Skeptoid podcast details the studies that show the carbon footprint of a reusable bag is ~20K greater than a plastic bag. So if this hippy, woke, feminist, would actually be interested in data, maybe she would be more informed about reality.

I remember when I was a kid we were told constantly about how "girls rule and boys drool" and all that nonsense. I thought it was fun to be a girl. We were different from boys and that made us cool. But I still liked boys and thought they were cool too. Now as an adult, it makes me cringe so hard to see what "womanhood" has become. I still think women are great in their traditional feminine roles- there's lots of cool women out there. But this heightened stupidity thinking that just because you have two X chromosomes means that you are a literal goddess and should be worshipped as such and anything outside of that is lesser scum... That's not right. In fact, it's sick. It's even what the kids might call _"Toxic."_ Female vanity has gotten out of control.

In general, the modern American woman can be summed up by one statement: "If he doesn't accept me for who I am, then I'll find another man." That same woman two minutes later begins to list out their requirements of what they demand of men (obviously not accepting a man for who he is). Women bag on men so much, but finding a level-headed/fair woman in 2022 is like searching for a Unicorn in a room full of donkeys wearing Unicorn-costumes. (I'm glad I found my partner before Tinder and Tiktok generation.)

What's some what worse, is the perfection, like what you said a "literal goddess!!!" It's annoying that in fiction (in the west) have too perfect characters (not in a power way, so no need to point out OP mc)... Maybe I'm reading/watching old stories but hot damnn, remember when having a weak or flawed character doesn't make you being prejudice against the character's ethnic, gender, and etc group, ;-;...

Here in California, every store has signs asking you to bring re useable bags, but I have been accosted several times, and outright banned from two stores for bringing my own bag, because these same stores also have a policy of not bringing bags into the store because they fear theft. I do not drive. I carry my own bags everywhere I go, as I have to walk miles with anything I purchase. Funnily enough, if I bring a women's purse, instead of a back pack, no one bats an eye and I am left alone. If I do not present as gay, I'm accused of stealing. If I queer it up a bit I can do as I please.

Right. Feminism is just another radical branch of Marxism. They and the entire Social Justice left don’t understand how good they have it not only in the west but especially in the United States. Ironic that while they call men “trash” and disparage our Republic, they’re making videos on TikTok, a Chinese company that’s beholden to the CCP which has camps that harvest the organs of the Uyghur ethnic minority. So go ahead feminists and tell us again how awful men and the US are.

@Joe Rogaine A woman who’s last name was Bechdel wrote a joke that was satire. It was that if you don’t have a scene where a women is talking to another woman, and not about a man, then it fails. This became known as the bechdel test. The irony is she knew that was a terrible measure for judging a scene. Yet the feminists use it un-ironically. She knew it left out to many important factors, and would never use it for real, hence satire. The problem is feminists will use anything to paint them as victims, and this worked. So always remember that even when joking these nut jobs may use what you say to play the victim.

To what 'equality' do you refer? More men are homeless, more men die at work, more men work dangerous jobs, men in prison outnumber women 10:1, if you include prison rape/sexual assault in national figures (I'm sure you can figure out why they don't) men get raped more than women. More women attempt suicide (aka attention whoring) yet more men successfully commit self end. Men are slowly being phased out of higher education, grade school classrooms are designed to teach girls; boys are being hamstrung and left behind and you're on about 'equality' Women in the western world are more privileged and venerated than any other segment of society. You can fart in a jar or sell your panties and make a nice living. They don't want to make sanitation workers or plumbers unions 'equal' they want the top 10% of industry (all created and fostered to success by MEN) Equality only works when people are actually equal...they're not

As a married guy one of the nicest weekends I've had in the last 20 years was when the wife was giving me the silent treatment (early in the marriage). I didn't realize that she was mad about anything, just thought I was having a very relaxing weekend. She was even more mad when she found out how happy I was. When I found out what was going on I couldn't stop laughing so she stomped her foot and threw a cheeseburger at my head. Unfortunately I won't be getting the silent treatment ever again no matter how badly I mess up. But I did get a good story to tell at most social gatherings (she's not happy about that either). She just rolls her eyes whenever I tell the story.
I'd happily give them silence if they'd return the favor.

I'm sure she has as many if not more stories about me being a guy (stoopid) as I do about her being a chick. It was more about how stereotypical men/women see things differently, the silent treatment is painful for most women and not a big deal for most men, if we even notice that it's going on. If she really wanted to punish me she could have taken me to the mall to go underwear shopping and made me stand there holding the bags while she chatted with the clerks about chick stuff, but to her that would be a fun day.

In fact, recycling doesn't do shit because 99% of everything you're FORCED to recycle (as in, when you're mandated to have a recycling bin at your house/apartment) IS ALL MIXED IN TOGETHER AT THE DUMP ANYWAY. They don't separate that shit. There are specific and very few actual recycling centers that separate certain glasses and certain woody material to repurpose, and most the time when you see "made from recycled material" on a product, it is made with less than .5% of some recycled thing, but it's an excuse to charge you 3x as much or more for that stupid product.

Yup, they purposefully ignore points and highlight certain events in order to peddle certain ideologies. Their intention is to change peoples' mindsets in order for them to be manipulated more easily. It is so much easier to prevent someone to from doing something by saying "this is -ist/-ism" rather than convincing them to not do something by explaining it through logic and providing examples where said logic applies.

    • @Snoop_Dugg

Well I saw this interesting perspective from this Indian guy who called it a 'Colonialist arrogant attitude' or something like that.
Countries like India and China do all of the production for the US etc. (and so it should really be their pollution proportion) but it just gets blamed on them.
And it's kind of true. If Apple produced Iphones in the US, then suddenly the pollution statistics would increase in the US. And that complicates the statistics of which countries are really the world's biggest polluters.
I wouldn't say the articles are for ad revenue only. A lot of corporations would rather push this battle of the sexes, and culture wars because it distracts from the corruption, lobbying and legislation being passed to enable their immense profits. Look at the huge backlash against the 'Right to Repair' movement.

    • @sexistspaghettios
      @sexistspaghettios 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

@@Snoop_Dugg I'll start off by saying I agree with that person that It's nimbyst BS that people complain about pollution here while outsourcing it to a different country across the world.
It's also fair to say that if those jobs were here (while true that our pollution would go up just by sheer volume of production) the pollution wouldn't be nearly as bad simply by way of how regulated we are against said pollution. Way stricter on that in the states. So there is room for criticism there.
It would also have the added benefit of producing jobs here. It's very nymbist of people to complain about polluting the world while turning a blind eye to the pollution, as that person said, that we shipped over seas. The difference being for me is I'm all for being those jobs back here.
More work/export for us, less pollution on the world. 🤷🏼‍♂️
Edit: I would also add that it's not our pollution if they agree to do the production there but continue to ignore how much pollution they produce. They could very well do more to fix the problem. They could also choose not to be "colonized" by us and tell them they aren't going to produce things "for us" as if they aren't benefiting from having those jobs. The more I think of that person's "perspective" the more it "sounds like a bunch of commie gobbledygook"

My family has always used them as bags for tiny trash cans. A lot more convenient than buying an entire box of tiny trash bags.

Yeah, exactly. What kind of a psychotic uses a bag to carry 4 cans of food home, then just trashes the bag? Morons.

Saves me from buying trash bags, poop bags, disposable gloves, and more. We recycle, just not by putting things in the blue trash can, since that's where most of it ends up anyway.
