This is with Jake who gave the most respect to Randy’s original writing.
I agree.
Jake's playing on this is in honor of Randy.
Pisses me off how the camera hardly never shows Jake. He sounds amazing.
These live videos are frequently very poorly edited. The multiple cameras are getting good shots but in the studio the editors are clueless about what should be shown and when. The guitarist or drummer will be doing some impressive section and they wont even show them doing it. Complete morons who know nothing about the music.
indeed. As someone who still have the magazine containing the festival programme for that week, it seems that (unfortunately) alot of media folks were too focused on fully capturing whatever unexpected crazy thing Ozzy might do on stage around that time.
Probably had too much stage presence for Sharon.
Jake is my to Ozzy guitarist for sure.
Jake is crisp, loud, & totally on fire here, just bloody brilliant all round.
My favorite Ozzy guitarist, yes randy was a genius, but jake just fit the style so well.
Jake's over there killing it and the camera is forcing us to watch sweat pouring off of Ozzy.
Tommy Aldridge is an absolute beast on this song
How Jake plays with out a tremolo bar is very cool
How on EARTH do you pull off that solo with no whammy bar?! Jake is a BAD MAN!!!
Love this audio mix. Jake is so prominent. As he always should be.
I’ve read Randy,Jake and Demartini shared an apartment together the jams from that joint must have been amazing!
I think Jake is one of the most underrated guitarist.
Jake has the best stage presence & is ripping it up !
Aldridge hits the intro. Ozzy’s expression “never heard that before. Is this one of our songs?” Then nails it.
wasted lmao
😂😂😂😂
He does that a lot 😂
Ah ah i thought the same....killer comment....
That's hilarious 😂😂😂❤
They don't make songs like this anymore ........ The good old days ......😮
Jake, Bob and Tommy such a squad...🤘
Awesome tune and a great album
Saw Ozzy on this tour when I in my beloved youth.
I haven’t seen this one before, thanks for posting.
I got to see Ozzy and Randy on 2/8/1982 in Detroit.
Jake is a beast
100% Agree!
He was the only Ozzy guitar player who made the Randy stuff sound like it was Jake’s material but at the same time he played the solos very close to the originals. Really hard to do all that. He ruled. He owned all of it. Terrible blow for him to be fired. And to me it was sad he went in a derivative blues direction with Badlands, as good as they were at it. I think I can speak for others who thought he was capable of something next level. 😢
Better than Randy imo
@@user-wt6ph8kq9e Randy's stuff like Mr. Crowley , Over the Mountain , Crazy train is legendary . Jake's stuff not as much . People just say he's better .. because they like his technical skills , and that he could play fast . Randy was the better composer . Their is a reason his songs with Ozzy , are more popular 30 plus years later .
When not wearing a hooded robe and carrying a sickle, Father Time Tommy Aldridge continues to showcase the tasteful licks one can accomplish with two bass drums incorporated into fills and accents. Tommy came out of the woodshed pretty proficient. His work with the Gregorian Monks in the 9th & 10th centuries on their live scroll “Speakus de Deveilus” with Randolphus Rhodus on lute is way ahead of its time.
Jake was my second favorite Ozzy guitarist next to Randy. Wish he would have stayed with him
He probably would have stayed longer but they fired him…
sunday is crank it up day! love ozzy! awwwwwwwwwwwwww the 80esss unlike the music we have today!
This incredible show and song makes me miss the days before music hit the rock bottom that it has today. 🤘🎸🎤🥁
Jake played great on this song
i agree, you should see him do Flying High and Centry of Eternity at the show.
@@gordon9177 I have, he was ridiculously good with his playing live
@@joe-ti8cj he gotten better at playing live, with his moves and holding his guitar.
Jake is f'n ripping!
Ozzy's vocals man.
He could babble around but then he goes all out and hits perfect performances. Just amazing. What an era that was.
It's redubbed. It's not the original vocal performance
Well that vocal performance had ozzy doing a very high wire act as his voice was vapor locking in the upper register of this song so he was choosing his notes wisely.
You did hear his voice crack multiple times, no?
@@JOZoSo. Oh for sure. He's never been a great vocalist. He knows that. But he has his niche. His sound guys know where he has issues and they quiet his mic in those places on those nights. He has both cracks and squeaks.
Thank you for this brother.
Anyone else notice the fight break out in the crowd at 1:45? Look just to the left of the very middle of the screen. They was throwin' haymakers!
this is Brazil !!!! 😄😄😄😄
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I was just scrolling down to see if anyone else already made this observation as well. they were throwing hands like a mofo. wonder how they got past editing? or if anyone in editing even caught it.
Yes, definitely, a major fight broke
Killer version. Not an easy one for any of them.
Jake’s LIVE sound was always overprocessed for my taste but not here. He sounds fantastic.
Ozzy has played with some amazing guitarists, that we know, however... Drummers! Bill ward, Lee kerslake, tommy, randy Castillo, etc equally as impressive as the guitarists he's sang with
Love on the final bridge Jake uses that chorus … way cool
Sounds more like a flanger to me
Let’s not forget the almighty Bob Daisley. Lee Kerslake to make it complete.
Rock🤘
Ozzy!!!! Fuck yeah!!!
Ozzy jawing hard asf at the end of the video. Coke had me doing that shit too
Jake is awesome!
Ozzy❤❤❤
Jake is playing an icon lead solo and the camera is looking away from him 🥺
jake e lee
Que chingón se escucha !! 🤘
🔥🔥🔥
Jake was such a badass guitar player. My guess is Randy would've been pleased with his successor.
🙋⚡✨
You don't need a ticket to fly with me,I'm free!!
🤘🏼👹🤘🏼
Way too fast but very cool, clean sound.
The fucking man!!
01:46 Alguém levou uma surra. haha
Jake is awesome as always gotta love him great personality
Eu tava ai...
MindOnACarpet😊
Never seen Bob Daisley play a Rick before.
All these close ups of Ozzy and Tommy. Not one shot of Bob Daisley and no close ups of Jake E Lee during the solo. Disgusting.
Sharon behind.....
@@fabiogirardi2050 Jake E. Lee's story about the bassist who thought he was gonna play US Festival was crazy. Ozzy head butted this guy for apparently no reason. He shows up at US Fest thinking he's playing the gig and Bob Daisley is there to perform instead. Dude did not know he was fired from the band and invited a bunch of his family members in the area. I think Bob Daisley ended up playing the guy's BC Rich bass. Unless it was his own. Not sure.
@@mrpolitenessman3539 The guy they were grooming to replace Bob Daisley got the real head butt right before The US Festival in 1983. Jake E. Lee told the story.
1:46 not a mosh pit, actual fight
The intro..take a look on annihilator "road to ruin"
Bad ass intro for both.
Peace and love from Israel ✌️
Ozzy live!! Master fucking class!! GOAT!!!
i love how badly ozzy mangled the lyrics lol
This isn’t the actual music to this video. The music is from a 1984 concert not Rock in Rio…but still an awesome performance and great video dubbing
I am glad, you now the art of Ozzy very well. The audio (1984) is not from Rock in Rio 1985.
It’s audio from this show clearly. Isn’t it? Nothing about it suggests otherwise other than the video is a little out of sync.
@@Twotontessie it's not from this show.
Which concert was this audio taken from ?
Omg Ozzy is so fckn coked out here.... Him grinding his teeth at the end was crazy
Check out how the Osborne’s treaded Jake. 😳
I was there!! N
Ozzy's face at the end. No coke involved there
Somebody give Ozzy a towel
Nothing is live here !
This isn't Rock In Rio audio......
Ozzy’s coked up
That's like saying the sky is blue😂
Really? Wow. ain't you some kind of genius.
E a porrada comendo no meio da música ? kkkkkkkkkkkkkk
Pode crê! Hell de Janeiro.
Kkkkkkkk todo show de heavy metal tem que ter porrada, se não, não tem graca😁😁
Camera always hatin on oOzzys guitarists. We know whats up tho smh
Sharon was behind every camera of every show of his husband ...
Is jake using a coin?
ok, I gotta ask, what does that mean?
@@gordon9177 when he picks and strums the guitar strings it sounds like a percussive metallic sound.
@@savagedick1462 ah ok. No, Jakes guitar (whitey) is a Ash body, that’s why it sounds like that.
@Sly Rax why would he ask that? I must be missing something.
Thumbs down for crappy camera work. they only had Jake on camera a few seconds total.
sorry , if it's not Randy and that tone of his , I don't even wanna hear it
As far as Ozzy being coked out of his mind....well Peru and Columbia isn't too far away from Rio. He must have been sampling the local product. Just sayin'.
Wow, typical. During the ass kicker solo, we get to see the back of the keyboard player or anything else besides Jake. Pathetic.
Randy Rhoads was way better than Jake. No one will ever touch Randy Rhoads Randy was way better with Ozzie. Randy Rhodes was the greatest of all times and still to this day. He still is rest in peace brother.
Randy sounded always out of tune...just sayin.
Jake E. Lee could play the notes, but played with none of the spirit of Randy.
I was in this show., I agree his is not randy but he s great , he never intend to copy randy
I agree Javier....the touch and feeling of R2 Is Unique....
