    Well done to the customer for learning some mechanical knowledge on his first bike. A clutch is big step for a home DIY mechanic. Hopefully he can rewatch your video if he wants to do other work in similar areas in the future.

    Precious about his plastic shed door being open but not too precious to let an absolute monkey install his clutch pack?! Well done for rescuing this one!

    Whoever designed that clutch release arm obv is the same person that designed the same item on the MG3’s gearbox as they suffer a similar issue 😂

    I noticed the plastic filler is slightly bent. Getting them out to fill up with oil is a bit fiddly, and someone has bent theirs a little I see. lol

      They aren’t bad tbh. And they are fully supported for parts unlike a lot of other Chinese brands

    What were you doing to test for slipping at the end there?

    • @themobilemotorbikemechanic
      @themobilemotorbikemechanic  29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Holding on the front brake and SLOWLY releasing the clutch to the point of almost stalling the bike.

      @@themobilemotorbikemechanic And if your plates are worn and slipping it will not allow that and just stall?

    • @markj66
      @markj66 24 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@Cronus111other way around - it will stall if the clutch is working properly. If it keeps running with the front brake on, in gear, and the clutch out then the clutch is slipping.

    What is the proper name of the special tool you used to extract the nut please?

    • @themobilemotorbikemechanic

      The names vary between countries but try looking for a peg socket 👍

    • @yourundoing12
      @yourundoing12 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Also sometimes called ‘castle nut sockets’ I think

      I thought they are castle nuts ?

    • @gallstar201
      @gallstar201 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@tommoso55 Correct the Nuts are... Castellated Nuts. the socket , a peg socket as in a tooth peg is the general name used but you could also call it a castellated socket. I have cut up an old socket to fit a castle nut in the past.
