I was always taught to spray chain lube on the inside of the chain rather than the outside as centrifugal force means the lube will work into the chain.
Strange, I just came back to check how difference between this bike and my much earlier version and found my comment was removed, im sure there was nothing but thumbs up for the channel. I'm getting the feeling you tube doesn't like me because my helmet is made from tin foil and i like truth and honesty which is why I like this channel 👍
Brilliant video. I have a 2022 SV... 4 spark plugs, i have to drop the radiator to get to the top plug but need to get a socket extension like you had to remove it as my hands are too big to get in from the side i get the wife to get that one for me. I've subscribed.
Steve, I’ve changed many a spark plug in my time, mostly cars. Last week I changed a single spark plug on a ktm Duke 125. What a complete nightmare that was to do. Big hands no chance.
Hi Steve. Quick thank you for your videos, even spent over 45 years playing with bikes you are still teaching me new things. Bleeding brakes with ABS, any tips ?
I bought it years ago so can’t remember what brand but it is a 7 litre vacuum bleeder. It runs off any compressor and makes light work of bleeding brakes 👍
I had an SV 650 2013 model if I remember correctly, loved the torque and always wanted to try the 1000 , now own a 1982 1000 Harley Iron head and a track tuned, road legal 2020 CBR RRW FireBlade, the torque on the Harley is like a tractor, there's nothing like a V twin for that feeling of being catapulted. Don't suppose you would be near Snetterton, Sufolk? Maybe we could swap for a 5 lap session, you can try the FireBlade👍
@@themobilemotorbikemechanic Definitely a needed bit of kit for a business, I looked at them as I already have a compressor but I only have two bikes and the FireBlade only needs once a week if doing track days (20 mins old school) and the 82 Iron head every spring, so it doesn't make sense for me to buy one👍 they're around £180 pluss on Ebay.
Love the Channel . But I don’t think it’s a good idea to show people how to lube a chain with the engine running and in gear. Especially new riders. Big mistake 😢.

That magnetic spark plug getter is really handy. Great "how to" session as usual. Bravo.
I did my training on one of these, was a great wee bike, always felt safe
Hey, I notice by the sticker above the headlight that the owner was at this years ABR festival, was a great weekend 👋

My break fluid goes that colour after I cook it on track days 🤣👍
Oh you are getting organised with your own portaloo
🤣🤣
Just spotted the back tyre wear, i'm saying nn more. Another one for the algorithm.
My thumbs up was also removed, have clicked it again.
Love it! Thank you
Full service history mate - ah ok. Whatever you say🤪

No tips as such. A vacuum bleeder helps 👍
great job as always lad keep it goin
I see you've been eating 3 Shredded Wheat in being able to take off the old oil filter without the aid of tools😂😂👍👍
I thought you meant how tight the seatbelt is getting 😁
👍
Well done. Fantastic bikes are the SV's I've got the 1000 model.
Can I please ask what make is the nifty fluid pump have you got there ? Thanks

Does 12 psi on the rear not indicate a puncture? That is considerably low, especially if owner has been riding it.
Yes we did unfortunately find a screw in it afterwards 😔
