Great burger Kent! Just a rant for me about BK: For fast food, for me, BK is the choice if the stars are aligned, BUT BK, in my experience, has poor quality consistency from place to place. If a whopper is done good, cool. But so often it is not. Most of the time you'll get something where the mayo is slopped off to one side, the tomato, onion and cheese is half hanging off the bun and it's squashed and barely warm as if someone had it under their armpit for 5 minutes before putting it in the bag. But, done on a good day, it's a pretty good fast food option. Love them or hate them, Mc D's has consistency down. You may not like the food but it's consistent. A big mac or QP is pretty much the same wherever you go. It's not like rolling the dice at BK.
Like coming home every time a new video is posted loving the content and hoping to get to where this man is at some point. Beautiful part of the world.
We're glad you got yourself out of trouble and showed us what a real Whopper burger looks like. I use Hatch Chile Peppers on my burgers. Mmmmm mmmm mmmm.

As a truck driver. I dont play with disrespect food. Anymore. I bought a little grill and cook on the back of my semi. You have made my life a little more better. I can put the in my refrigerator in my semi. Ty .
When i worked at BK way back when, thats what they use for cooking the meat. A conveyor belt that run it through the broiler. And theres a slot on one end that is used for chicken. And you place a bin on the other side for the cooked side to catch the chicken once it's done.

A Chicago restaurant chain called Portillo's uses a similar flame broiler conveyor as Burger King and the burger that comes out is one hell of a lot better than BK! When you fried the bacon it reminded me of my first job when I was 16. (1977) I was a cook in a small restaurant and I used to fry the bacon instead of grilling. Until my manager saw it... then I had to go back to the grill! The same manager could never figure out why our customers were complimenting our french fries when I was cooking. I am from Montana and had never had a Burger King whopper until I joined the Army in 1995. The reason I’d never tried them before was because my buddy, who was also my mentor was always saying the patties were supper thin and just not good. So after I got to AIT where all Army folk do their training, one of my friends and I were walking around the post and it was lunchtime on a weekend and I got a whiff of what seemed to me to be a delightful smell. I asked my friend if he smelled it and what it was, he said oh that’s burger king. Long story short, tried my first whopper in 1995 and have decided it’s one of the best fast food burgers!
I used to love treating myself to a Whopper once a month when I worked in White Plains NY. Since I retired and moved to Vermont, I suspect I'd have to drive two hours to a Burger King, too. Your recreation looked wonderful!
When I was in high school I worked at a Burger King. The smell of a flame broiled patty still takes me back. I think they're underrated for fast food burgers honestly. They have lettuce, tomatoes and mayo but there was no seasoning on the patties. They were placed frozen onto the broiler without any salt/pepper though that would really have added something. Thanks for the video Kent.

I agree that grinding your own beef makes a tremendous difference in texture in addition to being safer than store bought ground beef. Thanks for the kind words for the hard-working folks at Burger King! They work hard to keep busy, hungry customers fed.
The Whopper with cheese is my favorite national chain burger . I like that if you eat it fresh the toppings are still cold , just like a home burger . And the taste from using flames . This looks like an outstanding answer to the original .
My fast food complaint is, the burger you order and receive never looks like the representation of that burger on their food board. Come on guys, get your act together and learn from Cowboy Kent what a burger should look and taste like.
