Are smartphones as bad as everyone is making out?

We asked a neuroscientist the impact that smartphones are really having.
It's easy to say "ban them" but for some parents having restbite can make them better parents. Giving them time to cook the dinner, do the washing up.
What we can control is what our children are watching on them. It was great to see the other side of this rather than simply demonising smartphones.
