More people need to know about Bob Daisley and his contributions.
I saw Ozzy with Randy Rhodes in 1981 but at the show I was not happy to see Rudy Sarzo in place of Bob Daisley.
@@deathmetaldouglas69 Same here. Then again the tickets we originally had said Black Sabbath.
He is a great player! Love his playing!
Great player, lyricist and all round good egg
Hey, when did he replace Rudy Sarzo? Because I was under the impression that he was still with Ozzy during the Jake Lee years.
Jake E Lee! Shredding! Giant tone! He deserved more props than he got.
Great performance, but a little overy the top with the body language made his playing pretty sloppy overall.. serve the song!

Way better than Zakk IMO!

Aldridge is a vampire! Looked old in the 80’s and looks the same in 2024 😂
and the dude is still an absolute beast behind the kit. I love watching him play, even today he's still putting it all out there!
He looksf like Tom Baker DR WHO)😁
Are you trying to say he sucks ?,,,lol
He was in his 20's in the 1980's. He's now 73 years old.
@@rednaxelahcitorfaznebo2830 No he was born in 1948 so he was in his 30's by the 80's.
I'm a Rhoads freak. He is my favorite all time guitarist ever. I saw this tour and Jake blew my mind. He's def Ozzy's best guitarist after Randy of course. Jake is way under rated. The man is an amazing guitar player
Jake E. Lee is NOT underrated. He's very highly regarded, popular and influential.
Beethoven was sooo underrated, too.
I saw randy on first blizzard tour, and later Jake….having enjoyed and studied both for 40+ yrs,…although this may be unpopular and near sacrilege, Jake is a better player, BUT that doesn’t mean he is better, randy was a better writer and composer which may mean more…..none of ozzy’s guitarist have equaled the compositions on diary of a madman, Randy’s writing was so adventurous, harmonically rich and complex….not really good for me to say either is better, both are better than 95% of the guys then, and a million times better than me
Allways some f*** with that "underrated" comment! Underrated by who, you??
@@Joni_Papillon Always some f*** getting triggered b the word underrated. Cope harder.
Back when being a talented musician meant something...
Tommy still plays like that today, phenomenal talent.
Let alone his endurance to this day. He is 73 and hits the drums harder than most.
The Amazing Flailing Puffball!😂😂
Saw him with Ted Nugent a few years back ! Very overlooked drummer. And I met him and he's a really nice person as well.
Fuck yea. Tommy is an animal
I know this term gets tossed around a lot, but Tommy imo is so underrated. He's one of the drummers I taught myself how to drum playing along to his songs. I liked him in whitesnake, too. I like how Tommy actually utilizes and plays his entire cymbal setup. Its not there just for show or to have a stereotypical big 1980s drum setup lol. Some guys back then and even today have a huge array of cymbals on their live kits but only use the main crashes in front but even till this day Tommy still uses the same drum set configuration and uses all his cymbals.
Goosebumps allover my body!!
I was 18 and I´m still alive. ;-)
wow its a shame the music cant be like this today 😢
Really right
Not a single cell phone @ all! Love it 💯 we rule!!! gen x baby 🎸🤘
Yes, because they didn't exist, dude. If you had cellphones back, then you would have used them like the kids use them today.
Ozzy has been my favorite since the first time I heard him in 86.
I have always loved the sound of Tommy Aldridge's drums.
He's truly a master
Ozzy never lacked getting the best guitar players on the planet. Loved Jake, What a treat!
Being Ozzy has its benefits
Said it then, still say it now - he was a wannabe compared to Randy Rhoads. His phrasing is all over the place, and he didn't do Randy's parts much justice at times. None of the restraint and control Randy had. He was, in retrospect, trying way too hard. I liked him better by Killer Of Giants, but it was an adjustment.
@@ChorusArtists He has much more control than Randy had, and we can finally hear Randy's part sounding clean live, not sloppy. A wannabe? Jake was his own man and didn't give a flying fck about being another Rhoads.
tommy has the same hair style, face, shape and power for 40yrs! incredible.
My favorite era of the band. Jake E Lee is a brilliant guitarist
The best era is the Randy era and the first two albums. Jake was 'ok' but his sound was twee and thin, he didn't have the power or heaviness of Randy.

@@tommcdonough6086 if your in the states mate u seen it all I’m in Australia we read it all unfortunately as I’m 58 now you just can’t beat 60s 70s and 80s hard rock heavy metal and back into drumming again idol Tommy Aldridge LLR and ROLL👍👌🤘🤘🤘
In 1984 I didn't have the money to buy tickets to concerts. Divorced parents and lived with my drunk ass of a father. HOWEVER, I made my own path and eventually got to see most of the legends I wanted to see, Including Ozzy w/Sabbath in 2016. It was awesome!!
Jake E. Lee stepped up big time and just crushed it. Great guitarist, great showman for sure. RIP Randy
That's the thing. It was like Newstead replacing Cliff. You can't do it and they tortured him. Ozzy took it out on Jake the same way almost. Jake saved him the same way Randy did. He was a mess. BATM and ultimate are great albums.
That's a Rock N Roll Drummer alright !
back when Ozzy was coherent and you could understand his lyrics 😂 this ozzy lineup is underrated. Jake e lee awesome guitar player

Me too brother 🤘🏻
So glad I was there for it. During Monsters of Rock tour, camping out for tickets in the courtyard of an abandoned hotel next to the record store selling tickets. Was there for three days along with maybe 100 other metal heads. Cops checked up on us, but didn't care as long as we weren't too unruly. Just a bunch of like-minded blokes partying and having the time of our lives. No violence. No wokeness. No political bullshit. Good times had by all. No way that shit could be done these days.
The tour that made me a fan of Jake E Lee. I always thought he fit the band perfectly. My fav guitarist!
I was there 🤘 this was three days before my 13th birthday march 18, 1984 salt lake City Utah
I was there too! I turned 13 a few months later. 🍻 This was my first concert, I remember the big cameras set up toward the back of the Salt Palace, the whole atmosphere was amazing. The old Salt Palace was great, seen Ozzy and Jake again a couple years later when he came with Metallica. Jake's playing, look, stage presence...he just ruled!
Me to , SF cow palace within days of your show & I was 2 weeks away from turning 12 . Although we got jipped motley crue didn't open like the bill said . Slade opened & probably never opened again after that .
That’s an amazing feeling!!! I’ll always remember seeing Metallica at 13 it was the most amazing night of my life (so far lol)
I was there too both of my favorite bands motley and ozzy , always remembered someone on the floor with a big flame
Jake is hands down one of the greatest rock guitarist of all time.
Don't you just love how music can trigger memories of a time that is long gone but when listening to this it feels like yesterday.
Ozzy knew how to get a crowd going, one of the best frontmen ever!
I can say one thing about Ozzy, he has excellent pitch!!Always in tune, mostly!!No matter how much drink or drugs, his vocals were amazing!!
I couldn't help noticing how bad his pitch was during The End
Auto-Tuned thru stereo chorus👎
💯
I never saw Ozzy sound this good in person. He was one of the most animated front men ever but, on key??? Never happened on this level. Have you ever heard Speak of the Devil? He sounds phenomenol on that album! Ever heard the actual tapes of those shows? Very different from the way we all remember them sounding! th-cam.com/video/KZ1Xab4YGZU/w-d-xo.html This was Ozzy every time I saw him live. We all knew it was going to be like this and we went anyway for the spectacle and the band. Randy, Jake, Bob, Lee, Don, Rudy, Tommy, Phil, and Randy C. They never dissapointed. Spoiler alert, I never saw him from Zakk on. Partially because this was what he sounded like and I'd already been there and done that.
I saw him once when the vocal effects went out. It was bad. Joe Holmes was playing. He was badass too.
I reckon Ozzy & Sharon were lucky to have had Bob doing such excellent work for them and for so long too.
those lowlifes needed Bob to help structure songs and write the lyrics when Ozzy would toss out stupid song titles like Bark at the Moon and Thank God for the Bomb
@@Dave_Wight_The_Rock_Oracle ...and where is Bob now, lol,OZZY is better than most.
To bad they treated him like shit and dicked him around on paying him. Hell, samr with jake
He did it for the music like any great musician would want to be a part of. Bob Daisly has said his relationship with Ozzy was pretty good when it was the two of them working together but whenever Sharon showed up Ozzy would always end up taking her side regardless of how ridiculous/terrible/unethical her demands were. It was the very definition of a toxic relationship but she made the money happen so there was no way around dealing with her.
@@billriddle9215 I believe Bob retired back to Sydney, Australia. He was never a limelight guy anyway. But Ozzy needed guys like him or he wouldn't have a solo career at all. Just like in Sabbath, Ozzy needed Geezer for the lyrics and Tony for the music. Bob was the brains and primarily the songwriter for Blizzard of Ozz and Diary Of A Madman. Ozzy has talent, but has always had huge limitations on what he can do himself.
1984 San Francisco. The Cow Palace.

Ozzy was so on point most of time, live. It's live, it's raw, no teleprompters, no in ears, no click tracks, no dubbed in music, no pitch correction. I saw this tour. Is was $11.00 GENERAL ADMISSION to see the show. That works out to be $34 in today's money.
The first time I saw Ozzy was on the Blizzard of Oz tour. I spent 2 plus hours pressed up against the fence in front of the stage. The security alley was about 8 feet. Stage was set at 7 feet off the floor. Toldeo Ohio.

@@jeffhodge7272 😮 that’s amazing. I was 10 when Randy died … and in the days before smart phones , social media and 24 news … I had no idea that even happened until I went to the record store to buy Ozzy’s Speak Of The Devil. It was the first album I was buying with my own money and couldn’t wait to hear it as Blizzard and Diary were two of my favorite albums … and as a beginning guitarist Randy was one of my favorite players. I pick up the record and look at the back and I’m thinking … where’s Randy ? I go to the guy at the store who knew all things rock and metal and asked “Did Randy Leave The Band ?” He looked at me and said …. You haven’t heard ? He died , man. In a plane crash earlier in the year.
I was gutted. Tearing up the whole ride home with my mom.
Fast forward 35 years later … and I’m in Miami playing on stage right before Yngwie and Steve Vai played with two very special guests , Niko McBrain and Rudy Sarzo. Before the concert I’m backstage early and who walks into room ? … Rudy. So there’s NO one else at the venue yet and we talked shop for a solid hour, he’s trying out my guitars (he’s VERY good at guitar … makes sense) and he’s letting me play his bass. It was surreal. 10 year old me was jumping for joy inside.
@joeylodes Wow.That's amazing!
Brad Gillis was awesome on that SOTD album. His sound was skull crunching and he nailed Randy's links with class.

I would never take anything away from Randy Rhoads, but FOR ME, Jake E Lee was the best axeman that Ozzy ever had by his side...I was fortunate to see Ozzy's tour in Atlanta, Georgia, with UFO opening. I believe it was 3 days before the plane accident. I have been a Jake fan since The Ultimate Sin (my favorite Ozzy album), a hundred years ago. If only Jake stayed with Ozzy and weathered the maniacal Sharon and all her crap. The line-up in this vid is also Ozzy's best line-up, IMHO.. At this stage, they were unbeatable. My 2 cents.
Guardare Jake E. Lee all' opera, c'è da incantarsi. Lo adoro
Scioltezza incredibile!
Stole my mom's car to go to this concert with a buddy of mine!!!!
