Probably what people don't realize with the action economy thing is that most moves are constrained to the front 1-2 targets, which changes as the turn order progresses. You can do a little manipulation of that with shoving and stunning, but otherwise this neatly subverts focus fire.

bro dont worry too much about combat strategy and what not. youve been playing this sort of games for long enough where playing these optimally is basically second nature to you. actually seeing you making a mistake here and there and then wracking your brain to come back from that actually makes for more interesting content. basically... keep it up
11:50 The 3rd level of Kindle Spirit no longer required the goblin to be under X% of health to remove his bleed or poison.

Best thing I can find on how to sneak is devblog #8 from January 2022 stating you can sneak with either left shift (which you already tried) or right click. Left trigger/L2 if you are using a controller. Devblog #11 from June 2022 has a screenshot of the options menu showing it is left shift or left trigger. So.. I guess press left shift harder..? Maybe..?
based on the fact there was an event that raised sneak 30%. it would imply that sneak is a hidden rng factor now

(I think the reason it didn’t look random is that the blue targeting arrow switches just as you use the skill)

I think armor up is stronger than you think it is
most mobs attack the frontline so that skill helps your tank be the longest at the frontline,I feel like it is equally good to guarding or even good guarding prep

Not sure if you had realized this after the time of me commenting but i think bleed doesnt count as "physical damage" which was boosted by the shrine, making chop better but not the bleed.

Revenge for Denthrasher! These new labor laws are ruining this Den once and for all! How is he supposed to provide for his family when his own Cavern won't accept him? Unacceptable!
For the sneak attack try to walk on to the enemies when they are turned around and walking away from you. Not just when they have their backs turned to you. Just an idea that might work.

You're so good at these types of games, and I'm so terrible with the strategy of most roguelike/lite games. The difference in skill is vast. Like, I can lose with combos that you have shown are completely OP and broken... and yet, the compulsion to shout "Why did you do THAT? You obviously should have done ______! How could you????" is extremely strong. Luckily, I have the wherewithal to not type it in a comment. Usually. ;)

Gained are is different from armor, and matters differently for skills, as one skill heals based off gained are which does not count armor you have passively from equipment, it only counts armor gained from the combat. Where has the attack counts all armor you have including the passive armor

btw i think "ambush" triggers if you attack right after they turn around, just a guess
I have also seen it trigger while they were walking away (in previous vidoes). I think there is a decent chance that it is just facing away + random, like Reto's current guess.
Hopefully Loadpunter’s stats will do him well in one of the classes that haven’t been unlocked yet

the ambush is not random, it goes off only when you approach your enemies with caution.
If u see in your videos, the only times u triggered the ambush is when u stop a bit early at the back of your enemies.

Looks like there is more to discover.
The skill upgrade system is interesting. It seems very good, strange to see it as a temporary upgrade for that mission though.
If you have some line of communication with the dev, I would suggest adding a "sell all treasure" button to the shop that auto sells all of the treasure that's marked as safe to sell.

Played Darkest Dungeon, love the whole replay dungeon exploration, mega loathe the stress mechanic.

On a previous video I had my hopes up that the heal's secondary effects triggered once the conditions were met (during the heal's lingering phase) even if it was a few turns after it was cast. That would have helped so much during the early game when your goblin's health is so low & the enemy's atk and bleed application is so high. To preemptively apply the heal knowing it'll remove the bleed as soon as they're within the threshold, as apposed to needing to wait until they're a hit away from death to start the very slow healing process with hopes they don't die (or the fight doesn't end so they can recover some health too) in the meantime. Though seeing the upgrade system I can see how it makes sense.
if nothing falls behind you, i THINK you can go back. might be worth it when you pass a sale of some sort
Another good video! I do not know for sure, but it seems like the first time you go to an area is a scouting mission that is easier? maybe you could throw mostly rookies together with 1 or 2 vets just so you can make the rookies into vets and retire them? might be a way to get more souls.
Seems like it's better to take the middle path now that you have adventures with 3+ elevation levels. That gives you the highest chance of being able to ascend or descend to an encounter you really want to take

So to ambush you have to succeed a check but I feel like starting the fight while the enemy is moving away from you gives you better odds
You really need to breed riskmonger more he has 4 genetic traits and is the only one with lucky

i personally would not breed with someone named ballmangler but whatever floats your boat
I feel like it might be a good idea to run more rookies in your parties. They might have worse stats, but if you get them through a mission, you can just retire them and get more souls that way, which leads to some decent progression. And if you don't get them through a mission... Well, they won't be taking up space at the retirement home but you still get souls!
Also, can you only use warrens once per day?

I think the heal is just a bit underwhelming , it looks to me more like a status removal instead because enemies end up doing too much damage
