As an orphan in care, this day comes for all our babies as they leave the security of their small aviary and head off to the big house.
This transition marks an important milestone as they are fully weaned and more than ready to take on a new life with adults and different flying-fox species in care.
Miss Tia will settle quickly and in a day or so, she'll meld in with the pack and become a big batty further along the road to soft release back to the wild.

Oh, poor little Tia, I know exactly what that feels like all these years after my first day at Kindergarten. She is REALLY not sure about this, biting the blanket, eyes wide and hopeful you won’t leave her there…and ears going everywhere at once. No doubt she will soon discover there is fun to be had…but she sure tugs at your heartstrings.🖤🇨🇦

She's too small to put her in with the older bats that BITE. She would have her mom to protect her and show her how to deal with the others. If you are sending her over too soon because you're overwhelmed, then get more help, don't get lazy.
