Well done to the customer for learning some mechanical knowledge on his first bike. A clutch is big step for a home DIY mechanic. Hopefully he can rewatch your video if he wants to do other work in similar areas in the future.
Steve, brilliant videos and especially if something goes wrong which usually do ,great that you show that too ,who hasn't, anyway keep videos coming, I'm on bikes 40th years me ,and still learning, really enjoy your work, stop whistling though 😂😂
Great video, really life mechanic. The only question I have is……. Was it bad design that caused the clutch rotating shaft to seize?? I’ve never seen this before on older bikes!
Precious about his plastic shed door being open but not too precious to let an absolute monkey install his clutch pack?! Well done for rescuing this one!
Hi Steve, ive just been recommended you by one of my Subscribers ...need some work doing on my 2019 Bonneville T120 but im guessing you dont cover Kent?! 😂

Yes it seems so
Another great job done Steve, well done mate!!
Thanks 👍

Excellent job as always. Top man.
Another proper job 👍Just wondering what your opinion is of the build quality of that lexmoto, not that i'm going to swap my fireblade for one 🤣
They aren’t bad tbh. And they are fully supported for parts unlike a lot of other Chinese brands
@@themobilemotorbikemechanic Thanx I been wondering about them for a while.

Sorry but we don’t go that far. We are based in Warwickshire.
Buen video. Si aporta.
Whoever designed that clutch release arm obv is the same person that designed the same item on the MG3’s gearbox as they suffer a similar issue 😂
I noticed the plastic filler is slightly bent. Getting them out to fill up with oil is a bit fiddly, and someone has bent theirs a little I see. lol
👍👍👍👍👍
What were you doing to test for slipping at the end there?
Holding on the front brake and SLOWLY releasing the clutch to the point of almost stalling the bike.
@@themobilemotorbikemechanic And if your plates are worn and slipping it will not allow that and just stall?

👍
What is the proper name of the special tool you used to extract the nut please?
The names vary between countries but try looking for a peg socket 👍
Also sometimes called ‘castle nut sockets’ I think
I thought they are castle nuts ?
