Please guys don't compare or judge. They know they can't reach the level of Randy and Ozzy but it's their efforts to give tribute and respect in remembrance not to show themselves better or to be equal to them. I appreciate their efforts.
I saw Randy play his next to next to final show in Bham, AL. Honest, I was on front row (standing and squished) right in front of Rhoads. This was on day TV reported Belushi had died. I so hate he passed because I'd have gone to see him play with any band he joined in future years. The live Tribute LP does NOT do him justice according to what I witnessed that night. It was one of those "you had to be there" moments. I'll certainly never forget it.
I saw Randy Rhodes live with Quiet Riot and Ozzy. That memory will always be in my mind as the most incredible, genius, master classical, guitar player I have ever witnessed. The problem is I have never had that type of experience again having been to many concerts. Much respect for these guys coming together to keep Randy's spirit alive. I often lay down and listen to Randy over and over I still many years later get tears in my eyes of how much heart and soul that that man put into his playing. God bless

As soon as I saw Doug was playing this one I knew it was going to be badass. He's easily among my favorite players and to be honest, it's not a not long list.
This is a great example of there needing to be a connection between the musicians to have a good sound , undeniably these are some of the best musicians in the world but I’m guessing a lack of time to meet up and practice / getting to know each other musically just lead to this but I think it is a great example of this

Ozzy is one of the metal gods for sure but to say best in history is a stretch best in history would be hard because there are so many great singers and they all had a unique and different sound in their voices Dio tate Dickinson lemmy how could you pick just one? All very different but just as great but in my opinion as a singer ozzy is not in that group as a performer he ranks right up there with them but not vocally

Group effort though Steve, 'The Blizzard Of Ozz' group - Bob Daisley, Randy Rhoads, Ozzy Osbourne, Lee Kerslake. Sharon Osbourne f'd up a great group as we all know. Those first two 'Ozzy solo albums' are not his solo albums if you know what I mean...
Doug's tone is pretty dry while Randy's was over the top ..overdrive upon overdrive noisy mess and harmonics much easier to pull out as opposed to a dry tone. As far as playing, I agree Doug has had better days but is still a great player.
Andy is a kick ass singer...he is also a good guitar player!! Check out his stuff with Last in Line or his live stuff with Lies, Deceit and Treachery!!
Ozzy still sounding like Ozzy. Saw him several times. 30 years ago they talked the same shit already. You just like it or not. To me he has the best voice for Sabbath (Ozzy-era) and Ozzy songs.

surprised at Aldrich's tone he usually has a good sound, maybe its not his rig its not entirely bad just unusually less gainy.
