Top tip for bandits. They are health sponges, give them health traits like brute and tough skin (aim for around 80+hp) and have them boost allies damage while taking hits where possible. By doing this you can keep rage on your attack goblins (hunters, raiders), move them to the front for more attacks even after 3 initiative moves for just 6 hp. Then when your bandit has taken around 50 damage you can use them to inflict that damage upon enemies through the revenge skill allowing you to enter a fight low on hp and 1 shots enemies. Ive found best weapon for bandits is any weapon with +30% speed to keep up the rage and health tanking by getting to the front fast. Hope that helps. ^_^
Your Acolytes remind me so much of when I tried to use only Vestals in Darkest Dungeons as a challenge... Turns out, those guys are actually really strong
@52:30 Double strike is affected by the bandit buff I guess, so the first shot hits the first wolf, also damaging and killing the second wolf, then of course the second shot has only one target. Looks like the double shot is quite worthy for this buff :)
Double shot is definitely buggy. Sometimes it will hit 3 times. I dont know what causes it to, but it definitely does which actually makes it an amazing ability.
Yeah, idk, I was just thinking there's quite a few of those that idk if not caught by release, maybe could've been by now? I've not played myself (tho I'm hoping to bc this story and it actually seems doable by normal humans), but it seems like the descriptions and things like really loud fly sound could've been caught by now? That said, I love the story, and the lore, and the art is beautiful
My third breeding ground is bugged since chapter 3. Also right before Chapter 3 i had to fight in slowmotion. Generally it became even more buggy since Chapter 3. But i really liked that sometimes on adventures it doubles the speed of all animation and running. They should put that in as a features. It made the fights more pleasant for me.
Y'know, idk if I've mentioned, but it's interesting how orcs are traditionally portrayed as rather... Low in their mind stat. But some of the smartest characters in the game are orcs. That said, Frono could've just iunno, told the orcs in the prison camp what was up and also not put them in shackles? Like there's no language barrier the other way around!
Question: at 48:48, are you able to you go back and have the easy fight, and then go up to the harvest? I don't see any cross. Don't know how it works though.
Am under the impression he can't. There have been similar scenario where he could go back on what would be considered a junction but he's not given a choice on which direction back to go to (no up or down), he just ends up on the previous path he had already chosen.
@@houhanli7239 Would also make sense to considering the ending reports say x/5 areas explore each expedition. Retro may be right that maybe an earlier iteration of the game allowed players to go back but it was changed last minute.
@retromation I have followed this with you all the way through, brought the game on release and played for a couple of hours. yesterday I played for around 8 hours, today I went on and have been rolled back to what I had done on day of release. As I enjoy this content I'm hoping it doesn't happen to your save also. just a heads up.
Sadly later the heals from acolyte arent strong enough especially since you use the swap places spell that will hurt them. So replace one with Shaman and then your 2 acolytes can rampage freely.
@@PandaXStormActually it doesnt matter if you have multiple akolytes for wombocombo because you can always bring them back with the bandit. The reason to have multiple akolytes is that you have a higher chance for one with the right spells at the right time. Thats why you also fill in with low cost spells for both too. You will need the heal or you will whip them to death by yourself too xD
I knew there would be wild "streamer _always_ wrong" people who would say that the phrasing of "Battle" can _obviously_ be understood as "Every battle for an expedition". I don't buy that anyone would honestly interpret it that way on first read. The developers have said it is either a bug or phrased poorly. Come on.
Truly is a shame particularly with how many alternative ways it could have been implemented. Such as physically setting it up within the Enemy's timeline and triggering when the first enemy steps on it (when they move up to where it got placed), hurting any who were within the same time tick as the one activating it or the enemies adjacent to it. Alternatively on the simpler side just flat-out increasing the trigger chance, allowing the chance to trigger to be up-gradable or allowing it to scale with crit-rate for example (add x% more per crit rate chance of the one who set it or maybe the one who's attacking it to the preset 50% chance) would greatly help.
Man that halfling made a heck of a charisma check
Hope you continue this series all the way!
Reroll once per battle is just once per run ,it has been like that for all the runs
So yes you really only reroll on bosses or hard scenarios
I was about to comment; it maybe needs one battle to recharge, but this is better.
@Retromation
The developers should perhaps change the wording to "once per expedition" since that's how it's working

That sounds awesome - hope we get to see it in action!
Wish we could see the Warden slowly getting dissovled into the slime boss as the battle ensued.
We gotta continue this till the end! Thank you for this series, it's quite enjoyable
Good progress , interesting boss fight.
Hope we see the last few classes soon.
Moar Gobbos! Thanks for dropping another episode! 🎉🎉
Your Acolytes remind me so much of when I tried to use only Vestals in Darkest Dungeons as a challenge... Turns out, those guys are actually really strong
The dream of stun, scold, expose, finished with a devious shot exists.
I am loving this series! I’ve been waiting for this since you tried it years ago. So glad you are playing it
ah yes your Chair in RL also has a 20% stun chance on you :D
I love ambushes, makes easy wins more interesting and kills all hope on a bad run. Such a great story

I felt like this episode channeled a lot of Reto's inner goblin
Retaliate is a brilliant skill for a guard. Its a 1 turn speed skill and I swapped out armor up (+2) skill for it. Enjoy!
I joined in to the gasp marking Gaspjoiners adulthood xD
Love this series hope it goes all the way to the end
Still really enjoying this. Hope you finish it

Double shot 52:54 has been known to be buggy. I've seen it become a quad shot.
Please even more goblin stone!
loving this series reto keep it up =)
You should put your bandit one or 2 goblin before your hunter, so you can push back and then arrow
Prepare for trouble, and make it triple!
AoE shaman build with Pestilance upgrades goes crazy! Would definitely recommend looking into it
came back to comment cuz i want more. its crazy the other classes havent unlocked yet..
Nice another episode! The thing with the re-roll not working ist a shame, but ether scold and divine punishments very strong.
46:52 did... did that goblin just hit the Griddy?
Loving all the Goblin Stone!
I hope they fix the reroll bug soon
And that was a LOT of ambushes. Which really sucks in a mostly logically game
I easily see ruthless doing huge numbers against this boss
Waiting for the mystic!
Absolutely fantastic game. It's a shame that it seems to be really quite buggy, or that the descriptive text doesn't match the actual mechanics.

Mama slime!!
It mentioned earlier that there could be recessive genes. I think the random low stats are from that not sure tho.

Wooooooo Goobbos
Is there ever a way to permanently upgrade the skills or is it always just in run?
Only in run
