me meal prepping for sure!
Impressed with your very healthy diet and prep tricks.... agree with you about keeping your prepared food elements seperately is the best way..... different foods last different amount of times...plus when stored seperately their flavors stay original to the item.... I never shop without a list ...(I am on the computer about 8-10 hours a day for work ....so I keep a piece of paper next to the computer so when I think of an item I need it goes on the list...saves a lot of time and money having a list)
I am so thankful I came across your channel I started meal prepping for me and my boyfriend about 5 months ago, and I feel as I learn new things each time I watch this videos, I love that you took us shopping with you, you showed me is also possible to have a balance and have more free time for us when you mentioned you had to be somewhere at 2 I was curious how you would get done with all the meal prep in time , but seeing this makes me hopeful to have a life on sundays too
this is amazing! I’m going to try this next week instead of regular meal prepping because it seems a lot more convenient to choose what you feel like through out the week!
Wow. I always tried to pre-plan meals & stick them in individual containers. This looks way more fun & easy to just mix and match throughout the week! Thanks
I love this! This is a huge pain point in my current life, and as always, trying to do better! ;) I'll check out more of your videos but I would love to see how you reheat these items to avoid lack of flavor, mushy food, etc.
I'm so happy you love!! Def lots more heathy food + recipe videos coming in the future :)Most days I eat nourish bowls for lunch with lettuce in the bottom and then I select which ingredients I want to eat with it and reheat those in the microwave! Love it. That's how I do my meal prep. I just can't eat the same food for a while. It is very good and helpful to eat clean throughout the week. Without getting bored 👍
I found your video to be super helpful, thank you for making it!! I would like to know how you go about reheating foods and which foods you dont recommend to heat up.
Hi I just came across this video and Im obsessed how organize and detail you were!!! Few questions 1) With what do you hand wash it with for the potatoes and bananas? 2) Is it better to wash produce with filter water compare to unfiltered water ? 3) what filter you use ? 4) What air fryer do you use? 5) How long do you store your meal prep? Sorry for too many questions I have no knowledge about anything with cooking and meal prep and I wanna change that. New subscriber and can’t wait to see more videos 🫶🏼
Wow this is so similar to my system but this amount of food would take me almost a month to finish (But it’s just me haha)! Since I work from home now, I don’t use a smaller Tupperware for each dish. I keep everything in their big containers and plate them as I eat throughout the day. For just me I found that prepping two proteins, two carbs, and two veggie dishes are enough variety and last me 1.5 weeks.
YESSSS find what works for you angel, and proud of you! As I said in the beginning of the vid, I meal prep for me and my boyfriend and we both eat at home a lot throughout the week so this lasted us ~6ish days!! xx
Awesome video; very easy to follow and I love the recipe ingredients posted on the screen. The recipes look so good and you make meal prep look so easy.

I love this type of meal prep! Rainbow Plant life made a similar video, and Downshiftology made a few videos like this if you all would like more recipes/ideas/inspo!
I've been in such a food rut, and ordering take out/eating out so much, and spending way too much money from that! I've been intimidated by cooking, but this video was so so helpful, and I can't wait to go to TJ's right now :) Quick question, how do you reheat your food during the week?
I have been Interested in meal prep before but detoured from it because of well you mention in the beginning of your video because most ppl pre make the meals so that is what your limited to eating but I much prefer your way pre make everything and then fix what you feel like eating that day or next so you can have variety not the same thing over and over so thank you for that insight 😉 now I may actually give meal prep a go ! 😊
just found your channel and I am obsesseddd ✨ this was so helpful to see realistic & simple dishes. loved that you walked us through step by step too :)
omg that's so smart... trying to get into meal prepping and everyone keeps making premade bowls and the prospect of eating the same exact curated meal for a weak was stressing me tf out LMAO. how did i not realize this way sooner?!!
Love this! Thank you for the video. It's exactly what I was looking for. I was wondering how long you can keep the food though? Doesn't it go bad in 3 days? (Especially Salmon etc). This is the only worry I have about meal prepping. I cook everyday because of that but I CANNOT ANYMORE haha
Okay let me just say that shopping trip at Trader Joe's with the music in the background excited me so much!!!!! 😍We don't have a Trader Joe's in my area but I will be driving one hour away to get to one😇Thank you for this video, You have encouraged me to give this a try for our family because we are trying to switch up our eating habits. And PLEASE by all means share the song you played in the background!!!!!🥰😍🤩😇
I Love this, I like that you’re walking us through each 🙏 ❤ Also, how long does the meal prep last in the fridge (before it expires) And How long do you defrost them for & defrost in fridge or outside? Thank you!!! Loving this, Great work 👏 ❤
This is such an all around great video! Just the boost I needed to get to keeping prepped meals in the house! Thanks for this, girl! You have a new subscriber
i just made the turmeric and lemon chicken, salmon, and roasted cauliflower and everything tastes amazing! i've never meal prepped before but these recipes made everything feel so achievable and easy. thanks for making such great content :)
This is so helpful! Trying to eat out less and eat healthier by cooking for me and my bf. A question though- do you find that all of these foods last well the whole week? Or should some be eaten first?
LOLLLLL there's something about the bananas being touched by a bunch of people in the grocery store and then sitting on my kitchen counter like that hahahah maybe it's just a me thing
@TheCarolinaLifestyle No. I do it too. I bought bananas near the checkout of my local green grocery once. When I got them home, they literally smelled like someone's hands. I washed them but couldn't get the smell out, so I tossed them. So, I always wash my bananas and never buy anything near the register lol....too many hands and breath on them.
I don't just wash my fresh produce, I spray and wipe all my groceries because I imagine people touching everything. When you're preparing food, you're handling all the containers that were sitting on supermarket shelves, who knows who touched them or what vermin walked over them lol
I really appreciate you saying it took 3-4 hours. People always claim it takes an hour or so and I feel stupid cos I'm never able to do it so fast.
Depending on the recipes you selected, you can do it in an hour. Also, if you're making food for one person and repeat meals, that cuts down on the amount of prep significantly.
One tip: the broccoli 🥦 stems can be cut into thin strips and they taste great. Helps cut down on waste.
I also freeze them and when I have enough I make broccoli cream... The stems add so much to the texture! I love it
Yes, and also they have a lot of nutrition value, more than the other parts of the broccoli!
when I was a kid, these were my favorite pieces!! they're so crunchy!!
Or put it in broth if you no-waste make broth from (chicken) bones
My husband and I were JUST talking about how we need to start meal prepping but we would rather do it separately instead of putting all the ingredients together. This is so inspiring, thank you!
OMG YESSSSSS!! I'm so glad you found the vid in perfect timing
America's Test Kitchen compared washing produce in vinegar vs baking soda to remove surface pesticides and only baking soda work. 1 tsp per 2 quarts of water. 30 seconds dip, swish, rinse.
Good to know. Thanks for sharing that info!
Oh wow. Good to know. I was previously using vinegar to soak and making baking soda paste to scrub things like apples.

As another Portuguese gal, I agree. Soup for dinner is so tasty and full of vitamins, plus really easy to freeze as well.
Another Portuguesa here, I can't remember of any dingle household that doesn't have soup. Such a stapple
Love this! As an American, mama to 5, we eat soup daily-Asian style miso is a favorite for bfast, tomato basil is a lunch favorite and then heartier soups for dinner.
AHHHH so glad to hear it! I usually just use the microwave :)
Love this - just can't eat all that oil as it does not agree with me but I loved the spice combinations and all the variety! Thank you so much 😍
I love "building block" meal prep 💜
we love to see it!!
AHHHH SO GLADDDD! Welcome!!!
Girl, you’re amazing for sharing this ❤ THANK YOU
An excellent video. Makes it way less overwhelming. Thank you.
YAYYYY so glad to hear it!!
Thanks for sharing, Carolina. Loved the organisation & your recipiea look delicious. I'm definitely going to try them.
omg that's so smart... trying to get into meal prepping and everyone keeps making premade bowls and the prospect of eating the same exact curated meal for a weak was stressing me tf out LMAO. how did i not realize this way sooner?!!
YESSSSS I simply cannot repeat meals hahaha this is truly a game changing method!
Wow - you're so organised. Great video!
First time I've seen one of your videos. I AM a vegan, and loved how you processed your veggies! Thanks!
Love to see it !!! Let me know if you tried any of the veg dishes :)
love this ive been trying to meal prep and hate eating the same thing everyday! This is way more doable for me
Is there any foods you would recommend eating first so it doesnt got bad? E.g does the cooked fish last a week?
Love the mix n match prepping. I couldn’t eat the same meal 4 or 5 times a week! Well, pizza or Buffalo tempeh, I can eat those multiple times a week!
I totally think it's a superior way of meal prepping!!!
So helpful, healthy, and delicious! Can’t wait to try out some of these!
you can use degradble parchment paper in place of Aluminum foil
Okay let me just say that shopping trip at Trader Joe's with the music in the background excited me so much!!!!! 😍We don't have a Trader Joe's in my area but I will be driving one hour away to get to one😇Thank you for this video, You have encouraged me to give this a try for our family because we are trying to switch up our eating habits. And PLEASE by all means share the song you played in the background!!!!!🥰😍🤩😇
Traders Joes is a VIBE! I got all my music from Epidemic Sound
Thank you for the video. How do you store it? In the freezer?
Hello. I found your video to be very helpful with meal prep. Do you reheat the food on the day you eat it as a meal? How do you reheat the items?
Loved ur cooking process, and as a brazilian, I loved the song choice.
I Love this,
I like that you’re walking us through each 🙏 ❤
Also, how long does the meal prep last in the fridge (before it expires)
And How long do you defrost them for & defrost in fridge or outside?
Thank you!!!
Loving this, Great work 👏 ❤
This is such an all around great video! Just the boost I needed to get to keeping prepped meals in the house! Thanks for this, girl! You have a new subscriber
YAYYYYY so happy that that's the case! I am happy you're a part of my YT fam
Loved the video. Also the tip of making a list of things u have and need is very helpful
Right!!!! gamechanging to make a list before going to the supermarket !!
For years I used to go to the same traders Joes location :) moved and now yellow whole foods and Costco :) great job, thanks!
AWWWW trader joes twins! Costco & whole foods are awesome !!!
how do you re-heat? and how long will things last? e.g will you eat that cooked chicken 6-7 days later?
I reheat on the microwave or stovetop normally :) and I usually tbh my cooked chicken is gone by 3-4ish days because I share everything w my partner!!
The music in the background is excellent. In general a really good video!
Thank you so much!
I totally agree air fryer has made meal prepping super easy. Great video
truly gamechanging!!!
Wow, this is amazing and very helpful!
❤ Nice job! You certainly have mastered meal prepping. Loving all the vegetables in your meals. Very healthy. Good job.❤

THIS IS LEGENDARY
this made me think of How I Met Your Mother lollll LOVE TO HEAR IT
i just made the turmeric and lemon chicken, salmon, and roasted cauliflower and everything tastes amazing! i've never meal prepped before but these recipes made everything feel so achievable and easy. thanks for making such great content :)
Great job! This is an excellent video!! I think this is the first meal prep outline where I don't need to sub anything to suit my family.
OMG so glad to hear it!!!
This is so helpful! Trying to eat out less and eat healthier by cooking for me and my bf. A question though- do you find that all of these foods last well the whole week? Or should some be eaten first?
I would start with the fish dishes first!! Otherwise everything else should be the same :)
Amazing tips! can't wait to try to make some ☺ loved hearing some Brazilian music in your video 🥰
Keep me posted on what you try!!! And yessss love to hear it, I'm brazilian so had to incorporate some of that into the vid :)
@@TheCarolinaLifestyle amazing, thought you were, me too! ☺
I chuckled when you washed the bananas
LOLLLLL there's something about the bananas being touched by a bunch of people in the grocery store and then sitting on my kitchen counter like that hahahah maybe it's just a me thing
@@TheCarolinaLifestyle honestly you’re right I think you got me into a new habit
The way you say browse made my heart happy😂💅🏻
Yes!!! I have immediately subscribed!!! I love love love your content. This is the meal prep I would love to do… thank you 🙏
